I recently had a couple of appliances in my house serviced by Grayson Collin Appliance and feel compelled to share my opinions. The technician worked w/ my schedule and set up a time in the late afternoon as i requested which was unbelievably helpful. When he showed up, I was greeted with a big smile and a firm handshake. I was having my refrigerator looked at because it had stopped cooling and was certain it was going to be a bad compressor or something really expensive. Turned out it was just a bad ""relay"" and cost me very little. At that point the man could have simply charged me and left, but we continued to talk for a bit and he gave me some very interesting info and pointers. Like did you know that you should clean the coils under your fridge... who knew. He also took a ""quick look"" at my dishwasher for no extra charge because it wasn't cleaning as well as it once had and he found plastic fork holding the spray arm in place. I guess I probably could have done that myself, but i haven't a clue how a dishwasher works. Anyway, I was very pleased with the service and will continue to use this company. I was very pleased with the service from grayson very nice friendly guy said he would be out between 10-12 a guess what the doorbell rings at 10 05 i live in carrollton and thats a long drive but his time was perfect he was very proffesional....my range was repair in minnutes he was done..i have had other companies like sears which is very expensive and they are not familiar but only the one item that they are trained on.But the worst company i ever had was called A and E now thats a joke....I WILL ALLWAYS CALL GRAYSON and have K---- fix my appliances more

Wait on Hold Forever! Didn't fix Fridge! Broken 3 times since they started ""repairing"" it! 8/19/2007

This company is horrible. They have been out 3 times in less than a year to work on my fridge. They replace the main control last year and I had problems immediately. I called them and told them what the fridge was doing and they said it was normal. Then the fridge quit cooling, 3 weeks later they ""fixed"" it. Again, I reported the noises and the repair man said it was nothing. Now it's broken again and this repair man said the noise was from the Main Control panel shorting out (the mysterious noise I had been hearing since they replace this part a year ago!) Now they tell me that part is only warrantied for 90 days! So I get to spend another $500 to replace the same part! BUYER BEWARE!!! Pros: Happy to come out and take your money Cons: Don't fix anything! more

Would not recommend this company 8/19/2007

Grayson Collin Appliance was recommended on the Whirlpool website and were prompt on their first visit. When the fridge started having problems shortly after their first repair I called them directly at the technician's advice. They told us the problem was a major part that might be covered by warranty and that they would check on it and call us back. we never heard fom them again and needind to have a fridge I called them back with msgs and also another agency to get results. The fridge was repaired by another agency (costing us over $500) due to the fact that Grayson tolds us the part was not covered and the reason they did not call was that accroding to their records our # was diconnected???????. We soon found out that the part in fact WAS covered under warranty and 2 months later a letter arrived from a collection agency initated by Grayson for a $75 fee. This fee was never mentioned to us at the previous contacts and the company's conduct is completely unprofessional and aunacceptable. We have reproted them to the appropriate agencies and contacted Whirlpool regarding the incident. Whirlpool is noting this when considering renewal with them as they told us. Grayson was very prompt on their first visit to diagnose the problem and to get our $60. Their next visit I took off work to meet them and they brought the wrong part. Instead they brought two wrong parts. They blamed it on Whirlpool. The next week they came out again (and I took off work) and brought the WRONG parts AGAIN! I don't know why they don't check their parts before they come. Cons: They refuses to call back, I asked on several occasions to speak to a manager and they always seem to be out of the office. more

I called Grayson Collin Appliance on April 17th, It is now July 25th and I still do not have my refrigerator repaired.. The initial service call went ok. The guy came out, diagnosed the problem, and said someone would call me on Monday (the call was on Friday) to outline the costs of the part needed (the door needs to be replaced due to a malfunctioning ice dispenser). Nobody called.. I called Tuesday, they took my name and said they would call back. Nobody called back.. I called on Thursday, and Friday and into the next week!.. Every time, I was promised a call back from someone with the information, but nobody called. A week later, I was (amazingly) told that a courier must have lost the paperwork!. Starting over, I gave them the information on the model etc.. They were to check on getting a door and call me back.. Nobody called. Eventually I was able to talk to someone there that knew something and they went to order the door 6 weeks later, they called me to tell me the order was in and we scheduled an install appointment. I took off work to meet the installer, but he showed up without the door!.. Instead he had a front panel for the icemaker? Of course it did not fix the problem so he took it back.. I called the front office again but was told they have no paperwork until the repairman returns. (why the repairman carries around my entire folder is beyond me!). They were to call me back by 5:00.. nobody called. I called them again, was put on hold, and finally gave up after 9 minutes. Even the repairman told me of problems inside the company. They evidently have a good amount of turmoil. I am amazed that they can be in business with such amazingly poor performance. So now I am off to try to find a responsible repair company. I have essentially wasted 80$ for a service call and almost 3 1/2 months of time. This company should be ashamed of themselves. If you are wise you will stay away from Grayson Collin Appliance. Pros: absolutely none. Cons: extremely poor performance. un-organized. flip attitude frustrating more
