When you walk in the door with your pet, you can be certain to be greeted warmly by the staff. There is rarely ever any wait time. All of the staff is very knowledgable and seems to know all about my dog, which is a comforting feeling. Dr. Snyder takes a personal interest which is genuine, always explaining in detail what can be expected from treatments, what to anticipate and how to best give my dog the quality care that she deserves. Even when she couldn`t perform the necessary surgery that my dog needed, she brought in a specialist instead of sending me elsewhere. This was so important because I already had trust in the staff and knew she would be in good hands post-surgery. As my dog ages, her needs are being anticipated and dealt with kindly and lovingly. The staff is wonderful! They have taken excellent care of my dogs and cats for years. I have had top-notch care from the veterinarians for every stage of my pets' lives--from puppies and kittens to geriatric dogs and cats. The office is conveniently located, appointments are easy to make and readily available. The veterinarians and staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always helpful. Dr. Snyder and Dr. Midkiff are both outstanding vets. They treat my animals like they are the most important patients in the world. We bought our first puppy 2 years ago and needed a veterinarian close to home. We found Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital and couldn't be happier with our choice. Dr. Snyder and her fabulous staff have taken great care of our pet. During our first visit she spent a great deal of time with us explaining how to care for our new puppy. Her advice was much needed and made the transition of our new pet into our home much easier. Our dog has been to the hospital several times over the last two years and each time has been a great experience. I had no idea where to go to take my new puppy when i first got her. I found Hemlock Bluffs online and read the reviews about it and decided to try it out. After my first visit there i was so happy to have found such a nice and caring facility. I had never been inside Hemlock Bluffs until my dog accidently cut his leg. We were miles away from home and I just turned in to the nearest vet office I saw. The techs and Dr. Snyder immediately began treatment on my dog, which required surgery. Even though we were not current clients, they treated me and my dog with the utmost respect and care. They were warm and attentive and answered all questions, even ones I didn't know I had! Though they knew we were not likely to return because we live so far from the office, they treated us as though we were their most valued clients. I was so impressed with all aspects of the office and staff and can not recommend Hemlock Bluffs more highly. I first found Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital through an ad in the yellow pages. I had just moved to the area and needed a veterinarian for my cat. I totally lucked out finding them! Everyone there is so helpful and caring. My cat is not the easiest to treat but they never act as if it's a problem. They are always so sweet to her. My cat was always diagnosed as a psychological licker and told there really wasn't anything to do to treat her for it. It wasn't until we came to Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital that they were able to determine it was allergies. Now my cat lives a happier life because she isn't always licking. The caring and service are the same as if your animal was a human. The staff has patience and advises you accordingly. We would have lost our dog had it not been for their concern and urgent treatment. It has given us more time with our pet to enjoy, hopefully, for a few more years. Words cannot express how happy I have been with the care that my pets have received at Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital. We moved to Cary from Connecticut 4 years ago with our middle age dog and cat and it was so important for us to find a veterinary practice that would take the place of the one we were leaving, especially so because our lab had a health history that needed a specialized understanding. Dr. Snyder and her staff exceeded my expectations and took such patience and caring with our pets. Her compassion and those of her staff helped me through the eventual loss of Jake as he was treated with dignity and respect up until the end. To me, there is no better practice to be found. I finally found a vet that could help my dog! Maddie has ALWAYS had problems with her ears and every vet I took her to just gave me some drops to put in. She would get better for a week or so, then it would be right back. I spent HUNDREDS of dollars trying to keep her comfortable but the infections got to a point when I was considering putting her to sleep. I was so upset by the time I came to see Dr. Snyder, I had given up any hope. I tried her on the recommendation of a co-worker who said she was the best. I am SOOOOO happy!!! She looked at Maddie back in September and spent over an hour with me talking about WHY Maddie had ear infections. She has allergies! We sufferred for years! Anyhow, we put her on some special food and she has some dietary restrictions, but since we began seeing Dr. Snyder in September she is so much better. We just went back Saturday and she is off of her ear drops and her ears finally are cleared up for the first time in 4 years!! And she acts so different, she acts like a puppy again. I can't say enough about the staff too. They are so sweet and everyone took so much time with me, it was crazy. Every place else I went it was like they didn't have time to explain anything. But she is much better now and that is why I am writing this review....she and her staff are AWESOME! I recommend them. Oh, and the office smells so good.....I have never been to a vet office that smells better and looks cleaner than my house!! Definately a cut above the rest!!
