I have been going to LNAH since 1990 so I've been there to see a lot of changes. Vets have come & Vets have gone. Some I liked & some I didn't but in my opinion, right now they have the best staff that they have ever had. I have never had a vet or vet tech that did not act with compassion toward my dogs or me and believe me when I say that I've had some very sick one's & some with issues. They have always contacted me after I have had a problem to check up on the dog & see how it's doing. Never had a problem with the receptionists, or a bill, or medicine or whatever. They have always helped me or found the person who could if I needed someone. Just speaking about my own experience with LNAH. more

First, I brought my dog in to the hospital part of the clinic. our vet nurse was named Stephanie. She was very kind and compassionate with my dog and in my opinion the only good thing about Lake Norman Animal Hospital. When the doctor and owner came in he was very pushy and charged extra for things that didn't need to be done. Then around a month later I was going on a trip and needed to board my dog. I didn't think it would be as bad but it was. There were two short haired ladies there. One was short and on the heavy side, she seemed to have been bossy towards the others and not very friendly. I had booked an indoor room for my dog as he is older and is hard for him to get around. When I picked him up, he was outside in the cold, shaking and scared to death. They charged me for shots that he had already gotten and even though I picked up a day early I still had to pay for the extra day. Will not be back. more

Best Animal Hospital in Mooresville 4/18/2012

I have used this animal hospital for 25 years. I have had all my cats and dogs spayed and neutered here. I tend to be a basket case when something is wrong with one of my 4 legged family. The staff there is very supportative and understanding. I had found a stray cat and was having her spayed and she died on the operating table. The vet started CPR and brought my cat back. That was amazing and the cat recovered completely. Great doctors on staff. My 1st choice for all my pet care... more

great vet 3/17/2012

I am surprised by bad reviews. I have been coming here since 2006 and no one has ever been rude or unprofessional. I have 2 dogs and now 2 puppies and they take great care of them. I also use them for boarding too. I use to work for a great vet in Florida so I am very picky. \r They have been there during several trying situations and always been great. more

You want a good vet? Try Mooresville Animal Hosptail. DO NOT GO TO LAKE NORMAN ANIMAL HOSPITAL!\r \r This place was very rude, not friendly towards me or my dogs. They were unwilling to help during an emergancy, they handled my 8 week old puppy very roughly. They were rude to me when I asked how much their services cost. They said I shouldn't ask if I couldn't afford it. I've had dogs for over 30 years and I have NEVER met a vet so uncaring and unfriendly as these people are. \r \r I left and took my pets to Mooresville Animal Hosptial on Hwy 21 and those people had MUCH better prices, they were very friendly, they treated my dogs like their own, were very gental and caring and explained things and answered questions in a language I could understand. \r \r STAY AWAY FROM LAKE NORMAN ANIMAL HOSPITAL! Cons: Unfriendly, Rude Staff, Uncaring, high prices more

Terrible, upsetting, and heartbreaking 12/12/2007

We bought a 6 week old puppy for our daughter who's pet just died of a liver defect. A couple of days later, the puppy started to get sick. We took her to the Lake Norman clinic the first time and they did a few tests then sent her home. The puppy was not getting better. My wife took the puppy back as she was getting worse and requested to have a Parvo test. The puppy ended up having Parvo. We were told that to treat the disease would cost possibly over $1,000. It was Christmas time and we were very short. We decided to get the treatments anyway and were at first begging for a payment plan. We could not let another pet of my daughter's die. The Vet would not work with us and was getting ready to refuse the pet. I guess that the health of their patients is not the most important thing. We ended up figuring how to get our puppy to stay and get treatments. She was sent home with us the next week saying that she was improved enough to go home. When she came home, she started getting worse. We called and was told that this sometimes happens with Parvo but to keep an eye and make sure that she did not have nausea or diareah. Our puppy did not want to eat and seemed to be getting weaker. We forced her to eat and drink and hoped that she was only recovering. One thing that concerned us was that the Vet did not give our puppy a bl00d test even though they had her on an IV. I guess that they were trying to save costs.\r Last night , our puppy went into a coma. We immediately brought her to an emergency clinic. It turns out that she had some other underlying problems that could have been detected through a bl00d test and probably fixed if they would have been looked into then. The clinic restored her vitals but right now the puppy is still in a coma. Thank you Lake Norman Clinic. Your lack of caring and concern may make us have to tell our daughter she has lost another pet at Christmas. I guess we realize what is really most important to you. Cons: Not thorough or caring, not patient friendly more

Great vet. Compassionate. Will actually 'listen' to you and won't 'talk over' you. Saved my dog's life! more
