Caring Vet and Staff 9/4/2010

It is wonderful to have a kind, caring, and knowledgeable vet to trust in the care of our sweet older pug. Dr. Snyder spent time discussing all of the details for the dental treatment that our dog needed and really helped us feel at ease about his care. The staff members have all been very helpful and kind as well, we really appreciated the follow up phone calls and note they sent us. They always go the extra mile to provide the best care and we are so glad to have found such a great vet. more

Great Vet! 8/22/2010

We took our puppy to Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital and were very pleased with all the staff and Dr. Snyder. Dr. Snyder took the time to answer all our questions and didn't try to rush us. She was very good with explaining things in easy to understand terms. We received a follow up call to see how our puppy was doing and to answer any questions that we had. I really felt that the staff truly cared about our puppy and wanted to make sure he got better. I would definitely recommend this vet. more

WONDERFUL SERVICE 7/28/2010

I just recently moved to Cary, and was looking for a vet to get my puppy vaccinated. Hemlock Bluffs shuffled around their schedule to fit mine, and got my dog in the same day I called. When we arrived, my dog...who's usually shaking in the vet's office..ran up to the front desk, tail wagging, and was greeted with belly rubs and compliments of how well behaved she was. We arrived a few minutes early, immediately went into our private room, and waited exactly 2 minutes for Dr. Midkiff to arrive. We got the vaccinations, and were out of the office in about 30 minutes. The intial visit felt comfortable and warm because Dr. Midkiff asked questions about my puppy, my job, and talked about her experience working with animals. The relationship we established was so much more professional and sincere than any vet I've visited. After visiting the vet since, we've met Dr. Snyder, who is very qualified and loving toward my puppy. She showed me an ear infection my dog had on an HD screen, cleaned out her left ear, and taught me how to insert medicing in the right ear. Her thoughtfulness in teaching me to take care of my dog was really appreciated. I highly recommend this Animal Hospital to anyone in the area. Their quality service, knowlegable doctors, and comfortable setting really makes it a pleasure to take my dog to the vet! Pros: Knowlegable vets, friendly staff more

Purrrfect Place 7/18/2010

After researching animal hospitals online and emailing a few of them, we decided to take our cat, Maluokeakua (which means God?s peace in Hawaiian), to Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital. We were instantly greeted with a smile when we walked through their doors. The staff and veterinarians are absolutely wonderful! They took awesome care of Malu during his boarding and the various trips we made because he got a sore from the long flight from Hawaii to North Carolina. I cannot say enough great things about them. The entire team is loving, caring, professional, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital. Pros: clean, friendly, professional, loving, caring, knowledgeable more

Great Experience 7/5/2010

I have been taking my puppy to Hemlock Bluffs since she was 8 weeks old. The staff is great and very knowledgable, making me feel very comfortable about taking my puppy there. There are flat screen monitors in each room used to display various aspects concerning my puppy (ie- the inside of her ears to visually show an infection). Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience thus far and would strongly recommend Hemlock Bluffs to anyone Pros: Very friendly staff, up to date equipment and technology more

Simply the best! 6/25/2010

I have brought my new Munchkin kitten, Mia to Hemlock Bluffs twice for her kitten exams and booster shots. Both Dr. Midkiff and Dr. Snyder were wonderful with Mia and took the time to answer all my questions. I will be taking Mia back to be spayed next month and Dr. Snyder took the time to explain the procedure to me and even showed me a video so I would know what to expect. The office is very clean and neat and the staff is wonderful and compassionate. Everyone there went above and beyond to make Mia and I feel comfortable. Pros: caring, compassionate staff, clean exam rooms more

The Best Vet In The Area! 5/22/2010

Dr. Snyder and the staff at Hemlock Bluffs was phenomenal! I had been referred by a friend and was so impressed with their services. I have an older cat who needs extra TLC. The entire staff went above and beyond with my baby. They were so gentle and attentive to his needs. Dr. Snyder was extremely thorough and during her exam, she took the time with him and explained everything she was doing so I understood the procedures. I have never taken my cat to a veterinarian who was so patient and thorough before. This was a very new and wonderful experience! Pros: Fabulous Care Cons: There are no cons. more

Wonderful experiences 4/5/2010

I have had only great experiences with this animal hospital. All of the employees are always friendly, professional, and very helpful. Dr. Snyder takes time to talk to you about your pet and do a thorough exam. She's willing to answer as many questions as you may have. They also call you the day after your appointment to make sure everything is going well with your pet. I am very glad I found this office! Pros: professional, clean, attention to detail more

Great Care! 3/24/2010

I like that place a lot, the staff is very friendly and nice. The place is clean and they were very gentle with my dog. The doctor spent a lot of time with him although he was terrified of her in the beginning. he doesnt do well with doctor because of a terrible experience when he was only 10 weeks old. I will def be taking my dog there as long as i live close to them! Pros: very clean facility and friendly staff Cons: None that I noticed so far more

very compassionate and friendly 3/8/2010

I took all 3 of my pets to Hemlock Bluffs to get updated on immunizations and check ups. The staff was very knowledgeable and compassionate. Dr. Snyder explained everything thoroughly and was just great. Everyone was very friendly and even called to check on my pets twice within the next week. more

