I have gone to James Mark Salon for a couple of years and Hilary has always done a good job on my color, although it washed right out the first time she did it and I had to go back and have it done all over again. While she's done a good job on my color, she gives the worst cut. It seemed that she cut a piece here and there, instead of a thurough cut. The end result was an uneven choppy mess. I had to go somewhere else to have it fixed. So I continued to have Hilary do my color, and someone else do my cut. Yesterday, I went in to have a full color. I brought pictures and specified that I wanted a level 7 brown (medium). Since the stylist that' had been cutting my hair had moved, I figured I'd take my chances and let Hilary "trim" my hair and clean up my layers. How hard could that be? The end result was brown hair so dark, it was almost black at the ends and my original color (medium brown/red) is poking through all over, especially the roots. The cut was just as bad. It was over before it even began. Once again, she cut a piece here and there and was done. I had to aks Hilary if she was going to go through my hair and trim/even up my layers. She did a half ass job of that and in the end, I went home in shock and upset. I called the salon and asked to talk to Hilary. I was told that she had customers and that I most likely would not get a return call today. So I asked to talk to a manager and said that my hair needed to be fixed before the weekend is over and I have to return to work. The reception said she would call the manager and get back to me. Shortly after, Hilary called me, told me she was refunding my money because "she could not handle the stress of fixing my hair", that I would have to go elsewhere for my services, and that she has the right to refuse service. I was so shocked I could barely speak. I have never been treated so poorly. This girl ruined my hair, and then told me to go elsewhere to have it fixed ( on a Saturday at that!). TERRIBLE! A professional would be anxious to fix their mess and make their client happy, or at least try. So unprofessional and cruel. BEWARE OF THIS SALON!
