I had a great experience 11/14/2008

I just wanted to say thanks to Dr. Snyder and her staff. I just took my cat in for her shots and she is NOT HAPPY when she goes to teh vet. Our last vet actually asked me to not bring her back because she bit one of the staff. She is such a good cat at home and I love her soooo much, but at the vets she just freaks! I decided to try Dr. Snyder because she was recommended by a friend of mine who had a cat that acts bad and she says that she always handled her well. Trix was not good but they spent more time with her and didnt just yank her out of the cage like people have done in the past (which then everything goes down hill from there). I think she did better because they were just calmer. The nurse even brought in a classical music tape and played it which I first thought was crazy, but no kidding it helped. Learn something new every day, Dr Snyder told me they play the music in the back for the animals and it keeps them calm--who knew! All I know is my cat wasn't freaky for the first time in 5 years. Thats' my two cents worth. I will definately be coming back. Kelly Brown. Pros: sweet staff, long appointment times available, good consulting, no rushing, very clean more

Great First Puppy Experience 11/12/2008

I just got two puppies from a rescue group and they recommended this hospital. We were very pleased. The hospital was in a good location, the parking lot has assigned parking spots out front which is nice so you don't have to haul across the parking lot. We saw Dr. Snyder and she was very nice. She took time to explain a lot about crate training (we're having some major problems with these two!). She even went to the trouble of contacting a trainer for us and discussing our multiple puppy problems over the phone to see if there was anything else we could be doing. (that really surprised us that she would go to that trouble!). THe staff was really nice as well, I found that to be refreshing. I am used to front staff at medical places being cold or short and everybody's all rush-rush, they were just the opposite- very accomodating and sweet. I felt welcomed from the beginning. The lobby was also very nice and clean and it has a very clean kids play area which is great because we have 2 girls. The only problem was they didn't want to leave! I found the fees to be reasonable and the service outstanding. I will definately be coming back and have already told several people about my experience. Pros: parking lot spaces marked, great staff, nice and quiet lobby, kids play spot more

saved my dog's life 11/12/2008

I took my dog to my vet (I have been going to Hemlock Bluffs for over 5 years now) because he has been throwing up. It didn't seem like that big of a deal to me, but Dr. Snyder thought there could have been something stuck in his stomach. She took some exrays and I don't know where he got it but he somehow had swallowed a rock. I never saw him do it, I don't know when he ate it. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on staff there who not only did surgery on him to save his life but stayed way after hours doing it just so i didnt have to go to the emergency clinic. i didn;t want anyone else doing surgery on him because they are his vet and they know him so well. lots of other vets i have had would have said ""sorry we gotta go home"" but Dr. Snyder and her staff were so compassionate and you could tell they really cared about me. i was a basket case, just wanted to tel you guys how much I appreciate you staying and taking care of Shiloh--I will never forget your compassion. I just wanted to let everyone know because I think customer service is a lost art now a days, thnaks for caring and Dr. Snyder you are the best! Pros: staff is so sweet, they go the extra mile every time more

You'll be glad you went! 11/12/2008

I took my poodle into Hemlock Bluffs today to get her vaccines. I just wanted to say how impressed I was by the cleanliness of this hospital. This place is immaculate! I was so suprised. We recently moved from California and our vet was great, but the office always smelled like a vets office if you know what I mean. I was blown away, I felt like I could eat off of the floor! My friend had recommended Dr. Snyder as the best. I totally agree. She was so caring and spent so much time with me. She never seemed hurried and answered all my questions so throughly. Thanks for everyone who wrote the citysearch recommendations, you guys were right, this hospital is great! Jeff and Lisa Matthews and the great ""Gretta"". Pros: very clean, bright and friendly facility, exceptional staff and nice doctor more

Be careful of the estimate- clarify services before all services before they are provided 11/11/2008

I chose this clinic based on the excellent reviews from this site. The staff was very sweet w/ my pet, and the office was very clean. I liked the consultation; the assistant went over the recommended services and why they are important and what they would entail. There was a miscommunication during my visit, unfortunately?I wanted a couple of specific bloodtests for my pet. We discussed those 2 bloodtests specifically, but somehow the assistant ran a complete work up of bloodtests. This resulted in nearly $350 worth of tests (instead of the $78 or $88 I was expecting based on our discussion and what I had requested)?which was quite a shock for me when I got the bill. Pros: sweet w/ my pet Cons: they accidentally ran extra tests more

