I LOVE this place!!! There is a world of furniture and home accessories to browse through, you're sure to find exactly what you're looking for! Go to the back of the store first where all the clearance items are, you wont believe the prices, incredible! Several weeks ago I stopped by the furniture connexion showcase in gresham on a whim. I had been looking for furniture to replace my IKEA products and had heard about FC, so I figured why not? having a warehousing background I was immediatly very comfortable with the surroundings. I had been given the name Tom to look for and he was there with a great personality and a wide smile. We gave him the particulars of what it was we were looking for and explained that we were much more at ease if allowed to brouse and take our time. He agreed, letting us know to give him a holler if we found anything. more

Several weeks ago I stopped by the furniture connexion showcase in gresham on a whim. I had been looking for furniture to replace my IKEA products and had heard about FC, so I figured why not? having a warehousing background I was immediatly very comfortable with the surroundings. I had been given the name Tom to look for and he was there with a great personality and a wide smile. We gave him the particulars of what it was we were looking for and explained that we were much more at ease if allowed to brouse and take our time. He agreed, letting us know to give him a holler if we found anything. After searching the entire floor I found what I was looking for and shouted for Tom, the smile soon came jogging down the aisle. I had picked out a couch & loveseat but did not need the chair, so Tom ran off to see what he could do, soon returning with the news that he could sell the 2 pieces without the chair and that he could do them both at the price of the couch alone. I was flabergasted and felt like I had slipped down the rabbit hole. We paid and made arrangements for delivery. Tom was a wonderful suprise and was nothing less than a very helpful, confident, and knowledgeable salesman. On the day of delivery the snows came heavily to my little town and the delivery truck simply couldn't make it up the hill I live on. They stayed in contact however and really made a gallant effort. We ended up setting another day when the snows left. Not only did they show up much earlier than expected, but they had the change over done in mere minutes. It may have taken a few days longer to get here but it was just what we wanted when it got there. Then I realized I needed a coffee table. I had seen one at the showroom that I liked so off we went a week later to see what we could find. We arrived on a monday and the coffee table was still there. Again we were able to deal with Tom who was wearing the same smile we had seen before (and the same positive energy!). We asked if we could purchase it and take it with us. He said that because it was a showroom that we couldn't take it with us. He could tell i'm not the most patient person so he said he would look around to see if he had one laying around that we could take. Again, the answer was no. Then we asked if we could buy it and go down to the warehouse to pick it up. No again, the warehouse being closed on monday. I began to look around for another coffee table that was plentiful enough for me to take one. Tom refused to let me settle and, unknown to me, he called the warehouse and arranged to have someone named Ryan waiting for me. Wow! talk about going above & beyond to assist a customer! Needless to say we purchased the coffee table and went directly to the warehouse and lo and behold, Ryan was waiting outside. He checked our paperwork and placed our coffee table in the truck. I now sit in my Mancave surrounded by very cool cherry colored furniture and one kick-butt coffee table all because of the refusal of a few good people who wouldn't let me settle for less. Go to the big name places if you want to pay more and be treated less properly. The folks at Furniture Connexion (Tom,Ryan & the rest) are down-to-earth folks who are here for the blue-collared rest of us and refuse to let a buyer settle. I thank-them all very much! more

Tony and Tom and Lisa - Yeah! We just bought a wonderful headboard for our client, ordering from a catalog, and it arrived in one week! We are a home staging and redesign business and always bring our clients to Furniture Connexion as our first stop. We've been impressed with their knowledge of the products, and how they make sure we are satisfied with our purchases. When we visit them, they are eager to show us whatever the new products are, even asking our opinion of what we think would be good to offer customers. The prices are good for quality funiture, as well as finding neat furniture in the clearance area, and the accessories are really cool. Oh, and the new rugs? We are a home staging company in Salem, and drive frequently to Portland to buy from Furniture Connexion. We find their selection of stylish furniture great and Tom, the salesperson I work with, bends over backwards for us and for the clients I send their way. They offer several different qualities of furniture - and the salespeople are happy to explain the differences so every buyer will know exactly what they are getting for their money. Our company owns at least a dozen of their sofas, dozens of chairs and lots of table/bedroom sets as well. All of these items have held up just as well as products that have cost me much more at other stores. We have never had any problems with the fabric fading as mentioned in one review. While my furniture is not sat on much, it is moved almost every 60 days which inflicts lots of wear and tear on furniture. The only damage I have ever had was on a table where the stain did not cover an edge fully. I fixed it with a filler pen, but F/C was more than happy to replace it if I wished. My reputation is on the line when we refer our clients to a store, and I happily refer them to Furniture Connexion. They all have been thrilled with their purchases, just as we are. more

Avoid this place at all costs !! Horrible customer service with extra time wasting run around and terrible quality of product in our opinion and experience. Very unhappy former customer. Well after reading some of the other reviews maybe our review will help others into making better decisions on a furniture purchase. We went to this business in search of a couch and armoire. We picked out a couch and armoire and was assured it would be delivered new and on time. The sales gentleman was very nice especially after we handed over almost $2,000 on this day. Delivery day : The couch comes completely unwrapped with no packaging in back of truck. I looked myself. There was no paperwork on couch what so ever. Strange right ? Couch is covered in dust ! Unbelievable, I cannot believe looking back I received this in my house. The delivery fellas bring the couch in and set it on our beautiful wood floor. I will move just a foot or so into position after they leave. No problem. They leave and I push couch into position, look at our gorgeous wood floor an see a 2 foot long very deep scratch into our floor. I lift up one of the legs on the couch and see there is a screw sticking out 1/4 inch from the leg ! I dreadfully call my wife and give her the news, just unreal. Now I start a 45 minute vacuum on couch to try to get the dust/dirt off the micro fiber material which they claim is new. Ya right. Unreal ! I call Furniture connexion and the run around starts. They want pictures which were sent. There was no offer to compensate in any way for the scratch on wood floor from their improperly put together couch. A weeks passes of regular evening use for a few hours a night. The couch cushions start collapsing every time you sent on it. To the point where it is very uncomfortable and you are sitting on frame practically. I am a very athletic fit man 6 feet 210 lbs and my wife much smaller than I. So us being over sized for the couch out of the question. We call them wanting a pick up of the couch and a total refund after pictures sent. FC says we must have couch picked up and delivered to them so their repair man can take a look. Are you kidding me?? Take a look ?? There is nothing to look at the couch is the biggest piece of garbage money can buy and they will not refund money and make the customer happy. Eight months have passed now and we dread sitting on this very cheaply made couch. It is supposed to be our relaxing station not a torture station. Oh and I am sure they will try to answer and rebut and deny my experience on this site but don't believe it. Everything stated is fact and our opinion. Any other business would have refunded the money or made it right not give you the endless run around. Yes we have reported them to the better business bureau as well. This place is an absolute ripp off ! Consider yourself warned. more

gave it a miss 12/30/2010

Based on the results of searches my husband and i did online, as well as a trip to the store, we decided to give this store a miss when buying our new couch and chair this week. The quality of the furniture in person is not that great, and after reading about fading fabric and warrantees not being honored - or being honored only after the customer has to sclhep the stuff all the way back to the store - and then learning from the salesman that the warrantee is only for one year anyway - well, we'll be going elsewhere. There are lots of competitors in town and several of them offer lifetime warrantees and just as good prices - that's where we'll be going. more
