Dont ever visit this - Worst 7/28/2010

I'm an Indian. been to many Indian restaurants. But this is the WORST. Please dont come to a conclusion on Indian foods based on this restaurant. I have thrown away part of my 'To-go' food ... I really dont know why they have a tag 'Indian restaurant' Pros: Packing Cons: All others more

Don't Go to this Restaurant; HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! 2/8/2010

the food may be decent. but don't ever ever, ever CATER from this restaurant. They suck!!! Their customer service sucks. They sweet talk you and say they are honest people, and that they will give you enough food. But they didn't. I catered a party of 35 people. They gave me food for 23 people. We were embarrassed. WE had to call another restaurant and cater additional food for a dozen people immediately. Never cater from them. You have been warned. Worst experience. When I called the same day to talk to the owner/manager regarding this issue, 3 times the receptionist told me he'd call me back...he didn't!! When Sarwan (the owner/manager) did call back, he said it's our fault. He called us Liars, and that he wouldn't reimburse or compensate us in any way. Not even food compensation....very cheap!!! Worst customer service! Pros: decent food; ive had better Cons: customer service; dishonesty, fraud more

Great Lunch Buffett, very good and the cheapest in the South Bay 9/6/2008

My wife and I love Indian food and although we are not ethnically Indian and would appreciate a home cooked Indian meal, this lunch buffett is very good by South Bay standards. It is more flavorful, with more variety, at the lowest cost of any other place. Very courteous and attentive staff. Decent Chicken Tandoori. Would like to try this place for dinner to get a better appreciation of their culinary expertise. Pros: VERY GOOD FOOD, easy street parking, courteous and attentive staff, terrific value Cons: NONE more

Best Salon. Ever. 3/5/2008

In the last year, I have been into Borrelli Beverly Hills for a variety of services and I have never had anything but a fabulous experience. I have been into the Blowdry class (which I highly recommend if you want to get the seemingly magic results your stylist always achieves when you visit a salon) and I have now had my hair cut, colored and a 'wave' (read, perm with a new name) applied. Having the consultation for the wave was scary. I have long straight blonde hair and the idea of employing methods from the 80s to get some body, regardless of what you call it, was rather terrifying. My stylist (Steve Lococo, co-owner) promised me that it was all going to work out and I wouldn't leave looking like I had lit my hair on fire (the unfortunate result of my first, and only other perm, er, wave in 1989). He was completely, totally 100% correct and did such a great job. My hair came out looking ridiculously good. I have since visited Steve for color - which he gets 100 stars for - and I regularly have my hair cut at Borrelli, always leaving with the greatest looking hair I have ever had. Steve (and the two other stylists I have been to at Borrelli) listen and give you what you ask for. Kudos to Steve Lococo and all the stylists at Borrelli, they do an excellent job. Great place to sell your unwanted watches and jewelry and buy beautiful new stuff. 2/17/2008

I sold Mr. Gruenberg quite a large collection of watches. He paid me a very fair price and it was immediate. I needed the money and I felt like I was treated fairly and with a great amount of honesty. He also sells new watches, new and antique jewelry, and diamonds. more

Brilliant BlowDry 101 Class! 1/27/2008

I absolutely loved Borrelli's once a month BlowDry 101 Class! Such a creative way to learn how to perfect that salon style blow-out on my own. Their thorough step-by-step process taught me how to create that va va voom look at home. Would love to bring in some girlfriends for the next class! Great service! Friendly staff! Ideal Location! Overall, I had a fantastic experience! more

Absolutely awful. Unethical, unqualified stylist- Adam Lands. 11/9/2007

I have visited this salon twice. The first time I had a good blowdry. Because the stylist (Adam Lands)seemed nice, I asked him if he does color and if he thinks he can touch up my roots in a subsequent visit. I have long, blonde, highlighted hair, which is very hard to repair if done wrong. He said he specializes in color, and he reassured me that he was going to do a great job. We had an extensive consultation, in which I explained to him what I wanted and what I did not want. What I wanted were light, natural highlights using my natural color (a medium brown) as a base. What I absolutely did not want were brassy, orangy 'stripes'. Again, this was only for my roots. On the day of the appointment, while applying my highlights, he did not seem very familiar with the process. To make a long story short, it all came out reddish-brassy, super tacky and looking like I had done it myself or at a $5 salon. He ruined my hair. I doubt he had ever done blonde or much, if any, color before. I find it extremely unethical that they would let untrained, unspecialized people pose as experienced and practice on paying clients' heads. A horrible experience. Pros: Location Cons: Unqualified staff more

I hope this summer lasts 10/29/2006

Let's face it, if you ever went to India or let's say Italy, what they eat there is not the same food as what Americans want. This Indian restaurant is just that. It is the American version of what people think is Indiana and it is quite good. The lunch buffet gives you about 10 things to choose from and it tasted fresh. If you want good food and a decent price, then go here. more

Not good, nor authentic indian food 3/16/2006

I went for the lunch buffet - even though it's relatively cheap, there's minimal selection, and a disproportionate amount of fried foods...not authentic at all (i know, i'm indian, raised on home cooked indian food)...service was fair, but nothing spectacular. not recommended, if you want authentic food or even tasty food, for that matter. Pros: very cheap Cons: bad food more