Best Vet Ever! 10/12/2008

I wanted to share my story about my experience to inform potential and current customers alike about our experience at Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital. In 1994 I bought my first pet, a Yorkshire Terrier I named Taylor. I quickly found myself in love with this puppy! After 3 weeks she began having seizures at just 10 weeks old. I worked in downtown Raleigh so I began seeing a vet in the inner beltline. We had constant follow ups and although it was convenient, I didn't feel as though they really cared about my dog. I felt rushed and unappreciated at every visit. Years later I moved and heard about Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital and even though it was quite a drive for me, I thought I would give it a try. I felt every time I took Taylor there for a checkup that Dr. Snyder treated her as if she was her own! She was so compassionate and caring toward Taylor and toward me. I couldn't believe the difference in customer appreciation and the attention I received every time I called or came into the office. She was so knowledgeable and caring at the same time. I LOVED THIS PLACE! This past Christmas Taylor became very ill. Dr. Snyder was so quick to diagnose her and advise us of our options. We knew with Taylor being 14 years old, she really didn't have any fight left in her and my husband & I decided to have her put to sleep. Even though we knew it was the correct decision, anyone who has ever been thru it understands how difficult it is. What I really wanted everyone to know was how Dr. Snyder was so unbelievably compassionate. We have three small children so I decided it would be best if I took Taylor and my husband stayed with the children. Going by myself to have my beloved pet and friend put down was overwhelming in itself. Taylor had been thru so much with me in 14 years. She was part of the family to us. Dr. Snyder was so sympathetic and understanding. She made a situation no one ever wants to deal with, tolerable. Thank you Dr. Snyder! We love you. The Weavers Pros: Knowledge, Customer appreciation, Friendliness, Location Cons: N/A more

Outstanding service for both pet and owner! 8/3/2008

When we first moved to the Triangle two years ago, we were taking our dog to another vet. It was definitely NOT the kind of service we were looking for for our pet. Pros: QUALITY SERVICE, OUTSTANDING STAFF Cons: Didn't find them sooner more

Best Vet in the triangle 6/7/2008

I've been using Hemlock Bluffs ever since I moved here over 7 years ago and I'll never use any other vet. The staff is extremely professional, friendly, and compassionate. They've helped me through some of the hardest times a pet owner will face and gave me all the information possible to help me make the right decisions. My dogs have always gotten top notch care for all of their needs. I've recommended all of my friends to them and everyone of them has had the same excellent service that keeps me and them coming back. Pros: Laser Surgery reducing recovery time, In house Kenneling more

Wonderful care to pet and family! 4/30/2008

My soon to be 7 year old Golden has been receiving warm, caring, compassionate care from Dr. Synder and her knowledgeable and professional staff since he was 12 weeks old. Timber has had 3 major surgeries while a patient at Hemlock Bluffs. All of which he recovered from beautifully. During these times of crisis the staff always made an effort to answer all my questions no matter how many times I asked and how trival they might have been. There attitude towards me as a pet owner is very holistic. It doesn't matter if Timber is having a medical issue or is just there for preventive care. He loves spending time at Hemlock Bluffs!! more

Best vet around 4/9/2008

We've been at Hemlock Bluffs since 1992 and have seen several great vets. Dr. Snyder is so wonderful -it does not matter if it's our 2 dogs,2 cats or the guineapig coming in. We always get helpful information and a full written report. There is a very good atmosphere at Hemlock Bluffs . The doctors and the staff are so friendly and supportive .The dogs love the attention they always get ,walking in the door and the treats they really enjoy.... Pros: Friendly , competent ,great location more

Vets and staff go the extra mile to accommodate pets with special needs. 4/5/2008

I have a cat who has had several complex medical conditions and Dr. Snyder has gone out of her way to research and consult with experts in order to arrive at the correct diagnosis and best treatment plans for Eddie. She spends extra time after hours to explain the options and she and her staff demonstrate a true concern for the pets in their care. more

I love Hemlock Bluffs! 4/4/2008

After a cold experience at another vet that's closer to my house, I started taking my dogs to Hemlock Bluffs. Dr. Snyder is fantastic. All the vet techs are super-helpful and friendly. Pros: convenient to Cary, Apex, and Holly Springs more

Great vet clinic 4/3/2008

I have been using Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital for years. In all the years the vets have been hands on and a joy to work with. I know that all of my pets have had really good care. Dr Snyder took the time a couple of months ago to call me in the evening to check on my dog after she had surgery on her knee. She was getting ready to go out of town and wanted to make sure Annie was doing well. I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a caring vet. more

Best Veterinarian office in the area! 3/31/2008

How a staff interacts with their patients is truly a reflection of the doctor and business owner. Every single member of her staff is top notch! Dr. Snyder is very thorough and caring and we plan to stay with them for years to come. I love the detailed reports we get when we leave her there. from a customer for life! 3/27/2008

The doctors and staff at Hemlock Bluffs Vets are first-rate! We have a dog and a cat and we feel very comfortable with the care they receive from Dr. Snyder and her team. In fact, our dog has extensive medical issues and we have been referred by Dr. Snyder to excellent specialists. All of the staff are friendly and helpful--always a pleasure to deal with. They always remember not only my name but each of my pet's names as well. They have a full care facility with vet services, grooming, boarding, food, pet-care products and even occasional pet education sessions from a local dog trainer. We could not ask of anything more from Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital! more

Highly recommended by Pugs! 3/27/2008

We have been bringing our dogs to Hemlock Bluffs for 9 years now. The doctors and staff know our dogs and take great interest in them. Tucker and Holly love going there and we also board them there at the kennel. Both dogs have had surgery at Hemlock Bluffs and the results were great. Would not hesitate to recommend Hemlock Bluffs to others and we have no desire to go to closer animal hospitals and there are a bunch that we pass on the way from Fuquay. more
