I have been using Heavenly Massage both in Glenview and Mt. Prospect for about 5 years now. I only go for massages so I can't comment on the other services. I also only go when there is a coupon. I have never seen any type of sleazy service going on, men have been there but I never caught a hint of sexual activity. They were just sitting in the waiting room with the other clients. I will say that the massage therapists do differ in their 'technique' so some massages are better than others. I never usually make an appointment, I just call and ask when the first available is and usually I get something within half an hour of making the call. I do sometimes wonder if the time of the massage is actually the full 60 or 90 minutes. Sometimes it seems to go short and I think they figure in the steam/shower time. I bring my own shampoo as the stuff they have in the dispenser doesn't seem to lather all that well. I really never have had any complaints about the therapists nor the atmosphere of more

I've been going to Heavenly Massage in Mt. Prospect for deep tissue massages for over a year or so. I go to see Mary, who is unbelievable. I have fibromyalgia, so I basically live in pain and she has helped relieve lower back pain and headaches. However, reading Patricia H's email about sexual favors?? That kind of concerns me. How do you know if that is truly going on there, as all of the massage rooms are private. I have seen men there quite often, but men need massage too, and not just the happy ending kind. If I find out that this is in fact true, I won't be returning, but I would need proof. more

I've been going to Heavenly Massage (Morton Grove) for 3 years for mostly pedicures. I do not get manicures and pedicures there for reasons others have cited (doing a manicure leaning to one side while getting a pedicure is NOT relaxing) so I either request these services separately (costs extra!) or skip the manicure all together. What I find that is for $30 pedicure, it's fine. I had a great woman doing my pedicures for these three years and she took her time, rubbed my legs and feet and it was actually relaxing (although I always kept my iPod on because the place itself is not a "spa" in any way and the bad radio music was annoying). Unfortunately, my favorite pedicurist moved back to Poland so I went through several others until I found one that was somewhat (although not totally) comparable to my former pedicurist. DO NOT GO TO HEAVENLY MASSAGE!\r \r Had a massage at the Buff Grv location. There were 3 customer svc people at the front desk, all of whom were gossiping with a male customer by shouting across the "relaxing" waiting room. I wasn't asked to complete a new client intake (medical history) which is required for certified massage therapists - and, unfortunately, didn't notice at first because I was so put off by the customer "service." I was injured during the massage and spent many, many hours trying to speak to a manager to get my money back (not to mention medical bills paid). In 8 attempts, no one would give me any info to escalate my complaint to the GM/Owner, Jimmy Bakopoulos, or anyone else. Finally, at the owner's instruction, they informed me they wouldn't give me a refund unless I signed a document stating I'd received the refund (how's that for a catch-22?) and a waiver releasing them from responsibility. As I was checking in and paying for my service couple weeks ago I found the front desk girl to be very rude who was speaking a different language to another employee who happend to be working on someones nails. She was yelling acoss the salon speaking a different language. I asked her who is the manager of this spa and she repiled with attitude ""I am the manager"". This wasn't the first time and its always the same girl that I see speaking a language other than english. I have been a customer of the spa for about a year now. I dont think speaking a different language in front of clients is professional. Blowing kisses across the salon is also very unprofessional. As we all know heavenly massage is famous for its name but I do not recomment the Mount Prospect location. For those who dont know there are other locations. I went to Heavenly Massage with 2 of my girlfriends. One of my friends and I got the deep tissue massages, which were everything we wanted. The other friend got a manicure and pedicure. The nail polish smudged 3 hours after getting home. 2 days later all of the polish had peeded off. If you are looking for a place to get a massage, this is the place, but for anything else, keep looking. more

On Friday, July 20, 2007 I arrived at Heavenly Massage & Spa for a Pedicure/Manicure appointment that was made a week earlier. I was taken into this room where a number of people were already being given pedicures. As soon as I sat in the pedicure chair to soak my feet, a chair was brought to my left hand side. (Since I've had many pedicure/manicures before, this definitely was confusing. Also, not one other client had a chair on their left hand side. They were first given a pedicure and then a manicure) This chair was placed there so that I could have my manicure at the same time as my pedicure. I was very disappointed having a manicure/pedicure together. When you go for a pedicure and a manicure you want to relax and enjoy both treatments. I would never recommend this spa to any person who really enjoys being pampered with the correct treatment. I have to tell you that I am disappointed in the service my daughter and I received at the establishment on Rand Road in Mount Prospect on Sunday, April 1st. We made appointment for 3:00 and on our way in from the city, where we live, we had picked up a beverage and magazines to sit and enjoy as we relaxed with our pedicures. When we got there, we were walked into a room with many spa chairs as the girl pointed to one side of the room. I asked her if I should sit in the chair and she continued to say no, and pointing to the wall. I finally figured out that she wanted us to pick out a nail polish. What is so hard about saying "Pick a polish?" Finally they sat us in the spa chairs, which I was hoping that it would be more private, but it was out in the open like the typical "Chinese chop shop". I used Heavenly Massage in Mt Prospect in February and it was great. I went back 3 months later and it was completely different. My massuese talked too much when I just wanted to enjoy my massage. My sciatic nerve has been messed up ever since. Went with my boyfriend both times - 1st time they allowed to use the shower room together which was wonderful - the second time they would not permit and would not give us any reason why. My shower was gross and dirty with a HUGE hairball. I wrote a letter to complain and never heard a single word back not even to apologize. Well worth the visit, in my opinion. Great working hours, pleasant, courteous, and well-trained personnel, and the whole entire place just looks great in general! There are many options to choose from, enough to satisfy your every need, and the prices will absolutely not put a dent in your pocket. more

My friend and I came here for a girls day out and loved it. It is very reasonably priced. For the price of a massage in the city, we got a full mani/pedi, a massage and a facial. Everything was really efficient and the services were good. There are no extra perks, like a sauna, but for the price this place is definately worth it.
