I surely have to agree with others who have left a review of Time Warner Cable in Cincinnati. Their customer service is non-existant! Whatever hapened to being able to speak with someone who can fix a problem, or better yet be able to actually talk to a live person? I have been having issues with my internet service and have received nothing but a run around from Time Warner. It all started last Friday, 1/2/09 with a flashing modem light, which I've become rather used to as it happens a couple times a week on the average. Usually unplugging the modem and plugging it back in solves the problem but didn't work this time. Well, after checking connections, trying to ping the server, and rebooting the computer, all to no avail I was left with the only option of calling customer service. After listening to my options from their anoying automated answering system and pushing the correct number to speak with someone who could help me with my problem I was connected to another automated system that walked me through doing all of the things I had previously attempted to restore my service, all of this with no way out until about after 20 minutes of answering yes/no to various tests, unplugging the modem and restarting my computer, the voice said that I had a problem (wow!)and I was connected to speak with a service technician. After spending about 10 minutes listening to an ad telling me how great Time Warner's service was... and telling me that I could also log on to Time Warners website, ( slow burn here) to find all the answers, I finally did get to speak to a live person. She tested the system and told me that it seemed like my modem was bad. I took it to the nearest service center, swapped it out and the new one does the same thing. After calling back, getting the same run around, I'm now waiting for a service tech, who I'm told is scheduled to be at my house on 1/8/09! 6 days and countless hours after I reported the problem. Satisfaction is a word TW doesn't understand!
Pros: They're the only option for internet other than dial up and they know it.
Cons: They're the only option for internet other than dial up and they know it.
