Honorable Mathew Harter

Are you kidding me?? This guy is the most corrupt one on the bench!!! He doesn't give two craps about breaking families apart and keeping kids from one parent or the other!! He wasn't even a family law attorney before becoming a judge. He was a criminal defense attorney! That should say it all right there. Let me also be clear on that he doesn't even live in town and only shows his face in the court room maybe 2 to 3 times a week. My boyfriend has had to deal with this creep throughout his divorce and custody battle with his kid. He instructs you to go through the ""proper steps"" to accomplish things, you do it, then he DENIES it!!! He does not give citizens their right to an evidentiary hearing, all because he's too lazy to do his job properly, and work a full week at his job. Because of this, we are in process of going through Supreme Court. He does nothing for the ""best interest of the child."" If you get this guy....consider yourself screwed! Please....do like us, write to the senate, governor, news....anyone that will listen and get the word out on this guy. If nobody says anything....nothing will ever be done about this and he will continue to ruin peoples live and most importantly....the lives of their innocent children that need both parents! more

Judge Harter is an AMAZING Judge. If you are truly doing right by your child he will do right by you. Yes, he does terminate parental rights, when it is in the BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILD!! If you do not show up to the ""prove-up"" hearing or do not contest, then yeah, your parental rights will be terminated, without an evidentiray hearing. He cannot terminate outside of the law. READ THE LAWS!!! YOU, as the parent, must know what you are doing, regardless of whether or not you have an attorney. He treated me with respect and was extremely nice to both me and my child. more

I recently had a status check with Matthew Harter regarding a very bad report from our Parenting Coordinator stating the mother has abducted the child, violates every order, and does not comply with PC directive, well common sense says that the person who does wrong gets punished, not according to Matthew Harter, he decided to punish the victim by forcing him to pay 100% of the PC service! DON'T RE-ELECT THIS JUDGE more

Everyone please!! If you have had any experience with Judge Harter Dept. N you know what I'm talking about! He is terrible, exceptionally rude, doesn't care about the best interest of the children and I agree 100% with what llegal2000 said! Read the reviews people! more
