Honda Of El Cerrito

Honda of El Cerrito is the only place I will service my car and buy a new car. Their service people are excellent, especially Paul Forte, who is the one who usually takes care of me. He goes all out to give good service. Had to take my other car in today to Honda. Once again, the service was excellent!! Twice in the same month and two times the excellent service. more

I love the fact that your El Cerrito Honda technician goes beyond their normal duty to thorough check tire pressure, battery, and wheel axels and report the conditions while performing oil change. I phoned and made an appt with service man, Mel Santiago, for this morning. I arrived about 60 mins earlier than the appt. but, Mel took care of my car without hesitation...and with his usual smile. I often seek out Ron Maio, Michelle Fisher, or Mel Santiago when I schedule service. All three are so efficitne, pleasant people to work with. I needed to have the recent recall notice remedied today on my 2007 Honda Accord. I also wanted to have an oil change as it had been several months since last done, and I had not driven very many miles. One of the mechanics working on my car found I needed the oil filter changed at my next service appt. As I had more than enough time to spare today...I asked if they could do it today...and yes, it was replaced without waiting much longer. Mel exlained in detail the reason for the recall, the reason I should keep up with oil changes, even if it isn't down to the 15% level. He also figured out approx when my next service appt should be expected...and it should be a minor service appt. I apprecitated all the information as well as the individual attention received today. I was able to meet the fairly new service manager, Burt Gallegus, today. Also a very pleasant man. He was most interested in knowing how long I had been a customer of Honda of El Cerrito....since Oct. 1995, I replied. We discussed the personable and efficient service I always receive with both of my Hondas. I also commented on the savings I have appreciated having purchased a Maintenance-Service agreement. I have never had so much as a 'look see' by anyone other than the mechanics at Honda of El Cerrito! I would not go anywhere else for my car needs. Always 100% satisfied!! more

He also gave me discounts on the parts and labor. more

I purchased my Honda from a dealership other than El Cerrito, so i felt a little strange taking it to them for servicing since that is not where I got it from. On my first visit i knew I had nothing to feel strange about, they treated me as if I had made my purchase with them. My service representative Leo/Ed has always been so helpful, and will go out of his way to help with scheduling an appt for my car and sends a follow up email to make sure that things are running smoothly The shuttle driver always wants to hear jokes from his passengers so be prepared, he is really friendly and talkative. Even when I am checking out and making my payment, the cashier is always smiling and friendly. more

As a woman I have often heard to be wary of car service shops- especially at dealerships. However, my numerous experiences at El Cerrito Honda has proven all the nay-sayers wrong. Not only are the service representatives helpful nad knowledgeable about their products nad services, but they are also patient! Today I had the opportunity to check in with Leo again and he not only helped expleain what was wrong with my Accord, but also took the time to make sure that I understood the costs and problems that I would have to deal with if I didn't take care of a couple of existing minor issues that have been on my car's record since my last visit. Despite my numerous questions and worries, Leo took the time to be patient and understanding. He listened to my concerns and kept me updated all day on the findings and costs of my car's maintenance. Although I live closer to other Honda dealerships, service like this is why I continue to return to El Cerrito Honda. more
