We bought a 6 week old puppy for our daughter who's pet just died of a liver defect. A couple of days later, the puppy started to get sick. We took her to the Lake Norman clinic the first time and they did a few tests then sent her home. The puppy was not getting better. My wife took the puppy back as she was getting worse and requested to have a Parvo test. The puppy ended up having Parvo. We were told that to treat the disease would cost possibly over $1,000. It was Christmas time and we were very short. We decided to get the treatments anyway and were at first begging for a payment plan. We could not let another pet of my daughter's die. The Vet would not work with us and was getting ready to refuse the pet. I guess that the health of their patients is not the most important thing. We ended up figuring how to get our puppy to stay and get treatments. She was sent home with us the next week saying that she was improved enough to go home. When she came home, she started getting worse. We called and was told that this sometimes happens with Parvo but to keep an eye and make sure that she did not have nausea or diareah. Our puppy did not want to eat and seemed to be getting weaker. We forced her to eat and drink and hoped that she was only recovering. One thing that concerned us was that the Vet did not give our puppy a bl00d test even though they had her on an IV. I guess that they were trying to save costs.\r Last night , our puppy went into a coma. We immediately brought her to an emergency clinic. It turns out that she had some other underlying problems that could have been detected through a bl00d test and probably fixed if they would have been looked into then. The clinic restored her vitals but right now the puppy is still in a coma. Thank you Lake Norman Clinic. Your lack of caring and concern may make us have to tell our daughter she has lost another pet at Christmas. I guess we realize what is really most important to you. Cons: Not thorough or caring, not patient friendly
