We walked in and we were introduced To Mr. Rahman. He was very kind and helped us out through the whole thing. we ended up buying a new honda accord exl v6 4dr. He worked very hard to get us this great deal. We will definitely recommend him to other friends. :) more

Visited to get repair for some Honda recalls I got. They need to update some softwares to fix those, until then it was fine, they did it. I came on to road to go back to home and observed some thumping sound from back of car which I never noticed earlier with my car. I came back to them immediately in 5min with the problem of the new sound. I am telling them clearly that there is some new thumping sound coming, they were not agreeing to look at it saying we didn't touch anything other than software update. I agree with that but when I am telling them that I am hearing some new sound now which I didn't hear when I pull the car to this service center. What it means? there is something happened?. They did test ride and agreed that some thumping sound coming. If you want we will check what the sound, it will take a couple hours. You know even after 3 hours they didn't even touch the car from parking lot. After my insistence, they called someone to check it. You know what the problem it was, there was some 'tape bundle' attached to the inner side of tire. Probably it was from their service garage what they tells. It seems how negligent these people in their work and how reluctant to look after the customer complaints. They wasted my 3-4hrs of time waiting over there. Even the service people are not friendly, very rude. I NEVER recommend anyone to visit this Gardenstate Honda service center. more

Garden State Honda treated me with respect and were very down to earth. I shopped online and knew approximately what I wanted to pay for a 2012 Accord so I was prepared when I walked in the door. My salesperson Manny was excellent - I asked him if he had worked in the car service side before becoming a salesperson since he really knew his stuff. When it came time to discuss price, the price I was quoted was lower than what I expected to pay. Nice surprise....but even better was the service after i had the car. I still had a few questions about paperwork and a few lights on the dashboard...again they handled me with respect. Garden State is aggressive with online ads but that is what shows you that they care. more

I'd rather put a needle in my eye than go back here... 1/28/2012

Are you kidding me? Let me start off by saying I've done my homework on the CRV for the past 6 months because I've been WAITING for 2012 to come out. I went here in the beginning of the month to get a quote on the CR-V EX-L 2012. Justine - fabulous salesperson, great demeanor, knows her stuff COLD. However, I left because of a manager who sauntered over to us, asked me why I wanted certain modifications (God forbid I try to negotiate a deal on a car I want), and honestly acted unbelievably arrogant. I left, but had second thoughts despite my father and friends asking me to see other dealerships, because I honestly liked Justine, and if anyone's getting a commission for my car, it's going to be her. I even waited the 24 days for them to get the car today. Granted, I went to get the car mid-day Saturday (today) and it was crazy, but after waiting more than 2 hours to see the finance department, and AFTER SIGNING A CONTRACT FOR A CERTAIN PERCENTAGE RATE, I'm about ready to drive off, another salesperson with a knack for words, comes to Justine, and says, ""finance wants to see you again, don't let them drive off with the car."" Excuse me? Apparently they ""ACCIDENTALLY"" gave us a lower rate than they were supposed to, and were now correcting it by calling different banks for the correct amount. (That's not really my problem, because honestly we went over it when the woman in the finance department went over the details with me for more than a half hour). For the next 20 minutes, not one manager came to us, despite us asking for the manager, and all I had was the one person, Justine, who had nothing to do with that, had to deal with my wrath because of the irresponsibility of another person. Anyway, after rectifying the situation by lowering the actual price of the car (1) after threatening to walk out of the deal and (2) giving them the only option we'd deal with, the finance woman asked the manager WHO FINALLY SHOWED UP what to do to for giving us such a hard time, he replied, ""Well I can offer you 2 oil changes for free..."" What the HELL? I am a damn physician, I don't need your pity oil changes for 50 bucks. Overall: JUSTINE ROCKS...but this place is trying to scam everyone. CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SATISFACTION SUCKS. If I didn't need the damn car, or if I didn't like Justine, I would have never came back. Garden State Honda, you're lucky you have her - because with that reputation, you DO NOT deserve her. more

