I seem to find myself rating businesses on Yelp only when I have had an exceptional experience... Nevertheless, Honda of Santa Monica truly delivered today - I found myself surprised at the ease of our transaction.
I am a Honda girl, having purchased three Hondas of five cars within the last 10 years. So, my mother in law wanted some help when she decided to purchase a 2010 Honda Insight. I spent several hours researching her vehicle, gathering price quotes, checking availability based on color, looking at true market value information and the list goes on and on. I feel like I owe my first-born to several of the sales people I dealt with. Only that would actually be a form of punishment, ha ha. I digress.
We arrived, we talked numbers (which stayed the same as the original ones quoted), we declined extra options, we signed paperwork, and we left about 2 1/2 hours later. Not bad for a car-buying experience. A little pressure to buy into extra options, warranties, etc etc but the pressure was relatively easily deflected.
We dealt with Michael (sales person) and Tyron (internet sales manager) and also Glen (sales manager). I was impressed when Glen came up and introduced himself and mentioned my track record as a Honda customer in their service department - he thanked me for my business/loyalty. Unheard of.
Anyway, I am now not only a Honda of Santa Monica service fan (I have almost exclusively dealt with Ron, who I think is great, despite previous reviews) but I am now also a fan of their sales team as well. Kudos to Honda of Santa Monica! :)
