This is the best clinic!!! 2/5/2012

For a quick place to go when your in a hurry and don't have time to wait all day, this is the place to go!! Everyone was so great from the minute I walked in. I was in and out in like a hour which was awesome because I was really sick and did not feel like waiting long. Also, my brother had to go here too because he injured his wrist playing ball. Of course, it was broken so they had to send him to see a specialist. The referral clerk was so helpful and got him an appointment that same day!! I would recommend Germantown minor med to anyone! Good Job!! more

THE WORST CLINIC EVER 1/27/2012

my husband and i walk in to the clinic on a friday afternoon at 110pm. couldnt find a sign in sheet. there was a young skinny white lady with long hair working the desk and answering phones. she was soo unorganized. she was talking major smack on the phone to whoever was calling. slamming the phone down and she kept disappearing behind the wall to cuss and fuss about the phones ringing. clearly this young lady was very frustrated. the poor thing looked starved and on drugs. we sat there for about 30 minutes without being asked for any information or given paperwork to fill out , to be seen. i have to say this place is the most unprofessional rediculous healthcare practive ive ever witnessed. i finally walked up and asked to sign in and she threw the clipboard up on the desk and sarcastically said , here you go. i just turned around and walked out. no wonder there was no one else there. more

THE MOST AWESOME CLINIC EVER!! 12/6/2011

I love this place, from start to finish! This team of healthcare prefessionals are THE GREATEST!!! Very sincere, speedy and thorough. I have been to some pretty rediculous clinics, but my daughter and I wont attend another doctors office outside of GTOWN MINOR MED!!! Thanks so much to all the staff...from the 2 ladies that GREET you with a smile at the front desk.... to the PROVIDERS, the LAB professionals and the NURSES that triage you, draw your blood, and admisinter shots! . I recommend this clinic with 5 stars! VERY PASSIONATE and caring! Thank you for taking such great care of us! more

Great Beginning Bad Ending 6/5/2011

My family and I have been using Germantown Medical for almost 9 months. We've always had pretty good results with them until today. MY nephew is visiting us from out of town(he's 10) and started running a fever that was consistently rising every 30 minutes. Since I was familiar with the office and the staff I decided to take him there. They refused to see him because I didn't have a handwritten note from his Mother. They wouldn't even take a faxed letter from his Father saying it was ok to treat him. They told me that they just couldn't treat him and that I would need to take him elsewhere. I was furious. There have to be exceptions to all rules. I left there so angry that I'm planning on finding another clinic. Positive that they lost our family of four's business. more

worst clinic to go to.. 2/1/2011

this is the worst place to go to when you need help. i went into this clinic about three months ago with very bad ear pain and was given some drops to put in. when the pain was almost gone was mid jan 2011. jan 29th,2011 had to go back starting having very bad pain where i couldnt eat or keep any liquids down and couldnt hear anything. the doctor there gave me more drops ( same ones i had the time before ) I told them i had these last time and they didnt work and the doctor said "" these are the ones i am going to give you and it may help this time'' well i had to go to another clinic for help. well as of today feb 1st i have no hearing and i have to meet up with a emt to see if they can fix it or is my hearing gone for good. IT'S NOT WORTH IT. more

Front Desk Jennifer is very rude 7/5/2010

I called this office in regard to a bill that I had paid earlier this week. I wanted to make sure it posted and I had a few billing questions. The front desk little girl named Jennifer hung the phone up in my face after stating, she does not work in billing and I needed to speak with someone named Neal. I called back 2 hours later asking for Neal. I informed her that she hung up in my face earlier and was Neal there yet. She stated No, he is still not here he comes whenever he wants. She admitted to hanging up the phone, saying yes I did and hung up a second time while I was talking. Our family andmy colleagues will NOT be returning...EVER! more

Awesome place!! 4/21/2010

I went to this office because my PCP couldnt see me so I had heard from several of my friends that this place was good. I thought it would take forever seeing as its a minor medical and they accept walkins. I was very surprised that there was no wait and that they were family practice. I ended up having a sinus infection so they gave me a ""sinus cocktail"" which made me feel so much better. I liked the practitioner so much that I switched drs and have no regrets! I love the staff, and its so convenient. Also, I needed to get a referral for a specialist and the referral clerk is so nice, she helped me and found me a wonderful dr. I recommend Germantown Minor Medical to everyone!!! Pros: good staff, very sweet nurse practitioners, clean office more

