Everyone has been wonderful. All the staff have treated me with respect and caring. It’s been a good experience if you have to be in a hospital.

Special thanks to Lila, Martin, Mike, Trudy, Susie, Karen, and Jennifer. These are patient aides, nurses, therapists, and my advocate. These people really were great. I’m probably forgetting a few more. Jennifer follows through on everything she says she will and that is rare these days. I would recommend this facility to others. more

My experience 3/26/2019

I think kindred is a very good place to go. I needed rehab from my surgery after I developed an infection. The wound care team is very caring, thorough, and experienced with what they do. My wound has nearly healed since being here. I’m very impressed with the healing of my wound just within the past few days. Physical therapy is thorough and takes time with you as I have scoliosis and they are understanding. I have been rushed at other facilities and I am not rushed here! They are kind and compassionate about my condition. The food is good. My friends came over for my birthday and the staff took to me to the lobby so I could celebrate my birthday. Jennifer has been attentive and checks on me daily. My call light is answered quickly. I would recommend this facility. more

Experience 3/19/2019

Many kind and compassionate people at this facility. The wound care nurses are great. I’m repositioned and made comfortable by the staff. My private and clean room has been very nice. Allowing more two visitors at a time kept my spirits up. The patient advocate has checked on me daily and has assisted with communication or messages. I wasn’t aware this facility existed and I’d recommend it to others. more

Great place 3/7/2019

My daughters care has been excellent. This facility is phenomenal and treat my daughter with loving kindness, the staff is caring, and respectful. I love the staff and the loving care she receives here. I love this place and wish they offered a skilled nursing unit. I sleep at night knowing my daughter is being taken care of. I would recommend this facility to anyone in need of care for their loved one. more

Kindred experience 2/26/2019

I give Kindred 4.5 stars! During the month stay here at kindred, the physicians have done well at communicating. I have enjoyed working with Dr. Reddington and Dr. Rubio. The nurses have done a great job and the PCT’s are thorough. Speech therapy and rehab department deserves 5 stars. The facility is nice, well maintained, and kept clean. The food is excellent. The respiratory team did a good job. Being able to stay overnight with my wife has been very nice. Case management has communicated well with me. I would definitely recommend this hospital. more

Experience 2/15/2019

While being here with my wife at kindred I think all off the physicians are very professional! We’ve had very good respiratory technicians! The facility is easy to access. The cafeteria food is good. The cleanliness of the patient rooms is kept up. The weekly team meetings are productive. Jennifer has been a great facilitator and visits us everyday. Justin is very thorough and follows through with respiratory. more

My experience 2/7/2019

The staff is on top of things. They are kind and considerate. I would come back to kindred and would rather stay here than go to another facility. They accommodated my needs and expectations. Respiratory fixes problems with my machine immediately. Susan and crystal are great nurses! Everything here was great. Dinner was delivered on time. I really wish I wasn’t leaving. more

Care at kindred 1/23/2019

Since my admission to kindred the nursing staff, pct's, and especially the wound care team have treated me with the upmost respect and the best of care. Everyone here answers my call light including non- clinical staff. My room has been kept clean and the staff from housekeeping has even watered my rose bush. Dietary personnel speak with me and treat me with respect and knock on my door prior to entering my room. The therapy department is awesome and they are so willing to help me work on my physical strength and mobility to get me home. The rehab gym is wonderful as I can practice using stairs which I will have to be able to do when I go home. Everyone works together here and I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone in need of an LTAC. more

Hospital 1/20/2019

I have been here three weeks. I like many of the PCT's and nurses. I like the dietician working with me and my nutrition. The therapy department has encouraged me to work on my physical rehabilitation. The weekly meetings are informative. more

Care at kindred 1/14/2019

I've been a patient here for 29 days. I came to ICU and by the time of my discharge I am just on oxygen. My room was kept clean. The rooms are large and private. I was treated with empathy. I would recommend this facility to others. more

Kindred Dayton 1/11/2019

The care provided by the physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, and physical therapy department has been outstanding. Doug, spent a significant amount of time with me explaining my goals and how we would achieve them. This motivated me to work with therapy even when I didn't want to. The night nurse Karen and the PCT Rosie provided me with excellent care and they spoiled me by being attentive and listening to me. Other nurses provided great care as well but I can't recall their names. The rooms at the facility are private and kept clean which is very nice to have a private room. The weekly meetings are very informative and keep you informed about your progress and goals. The case manager, Lisa kept me informed of my progress and goals to be released. Jennifer, the patient advocate, communicated with me and sought out answers to questions I had and relayed the information back to me. I would recommend Kindred to others. more

