Less tahn 2 months after I fell for admirals cold call "service check up" scam my compressor went out, they wanted $3000 to rebuild it or 5600$ fo a new one, when I said I would like a second opinion the 89$ service call jumped to over 200$ "for what?" I exclaimed "well we had to add on an hourley rate" " You havent been heere 15 minutes!" I excalimed which suddenly got theprice down to 175$ I will be reported them to the BBB more

Called Admiral Air for a check on my 4 year old AC. After the inspection, I ended up with a 4 foot long leak in my ceiling where they disconnected the drainage pipe. After reconnecting the pipe, the leak continued for the next 5 hours damaging the sheetrock. They sent out a tech the next day to repair a cracked pipe which was not the cause of the leak. The next day I noticed the downstairs AC was not running. Had my husband check the unit, which they left off. Why would you leave the unit off in the attic unless they are truely incompetent or want you to call them back to figure out why it's not coming on? Either way, they still charged me the $85 check up, damaged my property, and will not return any of my 10 calls for getting their supposed subcontractor out to repair the damage. This company has questionable intentions and is not willing to make things right! more

Report their cold calls on the FCC website. Put the crooks out of business. more

hey they are cold calling all of houston because there old customers got ripped off, they messed alot of people over. so now they are hunting for new people to bait and switch. a frined of mine worked there like a week and ran...hey they get lotso cancels because yes people fall for the phone sales pitch but then they check Admaral on the internet and yowza they cancel when they see all this! more

They only have like 4 trucks or 5 or some small fleet like that and all there techs quit, they treat their own workers bad and also you as a custmer will surely be duped. They tell their people to lie, straight and simple.The only good reviews on these posts are put up by family or friends as Admiral is known as crooks. They keep going somehow by finding new people until those people checkum up on the internet than I am sure they will cacel out on any appt. they set. more

I used them to do a simple maintenance check and while they did find something wrong, before you knew it I was pressured to not just decide whether to repair it ($1800) or replace it ($3800!) on the spot but also that they actual came and did the work the same day! What I thought would be a 2 hour lunch checkup turned into an all day affair with me missing work and almost buying into it. They pressure you also by saying whatever you paid for the maintenance inspection will be applied to any work they do ... if you pay them the same day and install/repair it the same day. I called a friend to ask if this price seemed right and he said that anyone who pressures you like that and demands a same day decision is not practicing good business. It's true, the main guy was likeable, knowledgeable (I think) and polite...but I agree with the other reviewer. They will politely rip you off if you let them. Call around to get quotes before you get work done FOR SURE and don't be like me to get pressured into making thousands of dollars in repairs without having the opportunity to do your homework first. more

Of course you are going to write a at-a-boy since you are the son of the owner, whom if I were you I would change my last name. You know in your heart that there are alot of under lying problems between the customers satisfaction and that company. A little bit of advise, don't lie for yourself or anyone else, its a SIN. I would even waste my time or money on this company, the only reason I gave it a rating because the site made me, really I would rate this company -7 more

We had these guys come by to fix our A/C 07/30/09. The first repairman tells us it is a switch. The second charged us 379.00 for a $30.00 relay. They left and 1 hour later the A/C stopped working. They had to come back and reconnect a wire. more

Good: Fast response - professional appearance and handling on the phone.. Bad: Massive overcharging and exaggeration of issues - pushing new units for $8000 USD or a $1000 repair when the parts cost $50 and another AC company resolved for a TOTAL of $85.. Improvements: Become honest - no issues making a fair profit but Admiral are way beyond that.. Other: They wanted $1000 dollars too replace a capacitor that they installed last year (low cost cheap version made in China) and a contractor that cost $25 from Grainger electrical and a USA made capacitor for about the same. And they charged $100 for a visit and did no actual work except try to convince me I needed to replace the inside and outside unit for $8000. more

Don't be fooled by positive reviews written by family members. Admiral is known for dishonesty. Check it out yourself on the BBB website. Rated "F". more

Admiral is rated "F" by the Better Business Bureau. They ripped me off once, and tried to do it again. Tried to charge me $1800 labor (I had warranty on parts) to put in a new compressor. That's labor!! You can get a brand new A/C installed for that. They are all smiles and handshakes when they are talking to you, but they have almost 70 complaints through the BBB. Check it out yourself. Admiral has the worst reputation in the Houston area. Don't be fooled by good reviews written by family members. Check it out yourself. more

I accepted a cold call for routine check up and completely regret it. Just do a little online searching and read for yourself. In addition to online complaints when I called three local ac companys they all had heard of Admiral and the complaints against Admiral. Wish I could turn back the clock and tell the nice woman on the phone "no thanks" it would have saved me the $1600 and the headaches. more

They have always been prompt and friendly,no extra charges for nights and weekend repairs. If your AC is under warranty they will file the paperwork for you.Otherwise the prices are very reasonable. They answered all my questions and were very knowledgeable,honest and professional. I recommend this company for great service. They have never let us down. Give them a call. more