Germantown Minor Medical 4/6/2010

I can see where this place would be hard to find, but I have visited that Arby's and often wondered about the seemingly out of place ""Minor Medical"" sign. I was worried about how long I would have to wait, considering I had a class at 9.40 am (I got to the clinic at 8.15 am). I absolutely loved the portable computer they had for filling out paperwork (Phreesia I believe it was called). Made everything very easy and it's great for the environment. Although, it did take a bit of time, but I'm sure filling out the paperwork would have taken just as much time. I was almost immediately called to the back after finishing the new-patient intake forms and the nurse immediately took my vitals, the doctor came in before she was even finished. My white blood cell count was tested very fast and before I knew it I was on my way IN LESS THAN AN HOUR. I have spent twice as much time waiting on the doctor even when I had an appointment. The staff was friendly as well. I will go to Germantown Minor Medical whenever possible from now on. Pros: Fast service, friendly staff Cons: NONE! more

What is going on here?! 8/11/2009

I went in to this office for the first time in years (my mother took me there when I was a child) I had some labs done. Two days later they called and said I was fine I was just a little anemic and suggested me taking a daily vitamin with iron. This was a week ago. Last night another employee called me and now they want me to come in for injections for my severe anemia, ""oh wait I am sorry I read that wrong"" he said to me. ""we are going to call you in some prescriptions and need a number for your pharmacy"". I was very confused and could not understand the lab tech. This morning I called the office again to ask if there was another lab tech I could speak with and the receptionist was extremly rude and cut me offf by saying I could only talk to him and would not be in before noon and then hung up. She did not wait for any response from me. I will not go back to this office and I suggest you do not either. I would much rather wait longer at a more inconvient office as long as the service was better that this! Pros: Great doctor, takes most insurance, Great Doctor Cons: very rude staff more

Okay but front desk lady is nuts 7/27/2009

I took my mom because I have had okay service in the past. When we got there their system was not updated listing GMM as her primary care physician so my mom was charged $100 instead of the $20 that she should have paid. The front desk lady made no attempts to resolve the issue - it was either pay the $100 or leave. We sat there for more than an hour and then another 30 minutes in the little room. The doctor came in asked my mom about her symptoms and without touching her told her that she needed to go to the emergency room. We paid $100 for that. We went to the emergency room and sat for 7 hours only for her to receive a breathing treatment and be sent home with two prescriptions for asthma. We then visited a physician that my trusted from the past Mary McCullough who found that my mom had an enlarged heart due to a hyperactive thyroid. By some miracle the information was updated in the system a day later which caused us to have to back to GMM for referrals since they magically appeared as my mom's primary care physician again. This was another drama filled experience on each occasion. I am going to change my mom's information as well as my own and never visit this place again. I have not had bad experiences on every occasion but enough to know when it's time to move on. Pros: Late hours & take most insurance Cons: Bad staff more

Great service, easy in and out 10/29/2008

I started using Germantown Minor Med when the waits at my current PCP became ridiculous. I used to have to wait 2 hours PAST my appointment time to be seen by my old doctor. Finally I started coming to Minor Med. The most I've ever waited there has been 20 minutes, as a walk-in. I've never made an appointment.\r \r It's a bit confusing to find the first time you go, as it's located behind Arby's, and not directly on Germantown Road (even though the address is Germantown Road). But once you find it, it's easy from then on. I've always had quality care there, and never felt rushed, though they are good about moving people on through. \r \r I recommend them to anyone in need of care! I use them for everything now. Pros: Quick service, one-stop for almost everything Cons: Location can be a bit confusing at first more

Could be in a better location. 8/25/2008

I'm giving 3 stars although I'm still uncertain about GMM. First of all, the location is odd (behind Arby's but still on Germantown Rd). I kept passing it. Then the nurse, w/o knowing my history, says my bp is up slightly and gives me a script. I don't have a problem normally with my bp. \r I can say that the staff is friendly. Overall my experience was ok. Pros: Handles almost everything Cons: Location more

Excellent Experience 5/15/2008

From the time I walked into the door, until the time i left i had nothing but a caring, professional and helpful experience. The front desk greeting me with warmth and the physician and staff couldn't have been more helpful. I highly recommend this office to anyone needing medical help. Pros: Caring Professional Staff Cons: Hidden behind Arby's - Hard to find. more

My doctor's office posting... 5/8/2008

I decided to google my doctor's office and was very concerned about these postings. My family and I have been patients at GMM since 1998. Good service and word of month is your best advertising, therefore, I would be concerned if a office had a small patient load. It is a wait ( I have been at much much worst) but, for many of us this is a ""one stop shop "" for my healthcare. The extended hours have helped me over the years. The only major problem I had was a bill I rec'd from my ins. company. The office mgr at GMM called on my behalf and ended up helping me and causing a ins. refund to be given to me. The pen is strong and I ask you to use fair posting when it concerns my doctor's office. Pros: Great office Cons: Would like longer weekend hours more

