I phoned and made an appt with service man, Mel Santiago, for this morning. I arrived about 60 mins earlier than the appt. but, Mel took care of my car without hesitation...and with his usual smile. I often seek out Ron Maio, Michelle Fisher, or Mel Santiago when I schedule service. All three are so efficitne, pleasant people to work with. I needed to have the recent recall notice remedied today on my 2007 Honda Accord. I also wanted to have an oil change as it had been several months since last done, and I had not driven very many miles. One of the mechanics working on my car found I needed the oil filter changed at my next service appt. As I had more than enough time to spare today...I asked if they could do it today...and yes, it was replaced without waiting much longer. Mel exlained in detail the reason for the recall, the reason I should keep up with oil changes, even if it isn't down to the 15% level. He also figured out approx when my next service appt should be expected...and it should be a minor service appt. I apprecitated all the information as well as the individual attention received today. I was able to meet the fairly new service manager, Burt Gallegus, today. Also a very pleasant man. He was most interested in knowing how long I had been a customer of Honda of El Cerrito....since Oct. 1995, I replied. We discussed the personable and efficient service I always receive with both of my Hondas. I also commented on the savings I have appreciated having purchased a Maintenance-Service agreement. I have never had so much as a 'look see' by anyone other than the mechanics at Honda of El Cerrito! I would not go anywhere else for my car needs. Always 100% satisfied!!
