I purchased a facial via Living Social. I was unfamiliar with La Bella e Famosa. Salon and Spa. Upon entering the spa I was not impressed. There was no one to greet me (I was, however, about 20 minutes early for my appointment). The reception room was slightly ragged looking, chipped paint, dirty/marked up wall, and dusty art; not exactly what you want to see when going to a spa. I was escorted to a waiting room which had a moldy smell, presumably due to a water feature in the room. The treatment room seemed better. On the positive side, Kristen, who did my facial was accommodating and adjusted my purchased facial to a 'custom facial" to fit the needs of my skin (which is what I thought all estheticians do for all clients). I was a little disappointed in that this facial apparently did not include mini-massage. During every facial I've ever had there was at least a shoulder massage and often a hand massage. She did, however, point out that they also offer "relaxing facials" (I had purchased a "results" contouring facial) so apparently this wasn't supposed to be all that relaxing.
Overall the experience was decent. I certainly got my money's worth based on the results (because of the Living Social $50 deal) but would have been extremely disappointed had I paid the full stated amount of $245. The results of the facial are good but the salon itself needs a little overhaul.
