Exceptional Service 2/13/2011

A chunk of ice flew off a car and smashed my windshield. I needed it fixed right away and called Glass Doctor. They were out that afternoon and did a fabulous job. They even gave me a breakage warranty so if my windshield breaks again I get a free one. Highly recommend more

Glass Doctor is the best! 12/30/2010

My car was vandalized and I was in a bind. I had to leave town and I didn't want to drive 250 miles with a broken window. Glass Doctor sent a tech out right away, cleaned up all the broken glass and I was on my way with a minimum of fuss. more

Bad experience.... 11/1/2010

I called to get a quote to repair a broken insulated glass window. Due to their rudeness on the phone and lack of service, I called Kirkwood Glass and got a quote that was $60 cheaper. Thank goodness the Glass Doctor phone service was terrible. more

My window was smashed in the middle of the night...after calling a few glass places, Glass Doctor was the only one that would come to my house that morning and get my windshield replaced. They cleaned all the broken glass out of my car too! The tech as nice and efficient. He was finished before I could finish drying my hair! They provided me with all the correct paperwork for my insurance agent and I am so pleased with the service I was given. I would highly recommend using the glass doctor! Glass Doctor Rocks! They are nice, knowledgeable, and quick. I got my windshield replaced at my work after a chip spider-ed into a huge crack! The tech was extremely fast and the quality of his work was great. It was so convenient that they could come to my work. All I needed to do was sign on the dotted line and I was ready to go. I woke up to my car vandalized and the back passenger window shattered all over the car floor. The Glass Doctor rescued my ruined morning with their friendly customer service and ridiculously quick replacement. The window looked better than ever with the finished product ready for me in no time. This is without a doubt the first thought to cross my mind the next time I have a window or windshield emergency- whether on site or in the shop. I called for repair to a home window, and was given a quote for my Andersen window. The day of the appointment, the man called and stated ""not sure that they told you, but there is a $45 charge for an estimate, but you can put it towards your repair."" Since I already knew the estimate, I agreed. When the worker came over, he looked at the window and immediately told me that he wouldn't repair it. He spent the rest of the time giving me phone numbers of people to call to repair it. Then of course charged me $45. Now, they KNEW the window dimensions, brand of window, etc. when I had first called, so then to come out and charge me when they would not repair it is insane. I also looked them up when the man left and the BBB gives them an ""F"". I am angry with myself for not doing my homework and out $45 of a rip off. By the way, the Kansas CIty number actually routes you to the actual business ""kansas city glass doctor/harmon""- so you know. Cons: see below more

Would not even give it one star 6/24/2008

Terrible service. My windshield was cracked, they came and replaced it and I noticed there was a huge air leak when driving home that night. They came out 2 more times and were unable to fit it properly. The last guy put tape on it! The manager of the shop is unreal. He will not give you a name or number of anyone else to complain to. I ended up going to another shop which pointed out to me the damage that Glass Dr. did, they not only scratched all around my windshield, they actually put a hole in my roof. Ended up having to turn this over to my insurance. What started out as a simple cracked windshield became almost one thousand dollars in car repairs thanks to the Glass Dr's incompetence and rudeness. more

Terrible service. My windshield was cracked, they came and replaced it and I noticed there was a huge air leak when driving home that night. They have since come out 2 more times and it still doesn't fit properly and leaks. The last guy put tape on it! The manager of the shop is unreal. He will not give you a name or number of anyone else to complain to. I never received a single apology for the inconvenience or the fact that the car is still not fixed. I will have to go somewhere else to get this fixed properly. Be sure and check them out - 37 complaints in 24 months! Managers response to that ""Can't please everybody"" more

Faulty installation, poor customer service 3/11/2008

I had to have a windshield replaced on my luxury sedan. I was asked to bring my car into the shop so that they would have it in the garage and all the tools necessary at hand. Instead of working on my car in the garage, it was left outside with the windshield removed when a snow storm came through. When they gave me my keys back, the inside of my car was wet. My leather seats and dashboard were wet. Water was pooled in the window switches. Upon reviewing the workmanship, they sliced off part of my molding and broke a plastic clip on the same molding. The windshield leaked air in the corner. I made two ensuing appointments for warranty repair. They failed to show up to the 2nd appointment after I confirmed it twice that very afternoon. They did not call to tell me they weren't coming. I had to take my car into the shop the next morning to get it repaired. I would not recommend nor ever use Glass Doctor again. Their price was the lowest in town but it wasn't worth it. Pros: Issue was finally resolved Cons: Poor customer service, faulty installation, disregard for my car more

great service and very nice tech 2/19/2008

I live in Minnesota twin city. My window is broken by neighbor kids. I called the glass doctor and they came within the same day. The guy asked about the situation and knows that we are planning to replace the whole window within the month. He simply put some board around and glu e them together in half an hour and refused to charge anything. I am just so moved by his consideration and quick and good service. If my good window is ever broken again, I will definitely choose them. more

Did a lousy job on window replacement. I took it back twice and still not right. Sounds like I'm driving with my windows down there's so much air coming in around the window. They were the best price in town but I would not use them again. I'd pay more and get the job done right! more

Wonderful, professional customer service 4/25/2005

When put in the unpleasant position of having a broken windshield, one often doesn't want to deal with any additional frustration. The Glass Doctor is amazing. They came to our home to repair the glass, even when we didn't think we'd be home. We were able to pay for the repair over the phone ahead of time. The technician even re-attached a rear-view mirror that had been off for years. And, we were most surprised by the price - which was not only competitive, but the lowest we could find. If we are ever faced with this problem again, we will surely call Glass Doctor. They're fast, professional, and great to work with. more