So Ghetto! 11/28/2011

Paramus Honda was offering a special, but my Mom wanted to stick closer to home so she wanted to give them a chance to match the special promo Paramus Honda was doing. It's impossible to even pull into a parking space and get out of the car before random sales people exit the showroom and pounce on you. I asked if they could match the newspaper special and the sales guy checked with the manager and said yes. After I test drove the car and thought I was leaving with one they decided they couldn't match the special and made all sorts of excuses. On top of that they were rude and completely unprofessional! The salesperson had to jump through hoops to get keys to the car and in the end they didn't have the keys one of the colors I wanted to see. The whole place just seems shady. I'm pissed that they have copies of my license, ss #, and credit report. I asked for it back and they refused. Total waste of my time. There are so many other dealerships, save yourself a huge headache, an argument, and skip this trashy excuse for a car dealership. The only reason they get one star is because this system does not accept a review with zero stars. more

Garden State Liar's Honda 7/1/2011

I was lied to by every person I dealt with at this dealership - all 8 of them. Why you need 8 people involved when I negotiated and practically bought the car over the phone just bewildered me. I called for a Ridgeline and was told it was in stock. Then when I negotiated a price (The Consumer Reports Buying Service Price) I was told the car was not in stock, but a dealer Demo was, which they tried to get me to come see. Then I was told it was in stock. So I confirmed the price, the 0% financing, and that I would not be charged ANY additional fees except taxes and tags. All was set until I got there. I spent 4 hours there and even walked out once - all for a car I thought I had bought over the phone, for the most post. I expected to go in sign a few papers and drive away. I was hit with a higher price by a dishonest manager named Les, who said the person I was dealing with that I was told was the finance manager was just a tele-marketer. That turned out to be not true because when I walked out finance manager, Natasha called me back to give me what I expected. However I was told the price would be $190 higher. When i came back and I was preparing to sign I was told of a $299 documentation fee, which I confirmed earlier I would not have to pay. So Natasha lied to me roo. The whole experience was a nightmare. If it wasn't that I could'nt get exactly what I wanted somewhere else, I would have gone to California before buying from Garden State Liar's Honda. STAY CLEAR OF THE UNSCRUPULOUS PEOPLE! more

I WENT TO GARDEN STATE DURING SOME SALE THEY HAD BACK IN JULY LOOKING FOR A CIVIC. MY BROTHER HAD GOTTEN HIS CAR THERE AND TOLD ME TO TRY THEM SO I DID. THEY HAD A FEW TO CHOOSE FROM WHICH MADE IT EASY FOR US. I LOOKED AROUND FOR A WHILE BUT I HAD MY HEART SET ON A CIVIC. THE PEOPLE I DEALT WITH DAVID AND YONG WERE HELPFUL AND PATIENT WITH US WHILE I WAS TEST DRIVING. I APPRECIATED HOW NICE THEY WERE TO ME AND MY FAMILY. I GOT A 2007 CIVIC FOR A LITTLE OVER $13,000 WHICH IS FAIR FOR THE MILEAGE IT HAD. I FEEL LIKE I MADE A GOOD PURCHASE AND DIDNT SPEND ABOVE THE VALUE SO IM HAPPY. GOOD PLACE. I WOULD RETURN IN THE FUTURE more

Satisfied with GS 8/27/2010

I was told there might be a wait at Garden State Honda because they were always really busy on the weekends but when I got there, someone greeted me right away. It was crowded but they were really well staffed and new when to back off and give space if you know what I mean. I checked them out on line before I went there so I could see there prices and saw a 2007 Acura TL for $22,995. I knew from hours of research so that was the car I wanted. I called to make sure they had it and they said they did but I?ve been told that before by other dealerships so I didn?t get my hopes up but when I got there, they did have that car and they had it brought out before I got there. That?s what I call service. I didn?t have to negotiate or argue with anyone. Great all-around experience. more

Great cars....poor service 3/7/2008

I leased 2 new 2007 Hondas in October 2007. My CRV was fine, but my wifes Civic had a nail in the tire when we picked it up.The salesman said be brought it to service to put air in it. When he came back, the tire was still low.We took delivery of the car, went straight to the off premises service area. After some back and forth with service manager, I finally got a new tire. Its funny how the salesman wasn't around after he just delivered over 50K in vehicles. He must have been out spending his commission check on food, Believe me, he could have missed a meal. Pros: good coffee Cons: everything else more

Beware 2/11/2008

This place has a bunch of slick talkers. I went here to get a nice used car and came out with a nightmare. The would not detail my car for me before I drove it off the lot. My car was not certified I had a lot of problems with it after 2 months. It needed shocks and struts, brakes oil change, new wiper blades etc. I was a women alone trying to buy a car and they took advantage of that. They really are very slick people who does not care about their customers they just care about making their monthly sales. Pros: Waiting Area Cons: Service more