Best Treatment Around! 5/1/2008

I took my son to this clinic on a Monday morning. My son has a disability so is a little harder to deal with. The staff and nurse practitioner were MORE than wonderful! We were in and out within 30 minutes and everyone was so pleasant. We had trouble at first getting in contact with our insurance company to get authorization for our visit, but the young girl in the billing department was very helpful and knowledgable about what to do and took the time to help right then. Everyone in the office worked as a team and showed great enthusiasm for every patient that was there, even though it was very busy. Billing the insurance was never a problem because we gave them all the correct information in the beginning. This minor medical center far surpasses all the others, even lebhoneur. They are great with children, with adults (my husband and I) and even my sisters, brother, and grandmother are patients now! Also being able to pop in without an appointment is perfect! We truly appreciate the patience and dedication of the staff at Germantown Minor Medical and will continue to go there and recommend them to everyone we know! \r PS The receptionist in the front is definitely not passing out lollipops at a carnival, but she is on top of things and very helpful and efficient and that is what matters! Pros: Wonderful staff, short wait times Cons: Hard to see from the street more

You are so correct moneymilldr!!!!! 3/29/2008

I had the same horrible experience. My case was a workman's comp situation. The service when I got there was very rude and I had to wait forever...I was the only patient at the time, it was a Sunday morning and there was nobody in the waiting room except for me!!!! The rude lady behind the counter took all of my information and also called my boss to confirm my injury did occur on the job. I wondered at the time why she wasn't writing any of the info down but, I assumed it would all get taken care of...BIG MISTAKE!! I ended up getting all of these letters from collection agencies saying I owed the minor medical center!!!! My boss is taking care of this but, the woman who took down my info obviously tossed it in the damn trash or whatever. It was very obvious she didn't care at all!! They charged 221 bucks to put CHEAP SALVE on my burn!! WHAT A RIP OFF AND SCAM THIS PLACE IS I GIVE IT NO STARS( if this site would let me) CAUSE THEY ARE HORRIBLE! The people in medical billing apparently don't understand how to send the proper forms to insurance companies which caused my credit to be damaged. If you have a workman's comp situation , you need to find a medical center that employs people who are familiar with medical billing!!! Cons: RUDE STAFF, OVER CHARGING,SEVERE INCOMPETENCE more

Good service, great treatment 3/9/2008

I've been here several times, and once within the last month. I highly recommend this place. I have gotten superior treatment as compared to other minor medical centers in the area. They are very nice and thorough, and got me the treatment I needed every time. I can't remember what doctor I saw but she was very nice. The time before that I saw a nurse practitioner there. She was also very nice. Both had wonderful bed-side manor and ran appropriate tests to diagnose my problems. And both times the treatments given were extremely effective. Pros: Central location in Germantown, wait time is relatively low Cons: Receptionist staff could be more friendly more

Worst place to go if you are sick and want to keep you money. Rude People, Inadequate Care and Information 11/12/2007

RUN- MONEY MILL; They will run up your tab, THEN, hang up on you. HAVE THINGS CHANGED; The days of Dr, Loskovitch there doing a fine job..a GREAT man ; are over. These rude people will hang up on you. They treat people like absolute insurance claims with no CARE WHATSOEVER about why you are calling, & what is wrong. I bet $ 15K they will be out of biz in 6 months. ONCE YOU GO THERE..YOU WILL NEVER GO BACK. Get READY TO BE ABSOLUTELY BILLED TO THE HILT, TESTS YOU DO NOT NEED...AND YOUR WALLET WILL BE EMPTY. INADEQUATE CARE FROM THE STAFF WHOM CAN BARELY CARRY ON A COMPLETE SENTENCE. I WOULD RATHER SPEND 15 HOURS IN THE E.R...ANY E.R., THAN PAY THE EQUIVALENT AND GET TREATED LIKE A PIECE OF NOTHING RUN! ANYWHERE ELSE.\r \r GET YOUR SHOTS AT KROGER OR WALGREENS OR THE SHOT NURSE. THESE PEOPLE ARE NTO PROFESSIONALS AND WILL NOT BE AROUND FOR MUCH LONGER! ALWAYS AN EMPTY PARKING LOT..THERE WAS MY FIRST CLUE. STAYS OPEN AT NIGHT..FOR DESPERATE PEOPLE TO GET ALL OF THEIR MONEY. SCALE OF 1-10....-10. THEY SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN. I AM REPORTING THEM TO THE MEDICAL BOARD & INSURANCE COMMISSION. RUDE AND COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT NO THANKS.. DOCTORS AND NURSES NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR A REAL HOSPITAL. TELLS THE STORY THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED LONG AGO..MAYBE THEY WERE. Cons: Everything, especially Office Staff and Wait Time. more
