Kindred Hospital Clear Lake

I stayed over three weeks at this facility and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The physical therapy has been wonderful. Wound care was also excellent. more

I have no complaint about my stay. I enjoyed working with dialysis at kindred. Sheila from dialysis made the process enjoyable. We would talk through it and she was always a good listener to my stories. The tech Sam was also a good employee. He was very helpful and was good about keeping me and my bed clean and straight. I liked that they have people come check on you during the week. Jeff and his partners would see me and ask questions about the care. That way they know straight from the patients what's going on all the time here. I was surprised how good the staff was that worked with me. more

I made a lot of good recovery and progress at this hospital. I'm moving on to the next place but I feel ready for it. I'd give them all 10 stars if I could. more

I went to the outpatient wound care clinic and I didn't have any bad experience. I was 100% satisfied with everything I had done at the clinic. The nurse Cassandra stands out to me because she always made sure I understood Dr. Memons orders and explained everything to me. The whole department did a great job with me. more

I want to thank everyone involved with my care. Before coming to Kindred I had a small blister that turned into a serious infection that took over most of the bottom of my foot. I was even preparing for amputation. When I got to Kindred they were able to take care of it and save it. The wound care team used a special treatment called a wound vac that kept moisture out and cleared the infection and bad tissues. They were friendly and you could tell the cared about me and knew exactly what they were doing. All the staff have been friendly. After about 3 weeks of treatment I got to go home. I recommend Kindred Clear Lake Hospital. more

I focused on my physical recovery here. I have to recommend Larry in rehab. If I had questions he would keep me informed and explain everything to me. He took time to let me know what I needed to do to get to the other rehab facility for more therapy before I go home. Then he let me know what to expect when I get there. Now I feel better about transferring. Larry is the best one in Rehab. more

This is a good hospital. All the nurses are nice and friendly and the food is okay too. I don't always expect that in a hospital but that's why I would recommend this one. more

I have hope again, that I can get some independence back. Now I know I can have some type of normal life again. When I first came to Kindred I could not walk and wasn't eating, because I couldn't keep anything down. After working with the rehab team I'm hungry all the time! Being more active has kept my appetite up and built my strength up and I can finally walk again. I never thought I would. It makes me happy to have hope again. I look forward to continuing my recovery. The case manager is trying to find a good facility that works with my insurance company for me to continue my rehab recovery. Initially when I came here I was scared, because I didnt know what to expect. I was missing home and worried about being in the hospital during the holidays. Now I'm okay. I'm even okay with staying a few extra days if it comes down to it. more

I found everyone at Kindred Clear Lake to be kind and helpful. My husband with dementia contacted sepsis and spent several weeks in Kindred. The doctors and nurses were great BUT I was also so impressed with everyone—housekeeping, dietary, kitchen, therapists, case manager, front desk, etc. who assisted me and my husband every day. The outpatient wound care clinic is excellent! Dr. Memon has been excellent. He helps me with my wounds and just about anything I need. The receptioninst Erica is very friendly and greets everybody by name. She sees me come into the lobby and she checks me in automatically. She really gets to know the patients. The outpatient wound care nurses run a busy clinic and help get me ready before the doctor walks in. Once my doctor takes a look and does what he needs to do, the nurses take over again and dress my wounds back up. The process goes very smooth. I've been with doctor Memon for years and I feel happy to have a doctor and wound care team like that. It's wonderful care. I've been to other hospitals and they didn't pay attention to the details like they do here at Kindred and my wounds opened all the way back up. Here at Kindred Dr. Memon with the help of the nurses they are working on closing it all back up. Tonya is very helpful. She does it all. If she is not at Kindred helping out, she follows the doctor to other locations. What more can you ask for! I recommend the outpatient wound care center to anyone. more

Absolutely you should go to Kindred Clear Lake. They do it all and they take good care of you 24/7. The nurses were professional and yet make you feel comfortable and at ease. The therapists were also really nice. I enjoyed our walks. They helped me relax and walk. I didn't even have to think about what we were doing. I dont know how you could make it any more perfect. They go out of their way to make you feel good. more

If you are looking for this kind of care I'd say go ahead and check in! They took care of all of my needs with no problem. The techs that assist the nurses stand out, because they are very efficient and helpful, Specifically Avante and Sam. Everyone of them did a fantastic job. When I first came to Kindred I couldn't do much by myself. After working with nursing and rehab I am walking more and eating more. I talked to the dietary chef, he listened to my suggestions and started using the spices I like and now the food is like a 5 star restaurant. Don't be so nervous when you are being admitted here. It's not hard at all. more

Kindred Clear Lake is great! Its a good hospital. Ive already told my whole family. I have been satisfied with this hospital because they keep things clean and the staff provide good care. If I had to go back to the hospital, I'd go here again. They are very polite and you can tell they care about people. Nurse Sharon has such a good since of humor and is very attentive and efficient. Avante the tech, I call him Angel Boy. He took care of everything and would tell the next shift how to take care of me. He would stop by to check on me even if he wasnt assigned. He is the hardest worker I have ever seen. He takes care of my needs on the spot, I dont have to wait. If I ask, he is there. Thats why I named him Angel Boy. He is very caring and smiles constantly. Angie in houskeeping is just flat wonderful. She makes sure my room is cleaned very well and she also stops by to check on me when she passes through the halls. She works hard and even if she is having a tough day, she stays friendly and talkative and works through it. She cleans everyting- railings, window sills, floors, every surface was cleaned. All the janitors are hard woking and keep this facility looking great. Workkin man Eddie was always here taking care of the floors. He keeps it shining non stop. I recommend this hospital to anybody and everybody. That is the truth! more

I highly recommend Kindred Clear Lake, especially for wound care. I had multiple problems with my wound, but Kindred managed my wound vac very well. They fixed the wound vac issues and kept the wound very clean with pulse lavage therapy. I progressed and healed rapidly. When I first arrived I was not strong enough to move around in bed or stand. After 3 weeks of medicine, good food, good care management and therapy I am able to stand up even walk! Every day I notice more progress which boosts my morale and keeps me motivated. I highly recommend Kindred Clear Lake more

I have been treated very nice. The staff have ensured my privacy and comfort and everybody is friendly. The nurses and aides have been very polite. If I wanted anything they are right here to do it. They are supportive. This is my second time here. I chose to come back because I was treated so well the first time I was here. It's clean and they are helpful, what more can you ask for. more

At Kindred Clear Lake they are nice, the hospital is beautiful, they take good care of the patients. Housekeeping is good and they keep the place nice and clean. The kitchen staff are always polite and put things where I want it. When I call for help, Belinda at the desk finds whoever I need to come help. There was a day that my blood pressure went up and I couldn't breath very good or move. I thank god that I was here when that happened. From 1-10 I rate the nurses emergency response at 100! They were on the ball to take care of me. I don't know what would have happened to me if I was anywhere else. My wound doctor would come see me all the time. He would tell me about the healing. I would recommend anybody to stay at kindred clear lake. more

I happened to notice a new face at the front desk. I was blown away when I saw Michelle working the reception area. She is such a compliment in this new role. As you enter the facility she is welcoming and provides a warm reception. Anytime that I call the desk from the room she has been very helpful. In the 7 years I've known her as a care giver here she has blossomed and become such an asset to this hosptital. I recommend Kindred if you need a hospital because of the service that you get. The services and dedication were great. They have a good rehab department. The housekeeping staff do a good job. If you drop something, before it hits the floor they are there to get it. The staff on 3rd floor were exceptional. more
