The first time I went to this facility was before hurricane Rita when it was still Triumph. But I still choose to go back there when I need long term acute care, because they teat me like family. Even my own family members go there when they need to. My cousin, my brother, and my mother in law and sister come here when they need medical care. We all have had good care here and feel its a good hospital to go to. The nurses are always courteous and explain things to me when they come in. They always remember me too. There is a big difference in care from this hospital to Clear Lake Hospital. Rehab here is excellent! They got me back on my feet and walking again. Truly, the unit secretary is one of my favorites. She is so good. She is nice and helpful and always smiling. She helps explain things to me and helps the nurses and CNA's when they are tied up with other patients. They have a patient advocate named Amanda that always checks on me. She is always working hard for the patients and running around making sure things are going good. She helped me get in touch with the right people when I had questions or concerns. We have become good friends over time. The nurses were always good too. If there was a problem they were very quick to resolve it. My Case Manager, Connie, helped me with a lot too. She helped find a place for me to discharge to and get my walker to take home. My Dr. Sahebkar was real good. She oversaw everything and she worked good with my Dr. Guidry for wound care. They got my wound healed. Dr. Wang, my heart doctor, was able to come see me here too. That was very convenient. The facility is very nice. Its big and clean and very accommodating. They are just like the regular hospital, except they don't have a morgue if someone passes, they don't have an operation rooms. If you are faced with the choice of where to go for extended care, you should try Kindred Clear Lake. I think you will have the same experience.
