Everybody treats me so nice here. I'm so pleased with my wound care. The wound care girls, Loma and Margarette, are the finest. The girl at the desk is wonderful. The staff seems knowledgeble and helpful for the most part. The care he receivesis doing him good.It seem that the section is short staffed at times, that can't be good for the patients. Satisfactory so far. more

I have been in the hospital for six weeks now and I have has Ryan as my physical therapist since I was transferred down stairs. He's amazing, kind and knowledgeable. I couldn't ask for a better person taking care of me while I am here. He explains the exercises and treats you like a real person. He pays attention to all the little details and that is so important to me as a person and a patient. more

Patient room could use fresh paint and new chairs. Seemed to be under staffed. Nurse response was a little slow at times. We were pleased with wound care and physical and occupational therapy. The patient food menu was pretty limited for someone on a regular diet. more

I came here crying, upset, concerned, stressed. But this place stepped up and showed me that the patient comes first. Not one person in this hospital has a negative attitude. They all have a great attitude, great personalities. It is really amazing, they speak hope, show love and hope towards patients AND families. They communicate well and I always have peace knowing my husband is getting the best care, even while I keep up my busy life and working two jobs. It has been enjoyable with Ryan and Katie. I need plenty of encouragement and they are good at that. In two weeks I have made it out of bed to the chair which I thought it would at least be 2 months because of how hard it was and how sick I am. Ryan is a teddy bear. Katie is a lion. They compliment each other well. Unfortunately I may be leaving but hopefully I can stay here a little longer for therapy. Doty more

I have been so sick for so long that my care has seemed slow. I think I can tell I am getting better and my doctor says I am ready for rehab and I am stable. So that is good, most of the people were very nice and I enjoyed their company. My favorite people that I felt most comfortable with are Katie from OT, Ryan from PT, Sandra from the CNA group, and John from nursing. Norma more

They have done more for my wounds than they did in Jacksonville. I have been battling these wounds for 7 months going in and out of the hospital. They stayed on top of my wounds and changed the bandages like they are supposed to. The wound care team and the nurses are very knowledgeable about wounds and what it takes to heal them. All the staff deserve a thank you from me because they all did great. I'm going to be honest, I would not have stayed if they were not great. William Weeks more

I have a 30 yr old daughter that has been in a coma since Nov 12, 2017 and has been at Kindred hospital the staff here is very good and also very caring to my daughter needs. it really makes me feel good to know that she's being cared for in a great way which makes me feel at peace when I'm not here. I'm here every day with my daughter and see how the staffing is very dedicated to do a very good job. I truly have put my trust in them when it comes to my daughter and she has been making a big change since being here with moving and opening her eyes. God is truly good and so is the staff here at Kindred. more

I am still getting better. Last week I got off the breathing machine and this week I started to eat, got rid of the tube in my nose, and have been working on standing. I think I go to rehab next week so I definitely feel like I will be ready to go there. I am happy with the care I have gotten here so far. more

I am happy that I came here because I have been getting better. I have been weaning off the vent machine for two days now. They say I can maybe start eating once I am off completely. I am stronger, my pain is better, and I am not coughing as much. Everyday is better. The people here are nice too. They try to help me and give me time to listen to me. Cory more

Over the last few years, I have had my wife at many Medicare facilities for care and treatment. None compare to Kindred in Ocala, FL. I would like to compliment your entire staff for their and concern for not only her well being, but mine as a husband of the patient as well. For example, your physical therapist, Ryan, was doing her therapy with her and she requested a nurse. Ryan went and immediately located a nurse for her. She requested a couple of pillows, I was walking down the hallway and the gentleman in charge of the physical plant for the institution located a couple for me with a smile on his face. Everyday we have been here, I see your entire staff pitch in, step up, and assist my wife's needs and concerns. After the trauma of moving from Marion West Hospital to Kindred Hospital I was understandingly in distress. The next day, Ryan gave me physical therapy. His kindness and concern for my anxieties did much to relieve me of my pain. He was meticulous in the small things and that meant a lot. And the patience such as I was. We had been through the ringer with hospitals and doctors who just won't listen.Since coming to Kindred in Ocala Fla it has renewed our faith in the medical profession.The people are caring and attentive.Their goal is to help you recover and get on with your life! Everyone is great here, they take good care of me. They do not want me to fall so they try to keep me safe. They try to make me feel at home. They give me medicines and try to get me to eat well so I can get stronger and better. I sure am going to miss everyone here. I made good progress at Kindred. I did not know much about it when I first came there, but I am glad my doctors told me to come. They helped me to breath on my own, got my wounds better, and even got me strong enough to almost go home. I just need a little more time to get strong enough to take care of myself and my wife and to drive again. Being in such bad shape when I got there I am happy to have made great progress. My wife was admitted to Kindred Hospital directly from the SICU unit in Monroe Hospital. She had been on a respirator for almost a month from the paralyzing effect of Guillain Barre Syndrome. She came to Kindred with pneumonia, cardiac arrhythmia, and a sacral bed sore. Quite frankly, as a retired physician, I felt that my wife and many of the other patients at Kindred in previous times would have been treated at a higher level than Kindred. Nevertheless, my wife improved a great deal by the time of discharge 4 weeks later. Her pneumonia was healed as was the bed sore; she had excellent early return to her arms; and heart function was stable. She was ready for a rehab hospital where she is also doing very well. The nursing staff at Kindred are very friendly, informative, and seem to like their job despite the demands of their patients. They succeed because of teamwork as many of the patients are acutely ill. I also have especially high praise for the respiratory therapy team for their care of my wife. They also are team players often helping the nurses with their chores.I also felt the physician care and communication was more consistent with one constant physician in charge. more

The staff took very good care of my wife at this hospital. She did phenomenal and I am go glad she came here. She came on the vent and was very weak. They knew just how to wean her from the vent and progress her so she would not backslide. She now has no trach, is so communicative, is standing, and back to doing at least some of the things she likes. Even with a diagnosis like guillain barre syndrome, the staff can produce great results. We are very happy. more

I have been so blessed to come here to Kindred. The people are very nice and they know how to take care of patients like me. I came here with a trach and needed a lot of help to breath. I also needed antibiotics and I had wounds. I am able to breath on my own now, without a trach. I'm walking, and I know I am going home soon. I cannot wait to go home so I can see my family and go to church. Ray more

We were told we were coming here and I was not sure what to expect, but it far exceeded my expectations. The care was fantastic. The wound care nurse, Loma, was the bomb. The nursing staff and techs were attentive. The food was good and she is eating well. My mom got the right antibiotics and resolved the pneumonia. We are glad she is going back to Palm Gardens where she lives. more
