I've lived here for over 3 years now and cannot say I've experienced any of what was written here. I've always found Karla to be very friendly and fair. I've never had a Maintenance need so maybe there is something to be said about the people that continuously need repairs in their unit? As far as Late Fees, there should be no surprise if you read your Lease or as questions before you move in. One thing to remember in life is that you can never choose your neighbors. GHETTO!! Steer clear of this place!! The property is built on an old burial ground and maybe why so much unrest is prevalent. Cops should just keep a couple cars on site daily, it's that bad! Very shady characters are seen walking through all the time, and I've seen drug deals in broad day light there!!!!! Karla, the property manager, is one nasty and vulgar lady! Why she is managing is beyond me. Management in general is terrible- not helpful, rude, return calls are very late, they charge $50 late fee after the 5th and another $50 if unpaid by the 10th!! Can we say scam anyone??? Rent is way over priced as it is. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen! Maintenance is a HUGE joke (which are her kids, and I doubt they have knowledge or training in the trade). I learned how to fix and repair things on my own because they wouldn't fix it or do it right. Their ideas are slapping band aides on rather than getting to the root of the issue. It's very noisy, kids screaming and playing in the parking lot, car stereo systems blasting at 2 a.m., walls are paper thin, I can go on and on. Turn over is insane. New neighbors coming and then quickly leaving. more

Hidden ponds is a stepping stone it's a place you settle for while you work on other factors. It is 2011 and it is very accurate that Karla the Manager is extremely Rude and maintenance is a joke. I have referred 3ppl and =everyone of them have been turned off by her presentation. she's nice and bend the rules then two days later she using vulger language on the phone when her staff fail at their duties. she is spiteful and possibly bi-polor. she had made several errors in rent calculations kids are always playing in the parking lot the overturn of tenants is ridiculous ambulanc police are a constant. those are the things you can avoid, my experience with Karla is the sole reason for me blowing this popsicle stand whom ever rates this even one star is probably her under an alias. I have avoided her at all cost any chance I get because I knew I had a goal and she would interfere there are rumors about her and tenants having relations she's never in the office during said hours does not respond to ur correspondence if something lacks on her part. RUN RUN RUN.i HAVE SEEN A UHAUL AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH i have to give it a star just to publish more

We've lived here about a year and its been a horrible experience solely because of the property manager. The neighbors and the actual units are fine but a bit overpriced. Cops are in the parking lot several times a week, and the property manager is very rude if she feels inconvienenced, which is basically whenever she has to do anything. her daughter and daughters boyfriend are the caretakers, they are not capable of fulfilling they duties. There are kids that play in the parking lot all the time and things like broken glass are always in the lot which is a very serious safety risk for children, but since the caretakers mom is in charge in the office they don't really have to do anything. The entry ways are very dirty and the grounds in general look unkept. If you live here be prepared to take care of everything yourself, maintanence is useless, our roof leaks and Karla (the manager) sent maintenance in to fix it, well they took the part of the wall out that had mold in it but did not fix the roof so it still leaks. Karla can't do anything right and if you bother her with any questions or problems she is very rude, she has a serious attitude, especially if you are not white! This place is GREAT!!!! Tha manager goes out of her way to make sure that you are happy and content. She really cares about her tenanats. I completely disagree with the previous bad review. The property has completely changed with the new manager and staff within the last 2 years. I am happy to live here and truly consider this place HOME. more

This place is worse then living in North Minneapolis . The police are in the parking lot damn near every night. Worst place I have ever lived. Cons: Peeping Toms, Property Damage, they dont clean the apartments upon move in. more
