Pig Out! 11/16/2006

The food and atmosphere are great! This is a nice change of pace and everybody should do it at least once a year. It's a bit of a cattle call, but still fun. You'll feel like your on vacation! Bring your appetite because there is a ton of food. Pros: Not your average fare. Cons: Loud and busy. more

OK...not more 11/10/2006

Quite acceptable food in relation to what you pay, but not much more. When reading the reviews on Citysearch one can be led to believe that this is a fantastic place with high quality food. That is not what it is, at least for lunch. But, the prices are very reasonable. Lunch is around $17 and you get what you pay for. Ther salad bar is however not exciting at all and the cheese bread lacks fluffiness and quality. The place in itself is nice though and the sevice staff is very pleasant and helpful. But I can not find any reaon at all to go here, for lunch, unless one has a shortage of money. Fogo De Chao (which is more than twice the price) is very much superior food wise and on a different level. Dinner at Gaucho Village is another thing and I can understand if the place is more of an event then (with music and dancing) but I haven't been here for that. So, I suppose if you are in the neighborrhood and hungry with limited funds, then it is OK. Otherwise, just don't. Pros: Value for money Cons: Not that good more

when you want to eat. And I mean EAT! This is the place to go. An awesome array of meats, hot and cold sides, and the live music really make this Brazilian Churrascaria the place to be. The wait staff is excellent and the feel to this place is so energetic. more

Good band performing throughout the meal, but were lagging on service somewhat. Found myself waiting for more food to come by several times. I'd say it would be better to go to for drinks before or after eating somewhere else. Pros: Ambience Cons: Slow Service more

GREAT food and service 9/13/2006

I use to eat here at least once a week before they moved to their new, larger location over a year ago. Even after moving to a location 5 times the previous size, their service was spectacular! They still treated me well and were prompt in giving me personal attention. The meats are wonderful and the picanha is melt in your mouth flavorful. The owner still greets me with a huge smile as well as the rest of the staff. I was skepticul at first because of the larger restaurant, thinking their quality and service might have declined, but that is not the case. I still get all you can eat and the meat servers are never late in between bringing the different types of meat around. The weekends there are so much fun with the live music and the dancing too. I have to mention that they have the best capirinha cocktail I've ever had! It's like candy! Can't beat this experience. more

Over the weekend, my family went to Gaucho's Village in Glendale to celebrate a birthday. It is always so good! I'm not a huge meat person, but their meats are cooked so well that even I overdue it : ) The band and the dancers are fun to watch too. It's a great place for lively weekend dinner parties and cool casual lunches. I recommend them over and over. Keep it up. Pros: Totally awesome food Cons: none more

I love this restaurant, I've been in many Brazilian restaurants and this one is the most like Brazil food, more home food. The people are very friendly and I always have fun with the waiters and waitress, the drinks are great. I highly recommend this restaurant, and if you go make sure to try the Guarana, caipirinha and deserts. The meat is so good too!!! Big variety. Love it, love it, love it!!!! Pros: afordable, service, food more

I may be a little suspicious raving about this place because I love Brazilian food. I have been to many Brazilian restaurants in the U.S. and have paid hefty prices to satisfy my craving for the famous "Churrasco", but no place will have the right ingredients for the perfect gastronomic experience as Gaucho's Village has. Their salad bar is a complete meal on its own. The meat is well prepared by true artists of the kitchen. They really know how to season to perfection. The friendly waiters also contribute to the pleasant and unique experience. And to top it off, you can't leave this place without having one of their delicious desserts like the "Passion Fruit Moose" (my favorite). Did I say the price is very reasonable? In my opinion, the best value for your money. Well worth the try. Pros: All you can eat, Ambience, Price Cons: Closes at 10pm more

I came to this restaurant 2 or 3 times a week and the staff is like a family to me. The food here is terrific; the salad bar is to die for...and the cheese bread, WOW! The atmosphere is confortable and warm and is a wonderful place for large groups party. I would recommended this restaurant to anyone in LA area looking for something new and exciting. I really love this place. Pros: service, food, atmosphere more

Fantastic authentic Brazilian food, atmosphere, servers, and owner. 8/27/2006

I love this restaurant. The food is great, plentiful, and reasonably priced. The service has always been great. The bar is also wonderful. My co-workers and I love going there for happy hour drinks after work. Everyone there is very friendly, including the owner who is often mingling with the customers. There is also patio seating, which is always a plus. If you want entertainment, there are Brazilian dancers on Friday and Saturday nights. It is also a great place to watch the world cup games, in another four years, especially when Brazil is playing. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. Pros: Great food, great people, great atmosphere Cons: None more

Great Food But the Service Could Improve 8/24/2006

This restaurant has outstanding food. The all you can eat lunch is a good value at $14.95 on weekdays. The meat server was very attentive, but the waiter did not come often enough to remove plates or even fill up the water. However, the staff is very courteous and polite. The yellow chairs are very comfortable, but the tables are a little small. I would go back again Pros: Great Food, Good Value Cons: Servers could more Attentive more

This is a great date restaurant as long as your date enjoys eating meat. The food is good quality, and the atmosphere does take me back to my years in Brasil. The people are very friendly, great service and you really have to meet with the samba dancers. Take a chance of being on the wild side and dance with them, they will teach you how to samba. Great way to take off some of the calories that you are consuming there, and since it is eat all you can, you will be consuming a lot of calories. Overall, it is a good restaurant, the food is good, the ambience is a little noisy, the service is great, and there is no waiting for the meat to get to your plate, unlike a certain Picanhas (that place is a joke) in Burbank. Pros: Good Food, great service, and of course Cons: parking, so use the valet service more

Great cheese bread 6/5/2006

lonediner Provided by Partner
My favorite thing there is the cheese bread, they are round and about 3 inches in diameter. Skip the plain bread that they offer you at the front of the buffet line. There is plenty of good carbs further down such as the cheese bread, rice, and this crumbly sawdust like stuff which is really tasty. Of course, the meat is top notch. I would make sure you don't get filled up on just beef, since there are chicken and sausages that are really good as well. more

My then girlfriend (who is now my wife) and I stumbled upon Gauchos Village just driving by and had lunch there, and the food was the best of the churrascarias in LA that we've had (and we've been to Fogo de Chao). Based upon that lunch, my wife (who is from southern Brazil where this kind of food originates) decided to have GV cater our wedding, and it turned out absolutely incredible. We eat there frequently now. We think it's probably the best quality food and about half the price of Fogo de Chao. more
