i live in the neighborhood and was interested in checking out the restaurant. i went with a party of three and we were seated quickly. the decor is nice and the hostess was friendly. unfortunately, our evening went downhill from that point. the restaurant is small and the kitchen is exposed, which can be nice, except that you could hear all of the pots and pans banging around. the noise level was also incredibly distracting, as the space does not have much design elements to lessen the noise coming from the table. to add to that, our service was incredibly slow. our waitress forgot about us and i had to ask about our entrees. she told us that they were waiting on the salmon to be finished, which was a bad sign. the food was fine, but nothing spectular. the salmon was cooked well but underdressed. the chicken was incredibly dry and not prepared with the flavorings the menu described. the citrus salad was good, but over-dressed. at the end of our meal, we waited with clean plates for over 15 minutes and had to ask for our waitress in order to get our bill. with a small restaurant with no more than 15 tables and three waitstaff, this was annoying. To add to our evening, the lock on the bathroom did not work and one member of our party was disturbed in the restroom. not recommended for the price.
Pros: location, curb appeal, BYOB
Cons: slow service, boring food, NOISE