Kindred Dayton 12/6/2018

My wife has been at kindred for nearly two months and during the two months here; as her husband I have had interaction with many staff members. Some of our time here was in ICU and the care provided by two nurses was excellent. These nurses are super. The facility conducts weekly team meetings and these are very informative as they relay her progress and plan of care in a way that I can understand. Upper management and the patient relations representative coming around and interacting with the family and patient makes us feel somewhat at home and they want to know about any concerns we may have. Physicians are open for discussions and easy to talk to. Compared to other hospitals, I feel the cleanliness is superb. Everyone treats us with kindness and compassion. I would recommend this facility to others. more

Kindred 11/27/2018

Before I made the choice to come to Kindred, I'd. heard so many bad things about this facility. However, I'm the type of person who believes in giving people a chance and am glad I gave Kindred a try. There are so many people at this facility who I'd like to express our gratitude for their services by name but I don't want to leave anyone out. The majority of these people are amazing and I hope they continue the outstanding quality of work they've provided my husband (the patient) and me. more

My Hospital Stay 9/27/2018

I have enjoyed my stay at Kindred Hospital, the people were very caring and took good care of me. The night shift girl Rosie is so pleasant. The house keepers were friendly when they came in too clean my room. The hospital food was good and you can't always say that about hospital food. James the nurse came often and would often bring me my cards from the mail. It was a good stay but I am getting out today but thanks for all that you have done more

My Kindred Experience 9/18/2018

I was transferred to Kindred after my time at another hospital. I have been treated very well by the people who work here. I have a few people who stand out in my experience, the PCT Rosie is always so willing to help and pleasant. My nurse Martin that I have had many times has always been on time when I need anything. I had never been to Kindred Hospital and did not know what to expect but I have enjoyed my time here. I would like to go home today and they are working on home healthcare. Therapy here has been helpful with me getting a little stronger each day despite my cancer. The guy who stops in to check on my stay here is helpful and listens to me and never in a rush. There have been so many good people, just to many to remember them all, I am sorry I can't think of all their names. more

Great Care 9/12/2018

We have been happy with the care provided so far. It's been a long process with being in and out of hospitals then to yet another. The nurses have been attentive and friendly especially nurse Martin. Rosie the pct is a delight and has been a source of inspiration. The nurse James is friendly, comes to see us everyday even on some weekend days going above what we are sure is expected. We hope this gets to the people that manage the workers. Love the doctors Rubio is great a real person who talks like a friend. Thanks all of you. more

Good care 8/7/2018

The care at kindred has been good. Joan from therapy has been terrific. She is very supportive and encouraging. Kathy, Trudy and Rosie from night shift were very good to me. Pcts steph and Lila from day shift were also very friendly and good to me. I would recommend kindred, it has been a good experience for me. more

Great care 7/23/2018

My husband has received very good care while at kindred hospital. Susie, the speech therapist was fabulous. Anytime I had an issue, it was addressed. People were friendly. I just wish there was more continuity of care. We had 11 different nurses since he was here. more

Thankful 6/21/2018

I love the people at kindred. The nurses and pct's have done a great job of taking care of me. I love when they joke with me. Karen, from therapy, puts a smile on my face when she comes through the door. Kesha is on the ball and knows what she is doing. She knows how to joke with me. Done she is soft spoken and on the ball. She comes back when she says she is going to. Given to what happened to me personally, I'm glad that I have had the staff at kindred to take care of me. Jon, from respiratory has been really nice and friendly to me. Suzy from speech is the bomb. more

Day shift rocks 6/12/2018

Some nurses are good, some was not so good. Respiratory , Mattie, has been good to me. Physical therapy has been working real hard with me. Day shift seems to be more caring than night shift. Mary, the day time nurse, has been a stand out to me. Alice, Angela and Monica from day and Rosie from night have also been stand outs to me. I would definitely recommend kindred, they have been good to me. more

With 51 long-term acute care hospital beds, we offer the same in-depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. Our 46-bed behavioral health unit offers treatment for adults ages 18+, including dedicated services for geriatric patients. The unit offers 24-hour supervised psychiatric treatment and crisis support for mental health issues and like the LTACH, we partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness.
