Let me begin by saying, I travel a lot with my job, so I have lots of experiences with hotels, but I can honestly say I have never been treated so rudely as I did here. I recently stayed at this hotel for my best friends wedding. I had my wedding here in 2008 and her sister had her wedding here in 2009. My experiences both times were positive; however, this time proved to be a much different experience. After coming back from the rehearsal dinner the bride, the other bridesmaids and I went up to her bridal suite where I presented her with a scrapbook. Side note: There was a baseball tournament, prom, and other weddings that weekend. There was a party going on in a room down the hall, and some of the guests had complained throughout the night. As we all sat down in the suite and started looking at the scrapbook, security guard knocked on the door and when we opened it he pushed it all the way open and told everyone they have to get out of this room and that they are evicting the people that are staying in the room, including the Bride. I am sure we may have been loud walking into the room but the complaints they received all night were not from the 5 minutes we were in the room. At this point, we decided to go down to the lobby to talk about logistics for the following day. We still had complaints coming in for our room, but we were not in there. About 1 am we headed to the room, where we were washing our faces getting ready for bed, again another complaint call. Needless to say we called it a night. Night 2: My husband and I decided to get a room for the night of the wedding. We were hanging out in the pub downstairs, when I got tired and ready to go to our room. My husband walked me up, when we got there; security was coming out of our room stating we had the music too loud in our room. As a surprise my husband went upstairs while I was not looking and made a romantic gesture by putting out some roses and some soft jazz music on. There were about 10 people in the hallway 2 doors down with music blaring and having a very large party between two rooms. My husband went down to complain to the manager. The night manager said my husband was being aggressive and called the police on him. We decided to leave the hotel at this point. I saw the bride on the way out, and she asked why we were leaving, I told her because we were getting blamed for other people?s noise again. She started crying, and then when they went to their room, they had to deal with the same crap. What an awful experience for a Bride to go through on her wedding weekend and wedding night. This experience has put a bad taste in my mouth for this hotel and hotel chain, so much so that I do not plan on giving them any more of my business. Do not waste your time or money staying here, when there are many more hotel options in the area. If you do, be forewarned of what you might end up dealing with. more

My Husband and I stayed here the night of our wedding. We were told we would have something special waiting for us in our room when we got there and then breakfast the next morning. When we got there the woman at the desk decided she wanted to put us in a better room than we were booked for and said she saw we had items waiting for us in our room....which I thought meant she would have them moved. Well we get to our room and we are now over looking the roof! Oh but our upgrade was the uncomfortable couch/sofabed and our strawberries and champagne were no where to be found in our room. We were both too exhausted to really care or say anything. Then that morning we get downstairs around 9:00 to get our breakfast which was included in the price we paid for the room. Breakfast was already closed down because they had a mothers luncheon but no one let us know this the night before! I complained to the front desk and she said she would have the kitchen call our room and we could order room service. We waited 15 min and still no call. I called the front desk and she said she would have someone call. 15 min later still no one called. I called the front desk again and she decided to take our order and take it to the kitchen and she said we would not be billed for the breakfast. By the time our breakfast finally got to our room, we had to stuff our faces because our limo was going to be there in 15 min. This was the worst morning after your wedding you could imagine. Then about a month later my husband looks at our credit card and they charged us for the breakfast! Don't stay at this hotel for a special occasion what ever you do....they will only ruin it! more

I suggest that readers ignore the negative reviews prior to 2009. Following a management change and assumption of the Hilton banner, the hotel had major facility renovations as well as upgrades to furnishings and bedding in all guest rooms during late 2008 thru late 2009. more

The restaurant offers a wonderful Sunday brunch buffet that offers anything you can think of. The prices are low, so taking a large group is never a problem. more

The center is well suited to help you with your event. I have been lucky enough to plan Christmas parties and small events here I have attended large and small conferences here and it is the charm and atmosphere that have me coming back. Located right on the golf course, you won't be able to find a better looking spot. They have all the conveniences of a resort, great restaurant with old world style bar area, the hotel rooms are very professional and southern flair. This facility will leave you wanting to come back. more

October, 2007 --They ruined my daughter's wedding reception, embarassed the guests, were rude and the wedding supervisor never showed up. No seating as we had contracted for, no table for bride and groom, and no bridal party table. They took the remaining wedding cake and kept it and then lied about it. No white gloved waiters, no candles on mirrors on all the tables, etc, etc etc. Need more space to tell all. The GM refused to listen to anything the next day. Seemed unable to focus on anything and unable to say I'm sorry. Did not care. OH__wedding specialist they promised would be there never showed up. The one we had originally contracted with had quit and no one contacted us. We found out 3 days before the event nad had to redo everything only to have nothing done on the day of the wedding. more

My sister got married out on the golf course on a spring afternoon. It was beautiful! The facilities are amazing. The grounds are well kept. We had an amazing time and I would recommend to anyone getting married here. more

Impressed with drive up to hotel and lobby. Probably a great conference center. Was supposed to have golf view room, but did not and staff basically told me to deal with it. Still got charged the premium for golf view room. Two weddings going on, and hallway outside of room was EXTREMELY loud all night long. Rooms are small, dated, and not very comfortable. Ordered S&P pizza from room service which arrived with cut-up BREAKFAST link sausage on it. Ick. Cool pub downstairs, but they were slammed with post- wedding reception revelers, and 3 bar staff were overwhelmed. Waited 25 minutes for someone to acknowledge my presence. I tried on four different occasions to get a room here, and was disappointed when I finally did. Pros: Driveway, lobby, pub Cons: Staff (except for room service guy), rooms (small/dated/uncomfortable), noise level more

We had a block of rooms reserved for friends and family coming to our wedding from out of town. We had nothing but problems. Reservations were messed up. We paid to have them put gift bags in everyones room which were never delivered. We had a hospitality room which was suppose to be comped and we were charged for it. The staff was rude and unwilling to work with us to solve the many problems. more

Being Danish and only visiting Atlanta a few times a year on business, this hotel has proven a safe bet every time. Its colonial looks and historical location only adds to the superb, very personal, service, dining and overall exeptionel quality.
