Reading the reviews, I was ready to tuck and roll away from this place. BUT, since it was so close to my home, I decided to head up. I was a first time gun buyer, a liberal, and quite frankly - ignorant of specifics of mechanics inside the guns. I knew only what i needed to be spending on a model that interested me - AFTER internet research and making a mistake or two along the way. Number one: their prices are AWESOME. Number two: I successfully returned a firearm to Gander Mountain - whom are essentially utter morons and WAY overpriced. I took the same money and upgraded to a great chase and optics, bipod, etc. for just about 100 dollars more than I would have spent on just a naked M&P 15 chase from Gander (went for nice Rock River 20 inch 5.56). Number three: they recognized I was liberal (birkenstocks) but I was legitimately interested in getting to know ""my"" weapon. Several staff members took the time to rehearse gun care, caliber and ammo information - down to the point of practicing tactical stepping and posturing, mounting the optics, and giving me tips on dialing in my gear. Dang! My wife was with me, and we decided on a nice 1943 Mosin for her. They did not make fun of us or turn away if we had questions - they were especially respectful to her and did not treat her any differently than they would have me. FURTHER, during my returning of the firearm, a representative of Jensen's referred me a competitor in Denver to price match my mistake at Gander. Quite frankly, these guys (and girls) are what you make of them - if you walk in with a dikhead attitude, that is what you get back. If you are honestly looking to understand any item in their inventory, let them know flat out you do not know what you are doing. I guarantee, even if you think you know EVERYTHING about a particular firearm, I can assure these guys have some things to add - this will only defeat your ego for a bit, but not everyone is ready to learn something new; most of these guys are Navy Seals, Special Ops, etc. The sniper in there is the sweetest guy imaginable - especially since he knows he can take you out from a mile. Picking up a Sig 226 tactical next month. Again, dam(n) fine staff if you just show some humility and respect. Jensen's Arms deserves the Front Range's business.
