We needed to have the drains for our AC unit cleaned. My wife called Ice Age and they quoted her about $160. That sounded fair so we scheduled an appointment. The tech was early and we were notified by them that he would be early. At this point I was thinking, reasonable price, prompt response, and good communication. The tech arrived, I showed him to the unit and assisted him with tools & lighting. The problem was fixed within 1/2hr. Now the bill gets written up... $233.26 ! I asked, ""What happened to $160?"" The tech had no idea what I was talking about. We got his boss John on the phone, He said, ""Well we needed a coupler"". That's about a $2 part from Home Depot. My friend has an AC repair company, but he was away this weekend and couldn't help me on this particular day, so I knew what exactly had to be done and I also knew that I would pay more for it. I just didn't appreciate how John low balled us on the phone to get the job and then hit us with a higher bill. BOTTOM LINE... FIND SOMEONE ELSE. I know that it's only $73 but when quoted $160 that's a pretty significant % more than on the quote. Imagine if I was quoted $1,600 for job from these guys, would it become $2,300 ??? I feel that John from Ice Age was dishonest and I would never do business with them again. more

TOTALLY UNRELIABLE - Scheduled an appointment for a Friday at 10am - had to call them an hour later to find out if someone was still coming - Only to first be told they didnt have me in their computer...then found me, and had to call me back - 15 minutes later, call me back to say technician has cancelled all estimate appointments due to emergency situations (granted, it was very hot and humid that day so likely had a lot of service calls)...,but no one was going to bother to call me to re-schedule???!! Made the mistake of giving them the benefit of the doubt, and re-scheduled for the following Friday - After 40 minutes of waiting, the c/s person had to once again call me back after contacting technician - Today's excuse is that, due to rain, he wouldnt be able to come for another 2 hours...so almost 3 hours later than my already re-scheduled appt - I said No thanks, dont bother coming at all.....If this is any indication of how ""reliable"" they would be on any installation or repair call, I will pass - WASTE OF TIME more

Ice Age Air Conditioning offers same day estimates. They were fast and reliable and proposed competitive pricing. They are honest and did a great job and fixed my problem right away. I would use their services again and highly recommend them. more

My ac was acting up the other week and I was having a real struggle with it not wanting to work, being very unexperienced with how ac's work I knew I needed help! A friend of mine recommended calling Ice Age, I'm so happy I did, the same day I called they had a service tech out to check on it, they had it repaired in no time, and it didn't cost me a lot either! The service tech was really nice and informative, I'm so happy that I called Ice Age, they are a very reliable HVAC company. My ac is running smoothly now. Thank you! more

I scheduled an appointment online and got a confirmation saying a tech would be out at 8:30am Fri. By 9:00 no one showed up and when I called I was told by a woman named Julia that she did not see an appt for me in their system. I told her I went online to schedule it and she said she would call a tech and call me back. When she called back she said a tech would be at my condo within 20 minutes. After an hour, I called back and she said she was confused because the tech told her he was here and had told her what the problem was. Apparently, she gave him the wrong address. Needless to say, when she asked if I wanted to reschedule, I told her I would go with a reliable company!!!!!! more

During extra hot memorial day weekend , my air conditioning was running pretty much non-stop. One evening, I hear water running only to find that water was dripping from my ceiling around a light. The air conditioning (which is housed in the attic) condensation was overflowing. I called Ice Age at 7:00am in the morning. They were at my house by 11am and John was outstanding. He identified the drainage problem with the primary overflow and a major issue with the secondary. Neither very difficult to fix (except he had to be working in the attic in 95 degree temperatures). They were quick to get here (same day). The price was extremely reasonable. And their approach, candor, and self-help suggestions made me feel they were really trustworthy. I recommend them without hesitation more

I called for AC repair after finding their website online. They made an appointment for 6 and said they would call 20 min prior to tech arriving to confirm which they did. It was all downhill from there. At 7 I called them because tech hadn't arrived yet. they said he was stuck in traffic and then later called back to cancel, saying they would be there at 8:30 to 9 next morning. At 10:30 next morning I called to see what's going on since I waited around all morning for them. They operator said she would verify and call back. An hour later she called back to inform me that tech would be arriving in an hour, 4 hours later than what was scheduled. I cacelled. I can't really evaluate their service because I got tired of being jerked around. For a company that advertises 24/7 service with glowing testimonials on their website, their service was downright awful. more

My wife and I were very pleased with our recent experience with Ice Age. The salesman who came out was very knowledgeable and spoke to us in terms we could understand. He did not try to haggle with us or sell us something we really did not need. The installation crew was extremely courteous and they finished when they said they would. I cannot see any reason why someone would give them a bad review. They were not the cheapest company we looked at, but you obviously get what you pay for.? more