Friendly, knowledgeable staff 3/5/2010

We went here on the recommendation of a friend and couldn't be happier with our choice. The staff are friendly and really seem to enjoy their jobs. We saw Dr. Snyder and she was very thorough and good at explaining everything. My 2 1/2 year old was with me and this is the most welcome I have ever felt with children at a vets office. They have a lot of toys set up to keep little ones entertained which is perfect. Definitely happy with our decision to go here. more

A Vet that feels like Family! 2/11/2010

This vet is the most personal and genuinely concerned group I have ever found. I've waited to write this review after several visit, because I wanted to give a fair and well-rounded report. My two dogs have visited both of the vet's at Hemlock and have had the best care. When our little terrier got very sick, the doctor personally took our call to help us make the best desicion while at the ER with him. It was calming to know we could reach the doctor and she was concerned about our little guy as well. We also boarded our dog with Hemlock and they were so sweet. They even took pictures of him in their care for us to keep. What a wonderful and personal Vet! I feel very comfortable with any care my dogs receive with Hemlock! Pros: Personal, Concerned Vets! Cons: Closed Sundays more

Best in the area that I have found 2/3/2010

Nice people, seem to know their stuff, keep my dog going well. Take the time to go over everything in detail, options, etc. They did a lot of legwork, tracking down previous vet info, referrals, etc. Pros: Knowledgable, thorough. Time to explain things! Cons: No cheesburgers more

First two visits with new puppy were great! 10/28/2009

We have had dogs before and were not happy with the vets we had found. So we were really concerned with picking a good vet for our new puppy. Checking the internet and asking around we changed our mind at least dozen times. But after hearing and reading a lot of good things (like on Citysearch) we decided to go with Hemlock Bluffs. Now after being there twice we are so happy we picked them. Everyone is so caring and friendly. Dr Snyder even spent time with us after the check up to give us some tips on raising a well behaved puppy. We really feel comfortable trusting them with our little Snoopy's health care. Pros: Caring, friendly, comfortable. more

Great Care for Dogs 10/25/2009

When my Siberian Husky pup needed to have his shots, I actually found Hemlock Bluffs here on Citysearch. After reading all the wonderful reviews, I decided to give them a call and set up an appointment. They were immediately able to see Petey so I took him in. The staff treated my dog like he was one of their own, and explained everything to me that was being done. I would strongly recommend Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital to anyone with a new pet, or anyone looking to switch vets. Pros: All of the staff really seem to care about your animal Cons: None so far more

Caring and thorough 9/29/2009

We had recently moved to Cary and had not yet taken our two toy poodles to see a veterinarian. One of our poodles suddenly became ill on a Saturday morning and we called the closest animal hospital to us which happened to be Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital. Despite the fact that they were totally booked, they managed to fit us in. Although they were very busy that morning, they took the time to explain everything to us, diagnosed our pet's illness and gave us the medication that thankfully healed our sick dog. And they called us during the next week to followup to be sure that everything was OK. Pros: Very professional and caring staff more

GREAT HAMSTER CARE 8/6/2009

I took my daughter's hamster to see Dr. Synder and was so surprised at how much time she took with us. I would have expected such diligence with a dog or cat, but she took almost 45 minutes to discuss what we were doing wrong with the diet and explain what was going on (she was bleeding from her hiney!) and gave us options for what we wanted to do. She talked to my daughter who is 7 like she was a part of the conversation, I was really impressed with that. I think she and my daughter talked more than I did. Usually it seems when you have your kids with you most people ignore them or give you ""that look"". Instead the doctor involved my daughter by asking her questions and really made her feel important. She was so excited when we left and felt like she was responsible for her pet's care for once, what a great lesson! I figured I would let everyone know what a great experience I had. I never even knew a vet would see a hamster but a friend who has a rabbit mentioned that this was where she went. I am so glad, our hamster is doing much better and I look forward to coming back. The staff was also really nice, I could tell by the way they held her they really enjoyed what they do. Major thumbs up for this clinic. I will definately be back. Pros: involved my daughter in the process more

Excellent & Compassionate Pet Care 7/11/2009

We could not get a quick appointment with our usual veterinarian, so we looked in the yellow pages & called Hemlock Bluffs. I wish we had tried them 12 years ago when my dog was a puppy! Dr. Synder was by far the most informative and compassionate doctor we have ever dealt with. Pros: Small, quiet & personal atmosphere. more

They care for my dogs like part of the family 5/5/2009

The first time I went to the office was when I got a call from a neighbor, saying that my dogs had got out of my yard. Hemlock Bluffs called me and let me know my dogs were safe and sound in their offices. It was a real comfort to know they were looking after their well being, even though at the time I was not using their services. It wasn't a hard decision to make to use their services, and they have proven again how much they really do care about my dogs like they are part of their family. Thank you for your dedication and sincerity to the health and well being of my precious pets. Pros: Conveniently located in the neighborhood more
