I recently went to Gaucho's Village with a party of 10 (we made reservations) to celebrate a friends birthday. BIG MISTAKE. We ate dinner and were looking forward to having a few more drinks, then coffee and desert while we enjoyed the live entertainment. Just when I was about to ask the waiter for the desert menu, he handed me the check and said that we had reached the two hour time limit for our table. He said that we had to give up the table because other people had reservations. Meanwhile, the place was not crowded at all, and there was no one waiting to get in. There was no mention of a two hour time limit on tables when I made the reservations, nor does it say anything about this on their website. Had I known about the time limit, I never would have chosen this restaurant for my friends birthday celebration. The waiter said that if we wanted to order more from the menu, first we had to pay the check, then move to the bar, or go to the outside patio and start a new bill. I was completely flabbergasted! It wasn't like we were just sitting at the table and not ordering anything. We wanted to order more!! As it was, the check was around $500.00, but we were prepared to spend much more than that on on drinks and deserts. Unfortunately, Gaucho's Village never gave us the chance to do that. We were paying customers and we reserved a nice table by the stage so that we could have a great birthday celebration. They expected all of us to get up from the table and go sit outside?! I felt like we were being treated like dogs. To make a long story short, we payed the bill, left Gaucho's Village, and went to another establishment, where we spent our money for the rest of the night. I will never return to Gaucho's Village.
