Kindred 6/24/2020

This was the third hospital my mother had been in. She said the light was answered within a moment. Nurses and techs were kind and compassionate. Even though visiting hours were limited it was a relief being able to visit during the coved restrictions as visiting helps keeps ones spirits up. I’d definitely recommend kindred to others and my mom was impressed. I rate the hospital a 10! Everyone we encountered was kind even when I had to be reminded that visiting time was up but the staff understood. My mom felt secure while at kindred. we thank everyone there. more

I rate kindred 10 out 10. Sincere was very effective and devoted to his work. Everyone I encountered here was effective in what they did. My call light was always answered timely and I’d definitely recommend kindred hospital to others. I have been here in the past and would come back again if needed. All staff was respectful. more

Exerience 6/2/2020

I was here for wounds. The wound care nurses were knowledgeable and were familiar with a physician whom I respect. The nursing staff took care of me and the aides. The food was better than most hospitals. Therapy was knowledgeable and worked with me but I would have liked to work in the beautiful gym on machine more than I did. My room was kept clean. more

My stay 5/27/2020

Dr Rubio was a great doctor. 99% of the staff was wonderful. I can’t recall names but I want to thank those clinical staff members that were wonderful. Many kind people work here. All the rooms are private as I was in several different ones. I was very sick and I’m now free of all the tubes I once had. I was able to be freed from ventilator and after time I’m able to speak. I will definitely recommend this hospital. more

My experience at kindred 4/30/2020

I’ve been here about one month or so and during that time I have nothing but positive experiences with the staff. Trudy went above and beyond for me quiet a few times, she is a nurse. Crystal, a nurse was comforting when I first arrived and took her time with me. Taylor, and other pcts would braid my hair and that was so nice of them. Nicole brought me a small Easter bag in which lifted my spirits. My call light is answered right away and respond quickly. The infectious disease doctor sat with me and explained many things to me that I had been in the dark about. It’s quiet at night. My room was clean. Dietary was great and asked if my meals were okay. It’s been wonderful here and if I had to come back I definitely would come back here. This has been a great experience. more

Hospital 4/14/2020

I have no complaints. Staff regularly check on me and ask if they can get me anything before they leave my room. It’s quiet so I can rest well. The doctors answer questions. All the staff here is friendly. My experience has been good and I will share that when I get well. more

Kindred 3/13/2020

The staff were professional with me. I really like the nurse practitioner, Allison. My wound healed a lot while I was here. I’d definitely recommend kindred and I really appreciated my dog being able to visit as this really helped me. The care here was good, the rooms are private and the beds are comfortable and appear new. more

Kindred 3/5/2020

I have been a patient at kindred in the past and have been here about two weeks. The staff, nurses and aides were all respectful and kind to me. Everything has just been great and I haven’t had any problems. I’d come back here again if I needed to. Therapy has worked with me to get me home soon. The food is okay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend this hospital. more

I have been here about a week and have excellent care,! The staff have been kind and have made me feel at ease. Everyone has been so nice. It makes for a much easier hospital stay when you receive excellent care and staff that is pleasant. more

Experience 2/18/2020

My mother’s stay at kindred was very good. It all started with the tour of the facility and being made to feel comfortable. Frequent discussions with case manager was very helpful throughout the process. We appreciated our first interaction with Dr. Richardson. He wanted to know more than what he had read. The entire care staff were kind and compassionate. This led to my father feeling at ease. We appreciate everything the kindred staff has done for mom during her stay. more

My stay 1/8/2020

Everything here was wonderful. Staff were pleasant and kind to me. When I needed something or needed help I was able to get help quickly. Therapy worked with me to get me up and sitting in a chair which was a big accomplishment. I was provided with activities to keep my mind busy. I’d choose kindred again if I was ill. Everything was tended to here. more

  • Our hospital does not offer emergency services. Kindred Hospital Dayton and Behavioral Health Unit is a 97-bed hospital. With 51 long-term acute care hospital beds, we offer the same in-depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. Our 46-bed behavioral health unit offers treatment for adults ages 18+, including dedicated services for geriatric patients. The unit offers 24-hour supervised psychiatric treatment and crisis support for mental health issues and like the LTACH, we partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. We are located downtown Dayton near the I-75 and I-35 junction, to the west of the Great Miami River.
