Have to say ...I was very excited to get a facial after reading all the reviews. Got an appointment for a European facial and here's my experience. Was 5min before my facial and they got me checked in on time. The lady who did my facial greeted me well and she mentioned that I dont even have to get change any clothes as its going to be only on my face.Then she threw some cream on my face put the steam machine on and left for 20 minutes. came back wiped my face with a towel (saw few towels hanging on the surface of the sink, dint look or smelled like they were fresh. Hope she did not use the same one) Did about 5 minutes of extractions. Then put more cream on my face and left for 15 minutes. came back wiped my face and said your done. . I have never every seen a facial like this. For this kind of facial(paid $80) , I dont need to go to these classic spa's and waste my money. The regular next door spa's charged me just $60 and had a wonderful facial done. Hope they improve their service and not loose customers because of this kind of service. more

This is a NO star experience. I wanted to treat my girlfriends for a nice half day experience at the spa for Christmas. I had recently been to Barton Springs spa with my sister in law and had had a great time. I live in Round Rock so i thought i would try the local day spa. I had spend around $700 for the three of us. We got there and we filled out tons of paperwork.The place is loud. The front staff was rude and untrained. One friend had her massage by a male but we were never asked ahead if this is OK. My other friend asked for deep tissue but got a tiny masseuse that did not "up" the pressure. The place looked OK on the outside but the cheap paintings inside made me gag, no taste what-so-ever and not relaxing. My massage was OK but the rest of the staff was rude and i never felt pampered.I was supposed to have a massage with my friend but "They just forgot" to put us in the room together! My manicurist put handsanitizer on my hands. I almost did not believe my eyes! Both my friends were dissapointed but did not want to tell me because i had spend all this money. NEVER AGAIN! more

The service provided was excellent; however the lack of a lounge area took away from my relaxation experience. The massage provided by Cheryl was wonderful and very relaxing and the facial by Marina was one of the best facials I’ve ever received. However after the massage was completed I had to put my clothing back on to go and sit in a very uncomfortable chair in an uninviting waiting room until it was time for my facial. It would have been nice to have been given a robe and sit in a lounge area where I could stretch my legs and relax and enjoy the aftermath of the great massage I had just received, but instead I struggled to stay awake in an uncomfortable seat. So I am conflicted about returning because I love the services provided by the the very friendly staff but I do enjoy a spa where I can lounge and relax with a cold beverage. Also Quynn the nail tech was very good and the front desk staff was very friendly. more

I was looking to get better highlights as my hair was extremely two-tone. My old hairdresser had moved away to a different salon and I neglected getting my hair done because I didn't want to find someone new. I saw Alex had great reviews on city search and Halina's was super close by. She was so great and my hair came out completely natural, looking great for my trip to New York City this Christmas with my family. I got highlights and lowlights and she used not two but three different colors to get the golden effect I wanted as well as add depth to the color. She was super nice and fun to talk to as well. Felt like she really cared how my hair was going to look and was excited about what she was doing. Can't wait for my next appointment! more

Very nice place, inviting and relaxing atmosphere. That's all the positive I can say. I was looking to find a massage at that last minute and they booked me with Patrica. It was absolutely the most uncomfortable massage I've ever had, and I'm sorry to write this, but she should not be practicing at a high-end spa. Her technique was so choppy and I felt so uncomfortable on the table. I practice yoga, and get massages on a regular basis, and am very open to all types of massage techniques and there was absolutely nothing relaxing about her work. There was barely any pressure, and there was no flow to what she was doing. There was a point during the massage I just wanted to get up and leave. I never usually write reviews, but I just didn't want anyone to experience what I did....sorry, Patrica. Perhaps you need to take a few more classes. Definitely not worth the money. I got a better chair massage at the airport - much more knowledgeable about the muscles and pressure points...and way more relaxing. I guess you don't have to pay a ton of money for quality service!? more

As a reward to myself, I wanted a completely new look. I had been to Halina's before, but not for salon services. I booked my appointment with Alex, and told the receptionist that I wanted her to not be afraid to go wild with me. After asking a few questions about me, Alex told me she had a style in mind that would cut a few inches off my length, add some fun layers, and that she wanted to put some chunky highlights in my hair. I told her to go for it! She was so much fun. Totally engaged my husband and I. My husband left as to not ruin the surprise. Alex also turned me so that I couldn't see what she was doing until the "big reveal." Can I say--"AWESOME!!!!" It was such a perfect cut for me and my lifestyle, and the coloring was amazing. My husband, who was fearful of me 1) cutting my hair; and 2) coloring my hair, was SO pleased! I have never felt so glamorous before. And the reactions I have been getting have been astounding. EVERYONE was told me how great I look. Alex did an absolutely amazing job with someone she had never met before! I am a huge fan!!! Once again I had a perfect experience at Halina's. Thank you so much!!! more

I have been getting my hair cut, colored and styled by Pam for one year now. She is fantastic!!!! She keeps detailed notes about what she does to my hair each appointment. She never tries to sell me treatments I do not need. Every time I go I leave 110% satisfied! I will never have my hair colored by anyone else now! The staff at Halina's is pleasant and always greats me with a smile. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my appointment. more

My husband bought me a giftcard for a massage, facial, manicure & pedicure. I finally had a free day and looked forward to using it. My massage was fine and staff friendly. My facial lady really went at my face hard doing extractions and didn't seem to care that it was hurting...it would have been nice to have a little break, but my skin looks great. They do not have a private relaxation area and I think this really takes away from a nice spa day. The last part of my day was a manicure & pedicure. The technician's name was Marlene North and she was not friendly or interactive. She treated me like an idiot. The other lady was super friendly and interactive with her clients, but this lady seemed to have a real problem with me or was maybe having a bad day? Anyway, she totally ruined the whole experience for me. Not sure if I'll bother going back...there are plenty of day spas out there who don't have nasty staff who think they are better than you. more

