Everyone has been wonderful. All the staff have treated me with respect and caring. It’s been a good experience if you have to be in a hospital.

great wound team 6/7/2018

I really like some of the nurses. Sometimes there is a lack of communication between shifts, but I know that probably happens everywhere. The wound care team, Amy and Erin , are wonderful. Karen and Trudy were always very thorough with their assessments. Virginia, Tammy and Erica from night shift are a few others who stand out. Overall the care has been good. I would probably recommend kindred if someone needed this level of care. more

Did great 5/30/2018

You did great. Therapy was good, wish I could of had more time in the gym. Respiratory was real good with, especially the night time respiratory therapist. Everyone has been real good. Food was excellent. Lisa helped me with sharing her phone charger, that was very helpful. more

A1! 5/16/2018

A1! Everyone in here has been real nice. Every nurse and pct is friendly and has treated me great. Angela, Alice, Marsha to name a few. I've only had 2 bad meals the whole time I've been here. I never did get that chocolate cake that I kept seeing on the menu. Therapy has been real good. They push, I didn't always like it but I know they had my best interest and knew it would benefit me. Respiratory has been outstanding. Mattie, Seoul, Steve must great. Dr. Kahn and his PA have been great. Lisa has been super duper. Always stopping by to check on me. Amy was always keeping me informed with what was going on. I would recommend kindred. more

Great staff 5/16/2018

Kindred has a great staff. I have been very pleased with all of them. The kitchen was able to accommodate me with my vegetarian diet. The food has been ok. Therapy was wonderful. They got me up and moving and I am able to get out of here sooner than expected. I have been happy with the way my dad has been treated, I would certainly recommend kindred to anyone who needed this hospital. more

All in all the care has been pretty good. I think everybody has been really great. Therapy has been good. Food has been pretty good too. I would send people here if they needed this type of care. I didn't realize how bad I was until I started getting better. more

The people at kindred are doing a great job. They respect your privacy. The nursing staff and pct's are great. They are friendly. They feed you well at kindred. Therapy has been awesome. Really great people. Keep up the good work. I would definitely recommend Kindred. more

Most of the care at kindred hospital was good. The therapist were friendly. The nurses were pretty good. Some of the pct's were not so nice and the food was eh. Overall, I have been pleased with my care and most of the staff. more

I have had an enjoyable time at kindred. People have been very friendly. Lisa has been very kind and enjoyable and always smiling. Her smile and personality always cheers me up. I have no complaints with my stay at kindred. more

The best 4/4/2018

It started when the liaison did everything they could to get me to kindred. The wound team is excellent! One of the best. Tiffany, Amy and Erin are so compassionate . They always make sure I'm ok as they are taking care of my wounds. Nurses are wonderful. They respond quickly to the call light. The team here goes beyond what I ever expected. My doctors explain everything to me. Dr. Torres is an excellent doctor. My case manager, Tina has been so helpful with all my paperwork. Lisa is always checking in on me and making sure I'm am being well taken care of. Evs and dietary are really nice as well. Everybody smiles and that really helps. Kindred is a really good place. more

Kindred has been the right kind of care for me. They caught my infection right away. The nurses and pct's have been very good and very polite. The food has been good. Overall I have had a good experience here at kindred hospital. I have been treated well. more

Caring staff 2/21/2018

The people are caring, they take their time with you. They are not in a hurry. Therapy has been great. They are very encouraging. Respiratory therapy has been great. Jon from respiratory has been really good. Leona, the night nurse is fabulous. I love her, she is one of my favorites. The food is good here as well. It is delicious, I really liked it. more

Best in town 2/19/2018

I have been in 4 different hospitals and kindred has been the best by far. I have found that 95% of the nurses are great to work with. They put aside their struggles and help me. Sharon's from Evs, has been a ray of sunshine. I really appreciate her. I have no complaints with anyone. My stay here has been great. I love it 100% and wouldn't trade it for anything! more

They are good to me 2/14/2018

They have gone out of their way to try to get me my potassium. I have difficult taking it. They always come and clean my bed. They get me off the commode in a timely manner. They take care of all my needs. Stacy from the kitchen has been exceptional! She goes above and beyond to find me fruit and makes sure I have my extra milk. Monica has been good and so has Serena. Lisa has been a godsend. She always talks to me and checks on me. She helps me and will get my ice for me. more

Some nurses are real good. My call light is acknowledged in a reasonable amount of time. Ashley from physical therapy has been real good to me. The care has been good that I have received here at kindred. I am looking forward to going home . more

  • Our hospital does not offer emergency services. Kindred Hospital Dayton and Behavioral Health Unit is a 97-bed hospital. With 51 long-term acute care hospital beds, we offer the same in-depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. Our 46-bed behavioral health unit offers treatment for adults ages 18+, including dedicated services for geriatric patients. The unit offers 24-hour supervised psychiatric treatment and crisis support for mental health issues and like the LTACH, we partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. We are located downtown Dayton near the I-75 and I-35 junction, to the west of the Great Miami River.
