Get second opinion!\r 5-9-13 Hiller came out to preform AC and plumbing maintenance. There were no issues before they came, but major issues a few days later.\r 5-9-13 Steven with Hiller came to my residence to perform the summer maintenance on AC unit. There were no issues and had used AC prior to service. Steven stated I has major issues and that I would experience freezing up and that several things needed to be replaced:Dual Cap $197.00, Sig Cap $ 128.00, leak search $39.00 equipment coil $1700 + $2200.00. Since I was having no issues I told him no thank you. He had also stated that I should change from gas heat to electric and for the size of my home I have to small of a unit and I needed two units. I have never had an issue and have been the original owner.\r A few days later I did in fact have freezing of the unit. I called One Hour heating and air conditioning that came out 5/15/13. I have pictures to prove that a cleaning of the unit was never done. Also the unit was Freon short. They put in the two pounds and did a leak check. They returned on 5/17 to find a screw a little loose and tightened it. No leaks were found in the system, I have had no issues since. Contacted Hiller 5/17/13 and requested manager/supervisor receptionist pressured for information and I finally gave the story. She stated that she had to look up my information and she said we went out for AC freezing up…UM NO! you came out to do maintenance it was having no issues at all UNTIL you left! Now it is freezing up.\r I believe Steven maliciously let Freon out of my system and did not clean it. Furthermore I believe that his statements were misleading in an attempt to scare me into spending money that did not need to be spent. I was assured by One Hour that my system is large enough to cool my house and as it has in the past years it is cooling so you can hang meat in my upstairs..... Filed BBB complaint.\r more

Bill was the technician that was sent last week to replace our PRV. Bill was very professional and took the time to educate us about the issues we were having with our hot water heater, what function the PRV served and some other concerns about our hot water heater that he uncovered. What you should know about Hiller is.. It's all about how much $$ they can get out of you . I called with a 5 yr old unit out house up to 89' and a newborn and they told me no. I later called back and said my unit was 11ys old, guess what I was the next call. How can a company operate like that? So pretty much they wanted to come and sell me a new unit.. They are salesmen. Happy Hiller club--- a way for them to come in and tune up or mess up and then have suggestions on how to fix what they messed up. Called after hours # in an emergeny. Lady told us she could send someone out at 6:00 AM, but then noticed we had them give us a quote to replace air unit 3 years ago. She asked if we still had that unit and we told her we had replaced it. She had the nerve to ask why we didn't choose them. we told her we got is much cheaper from someone else. she then asked ""what are you on a fixed income or something?"" HOW RUDE. THAT WAS NONE OF HER BUSINESS. So then she told it would be 4:00 PM. Wow - just because we ddidn't choose them - it went from 6:00AM to 4:00PM....WON'T CALL THEM AGIAN. more

Only Wanted My Money 3/13/2012

Called company to check air flow of my AC / was not cooling or heating properly. Was told my duct work was not properly installed and wanted to sell me a new AC system and replace all duct work. Cost of $12,000. Attempted to explain that the system was only 3 years old and had no problems in the past. Would not even go into crawlspace to check duct work / insisting that was not the problem. A different tech responded about 2 weeks later (after insisting they check the ducts) and actually crawled under the house and located several holes in the flex duct. He was attempting to explain that the cost would be approx $600 and his supervisor kept calling over the radio that he needed to check back in service / that he had spent too much time on my job. Tech promised he would explain to his supervisor what was actually needed to fix my problem and set up a date / time to repair duct. That was 2 years ago and no phone call. Contacted a small company and they fixed the problem for $480. more

I needed my AC serviced this year so I contacted Hiller in Clarksville, TN. Not only was the technician courteous, but he was very knowledgeable and didn't hesitate to answer any of my questions. They were able to come out on the day I had available and even showed up at the very beginning of the 2 hour time block they say they will be at your house. Their customer service is awesome, too. more

Hiller Plumbing & Heating Very Dishonest!!! 2/8/2011

I really hate that I had to even click one star to write this review. Hiller service techs lied and told us our evaporator coil had a leak. Told us the outside unit was not leaking. Recharged our unit and charged us $300 only after giving up on selling us a new unit or their expensive service plans. Said the slow leak in the evaporator coil would not be a problem anytime soon. We had two techs to visit our house and one sales rep. Had to call another company and called Chancy Reynolds and in 30 seconds they found the leak outside our house. My hope is that our compressor isn't ruined now. Hiller Plumbing and Air, shame on you folks. So much for honesty and integrity. Our electric bill last month was over 500. and it is your fault. You should have been honest and not try to do our 9 year old unit in so we would have to buy another. So untrustworthy! Someone suggested they should change their company slogan to, "How Can We Cheat You Today?" Very far from outstanding service. They rip off more


Not a good experience 10/15/2010

1. You get a different plumber every time.\r 2. We purchased a water heater from them and a 2 years later it quits working. I had to prove they installed the water heater, even though they presumably had records to show they install it. Finally, after confronting them with the invoice they fixed it.\r 3. Another 2 years and the water heater fails again. This time, after lost faith in Hiller we hired another plumber. He found that the 2 thermostats in the water heater were set to 2 different values. According to the new plumber that will lead to the thermostats death. \r 4. Hiller is always trying to upsell on something.\r \r We will not use them again. more

high pressure sales, called for SERVICE so dont send a salesman disguised as a technician...these guys are under pressure to meet a certain $ amount at every call..how do you think they accomplish this ? thats right they have to SELL you something.. call elsewhere...the MANAGEMANT here are the ones that should be drug tested!!!!!!!!!!! more

DID NOT TELL OF CHARGES 9/18/2010

I had a really bad experience. I talked with the receptionist exp'd my problem. I specifically exp'd I wanted the tech. to call me b/f doing anything. While he did call after he did a service I DID NOT give him permission to do. The cost was an extra $165.00 which they insisted had to be paid. I was very upset b/c they justified it by saying there was a broke down in communication with the tech and the receptionist. That's just bad business practice. I tried them b/c Dave Ramsey said they were good. That was not my experience. more

I can not say enough about the technician Hiller sent to my home. He was professional, friendly, and most important of all, worked on my problem until it was completely fixed. I believe that this was no small feet, because it was not evident what was causing my drain stoppage and where the problem originated. He found it, and he fixed it. When you live in a home that was built in 1968, you can imagine the need for a plumbing company they you can trust to do the right job the first time. I know I have found my answer with Hiller . I am hopeful that I will not need any services in the near future, but if I do, at least I know to call Hiller. I also appreciate the coupons they left for me to use. more

This is the worst company I have ever had the displeasure to call. 1st visit service tech left me with a fire trap ( water running on hot wires)\r 2nd visit My 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. appt. did not happen\r it is now 7:03 pm these guys are still in my house and the work is still not complete. wretched I tell you. DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE,THEY DO NOT KEEP APPT TIMES TWICE,THEY DO SUB STANDARD WORK. ON THE UP SIDE THEY WERE\r POLITE.