I've been going to Halina for 2 years and I am still thrilled each time I go. I love seeing Habiba, she makes you feel very special. She gives amazing facials, massages and body treatments. Even wax is comfortable with her. I can spend 3 hours in her treatment room but the time flying by so fast! I feel relaxed and beautiful each time. I have so many compliments on my smoother and younger looking skin. The atmosphere of this Spa is very nice and the staff very friendly. I would recommend this place and especially Habiba to everyone. more

I got a gift certificate for the spa and they were having a special at the time. Book a europen facial and get a free microbrasion. So I book the europen facial and when i get there the beautician suggested i get the the deep cleansing instead. Forgetting about the free microabrasion i said fine "whatever you think best" After finishing I went to the front desk to make the appointment for the micro and was told that sorry that is only valid with the european facial. I explained that the Beautician changed the appointment and was basically told too bad. I went for a followup facial last week and the experience I had was so unbelieveable. My first appointment I was told to take off my clothes and was given a gown to wear. I was given a foot massage and a neck massage and when i left I was glowing and relaxed. On the followup visit i arrived at my appointment at 2:35 the appointment was set for 2:40 the beautician cam and got me from the witing room (which was non-existent they had no waiting area) at 3:10 at which point she rushed me into the room. Fully clothes with my shoes on I was told to lay down. NO massage no pampering. I think that it is very dishonest to take money from someone and not provide the expected service. I have to say after the first vist even with the dishonoring of the microabrasion I was still a fan. But after the second treatment I will never go back or reccomend this place to anyone. more

When I was in my twenties, I loved my hair. Now, in my 40's, my hair makes me crazy. Who knew hair could change that much? I am that woman who gave up and started wearing ponytails..you've seen me at the store, looking like a car wreck. Another salon gave me a really BAD cut and I waited almost a year (had to) for it to grow out. I showed Ashely my hair and trying not to cry, told her how messed up it was, (cut and color and texture!) and how hopeless I was. She told me not to be negative, and I thought "You just dont understand!!!" But maybe she just knows her skill level because I left looking better than I have looked in YEARS! Thanks Ashley! I will be back to halina's in Round Rock! more

I have visited Amanda a few times now for an "herbal facelift" and it's amazing. It's like no other facial I have ever had. It's a spiritual experience not just for my face but my heart and soul as well. It melts away my stress and gives me 90 minutes where it's all about me. She masages my hands and feet, all of the products that she applies smell heavenly and I walk out of there like a brand new person. I can't say enough about her and her talent. Any woman that works, is a mother or wife definitely deserves a visit to Amanda once a month. We are worth it. So try it-your family will be proud of you for taking care of yourself and you will come home smiling! more

The first first time I went to the spa, I went with a friend. I was not from Round Rock, so I was unsure of how to get to the location. I make reservations the second time around for my mom's birthday, but had gotten lost and was late for my appointment. I called several times trying to find the salon but was unsuccessful. I had arrived late and was charged full price and all my services were rushed and was told I better make use of the time because I was still paying full price for all services. I feel like we were being punished for being late. I was embarrassed after telling my mom how much fun she was going to have it was the complete opposite, maybe they just had a bad day???? Never will return more

I have been going to Annie at the Burnet Road location to get massages for roughly 2 years. She not only gives the best massages ever, she is incredibly thoughtful to show you stretching techniques and she takes the time to explain how your muscles work together. She is so sweet and thoughtful too, remembering about your life and asking how everything is going. Annie really knows her stuff and makes you feel like you are the only person in the world for the hour that she is giving you your massage. I highly recommend Annie! Ever time I leave, I feel like a million bucks! more

When I moved to Austin almost 2 years ago I had the fun task of finding all new people...you know doctors, hair stylist, nails, etc. I learned the hard way a few years ago never to get your eyebrows done at a regular walk-in nail salon. Lesson learned! Thank God I found Halina's, and even more thankful I found Amanda. I have pretty unruly eyebrows and pretty sensitive skin as well. Not only does she always create the perfect shape, I have no redness at all by the time I get home, which is rare for me. She also gives the best facials out of anyone I've ever been to, dermatologist offices included. I live about 25 minutes away, and I will drive there just to get my eyebrows done....that's how good she is! The place is gorgeous and serene, and everyone who works there gives impeccable customer service as well. I am pretty picky when it comes to this stuff, and they are hands down the best spa in the area. Definitely go to Amanda for brows and facials too! more

I started going to Brad to get massages a couple of years ago and he is the best! His touch is firm enough to knead out the knots yet gentle enough that you feel soooo relaxed afterwards! He incorporates hot rocks and reflexology in his sports massage, it's increditble! Of all the massages I have gotten in spas at even the best vacation resorts and around town, his massage tops them all! more

Friendly , courteous staff. Family owned local business. Like the ability to make appointments on their website. Clean, professional and client-centered. What you need comes first. Ask for Erin for your stylist. She is wonderful. We first did a consult and she told me my hair needed a great conditioner and haircut. I told her nothing I have tried WORKS!! Expensive conditioners of the past I had tried - fail. She told me about Kerasmooth. This conditioning treatment is worth every penny! My hair felt so incredibly smooth and silky... Wow I actually have hair again! I did this last week and this week I colored my roots. My hair still feels great and I will do this treatment again in 14 weeks. This is worth the price ladies and it is a quick treatment. Call Halina's! Remember to ask for Erin and Kerasmooth! Pros: Super conditioning treatment called Kerasmooth! Cons: Skip the next Macy's sale and spend $ for this treat! more
