Worst

Quite expensive, and service is a bit slow, even though it has not been that busy in this economy.... maybe they layed off too many people and service also suffered?

Great Customer Service 8/9/2011

As a woman I have often heard to be wary of car service shops- especially at dealerships. However, my numerous experiences at El Cerrito Honda has proven all the nay-sayers wrong. Not only are the service representatives helpful nad knowledgeable about their products nad services, but they are also patient! Today I had the opportunity to check in with Leo again and he not only helped expleain what was wrong with my Accord, but also took the time to make sure that I understood the costs and problems that I would have to deal with if I didn't take care of a couple of existing minor issues that have been on my car's record since my last visit. Despite my numerous questions and worries, Leo took the time to be patient and understanding. He listened to my concerns and kept me updated all day on the findings and costs of my car's maintenance. Although I live closer to other Honda dealerships, service like this is why I continue to return to El Cerrito Honda. more

Very reliable and trusty crew of Honda 8/9/2011

I got my 2009 Honda fit from Honda of El Cerrito. Not just their management is helpful and knowledgeable but even their service department are excellent. In my opinion they deserve more than five stars. Keep up your good work. Forgot to mention that they even have good sales personals. They are very helpful and gives a lot of alternatives of how to fix the parts. Thumbs up to Honda of El Cerrito.. more

I got my 2009 Honda fit from Honda of El Cerrito. Not just their management is helpful and knowledgeable but even their service department are excellent. In my opinion they deserve more than five stars. Keep up your good work. Forgot to mention that they even have good sales personals. Fast and Honest Service 8/9/2011

I went to get my radio fixed and found that it was not under warranty.Although they couldn't fix it there service provider (mr.santiago)gave me all my other options and gave me great deals on other services, which was good because any time you go to specialized mechanics your sure to pay an arm and a leg, but not here. I can now go and buy a replacement radio with the money i saved. also while waiting for the service to be done they offer coffee and free internet access, which i'm using now :) more

Reliable, Friendly and Qualified 7/30/2011

When I bought this car 10 years ago I promised myself that instead of doing the shade tree mechanic thing I would only let Honda perform the maintenance. I knew it would be more expensive but my reasoning was that if I actually maintained the car using the suggested schedule and only had QUALIFIED mechanics doing the work, maybe the car would last me a few years longer. I've had the car for 10 years and have 170,000 miles on it and as long as my big rear end doesn't wear put the driver's seat then I should still get a few more years out of it. Knowing full well that hiring qualified mechanics is going to cost me more than the fly by night guy down the street, I still bring my Odyssey in for maintenance and even repairs. Their work is first rate and the personnel couldn't be any better. Most of the service advisors know my name and work with me to get me the deals we all need (don't we all need some help every chance we can get?). They're super friendly--even the ones that don't know me yet. You get what you pay for and I'm paying for the best. more

Great place for good quality cars 6/18/2009

Great people, great cars. I looked at their used inventory and the vehicles are fantastic. Very clean cars that look almost new. Staff is great, always attentice to any concerns, and they try hard to earn your satisfaction in every reasonable way they possibly can. They are also very funny- rare to find humor in a dealership. Bought my vehicle from them and am extremely satisfied. If you want a good car buying experience, AND a great, reliable car, go to Honda of El Cerrito. Pros: Convenient location near Highway exit, Extra clean cars Cons: can't think of any, had a fantastic experience. more
