Alison is a fantastic colorist and stylist - but most of all her customer service is top-notch. I LOVE my haircolor! She is a gem!

Worst

I thought my stylst was great however I believe the price was a little out of hand $40?? Yes I enjoyed the scalp massage and the hand massage but when she was finished blow drying...

overpriced for the service 9/10/2011

I thought my stylst was great however I believe the price was a little out of hand $40?? Yes I enjoyed the scalp massage and the hand massage but when she was finished blow drying my hair she was like OK your done. I suppose I should have reminded her to flat iron it as I asked or even asked to borrow some hairspray because when i got home my curls all came out. I asked around I just feel that for 40 plus 20&percent tip I should have been spryed and flat iron. I was too shy to speak up as I am not that type and I never really splurge and have my hair done for a friday night out. more

I have had thick unmanagable hair my whole life. I thought a good hair cut was never going to happen. But then I met Melanie. She understands what you want and makes it better than you ever thought possible. Plus the colors and highlights are amazing. She is a true artist. more

Angela thanks for recommending that I cut my hair a bit shorter -- you are right it changes my whole look. My husband noticed right away and couldn't believe the change in length made all the difference. I will never doubt you -- if you tell me to do something different with my hair I will do it -- no questions asked. more

Long hair girl chopped it all off! 9/3/2011

Again had a fabulous experience with Melanie. I came in knowing I wanted to cut my very long hair to a short bob type hair cut. I explained to Melanie what I wanted and found a picture to show her and she did a wonderful job making me less nervous about chopping all of my mid back length hair off up to my neckline. She is always pleasant and does her best to make you comfortable during your appointment. Ive had multiple compliments and have told many people about Melanie. Hopefully my wonderful experience will generate more business for Melanie! more

Blow Out with Nancy Bruce 9/2/2011

Nancy does a wonderful job!! She is not only professional and friendly, but really knows her stuff, and what looks good with my shaped face! I hope someday to get a cut and highlight with her as well - I currently have a friend doing my hair in my home, but in the meantime I will go to Nancy for blowouts. Quite a treat!! more

Perfect Every Time 8/17/2011

I've been coming to Aveda at Crocker Park ever since another stylist ruined my hair. My current stylist not only reversed what the other stylist had done, she has kept me looking amazing for the past five years. She is an excellent communicator, which is key when trying to determine what your hair is going to look like. I will never leave Aveda at Crocker Park. more

my hair cut turned out great, the guy who cut my hair, elliot, was just the kind of stylist i love to go to and being in a profesional enviroment and still having a good stylist was great! my transition to hair styles is going swell thanks to my last cut! more

Wonderful! 8/9/2011

This past Saturday I got a massage from Maggie. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt very taken care of... Maggie was very friendly and helpful with advice regarding my massage. I have VERY tight shoulders/neck area and she really helped me release some of the blockage I had around my shoulder blades. I felt fantastic afterwards & will definitely be back so that she can keep helping me with this issue. more

My Appointment 8/5/2011

What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning - that is, having a pedicure & manicure. Normally, it's not something I look forward to, since most technicians are not always eager to have a conversation (especially on a Sunday morning)! However, I will say that Elliott was a delight to talk to while I was receving my service -- and equally as important,my nails look great! Thank you! more

VERY happy with HQ Salon & Spa! 8/4/2011

I have been coming to HQ for a few years. I came in on a whim for a pedicure once while shopping at Crocker Park. I have LOVED everyone I have ever worked with there. Initially, Lara cut my hair. Once she left, I went to Flori, who is also gone now. I've also worked with Melissa (who is very sweet) and most recently with Kelly (whom I really enjoy going to). I LOVE getting my haircut & styled there, and enjoy the overall relaxing spa experience they offer there. I had a facial once with Maggie, and it was wonderful! I have very sensitive skin, and was very nervous about it, but she was so professional and helpful, but I loved the results. I drive about 45 minutes to get out there, but it's worth it to me. Looking forward to my next appointment there this weekend! Thank you! more

Best haircuts EVER! 7/31/2011

My son has super thick unruly hair. Eliot gave Kyle a haircut 6 weeks ago, and it was by far the best cut he's ever had! As the cut grew out it remained manageable, and he didn't end up with a "tail" after a couple weeks. Kyle was very excited to see Eliot today for another cut, but not only because he'd leave looking awesome. Eliot does a great job of engaging my 8 year-old in conversation and making him laugh. We look forward to Eliot cutting Kyle's hair for years to come! more

Excellent Facial 7/31/2011

I enjoy the Aveda experience and product. I chose a facial and had to wait 3 weeks to get an appt. with a girl who is very popular. It was worth the wait. Her name is Maggie. Excellent service. it was an 1 1/2 hour facial. My skin looks great! However the store itself is not clean. It is not consumer friendly and the front desk service is very unprofessional. The attire is not what you would normally see in any well groomed Aveda store.It is a small cramped space and the haircutting area looks like something you see at a school for hair. The women who work the front are not professional so you just have to decide if this place is worth it. In this economy customer service is crucial. more
