I've had a great experience with FreightCenter and ship with them pretty often for my business. I always use the same cust rep and she's very helpful and responsive. Good prices and lots of options depending on what you're shipping. more

Worst experience ever with a shipping company. They lied about charges, time taken to ship my items and service provided. Cost went up $300, it took 3 weeks not 1 and the furniture was not assembled at delivery. NEVER USE THEM. more

Crooked freight company! 1/30/2012

Crooked business practices!!! I had item shipped. I know what was shipped, and what the equipment weighed, The copmany shipping had it weighed, all Bill Of Lading was correct and in line, shipping was not a problem. But later i get an invoice saying my item weighed over 165 lbs than it did. The package was not that large, so to say it was 165 lb over is obsurd. Beware of WAY overcharges more

Freight Center = Scam! Items 'Missing"", Refund Not Offered 12/13/2011

I used Freight Center to ship a large, industrial mailing machine from Staten Island, NY to Detroit. The service was great until the shipment was picked up. Shipment was not delivered in the guaranteed time and was in fact was lost in transit. Originally paid over $14000 for the machine, which I then sold to Detroit buyer for $6000. Provided all documentation to prove shipment's value. After WEEKS of not hearing anything and trying to get some sort of update, I received a judgement from Freight Center for $35. No one will give me an answer or update as to where to proceed from here, as that amount is absolutely ridiculous. Their contract covers $0.10 for every pound if item is damaged, but says NOTHING about items being lost. I was also charged ""additional fees"", during the time of the ""investigation"" despite the fact that my item has never turned up. I truly believe this is a scam and my item was stolen by someone at the company. more

Freight Center Sucks! 9/9/2011

DO NOT USES THESE GUYS!!! Shipped my stuff Monday, promised to get it to me Friday. Come Friday, stuff is not here yet, and they promised to call me back the next week. I kept calling them every day until the following Friday, with promises made every single day, with no one calling me back. It's Friday a week after it's supposed to be here, and it's still not here! They say my stuff is lost. If you don't want this type of headache, DO NOT CALL THESE GUYS!!! more

I usually don't take the time to write reviews, but after the big help this company was to me on my daughter's shipment, i had to share my experience and recommend them. it was my first time shipping anything big, and I had no clue where to start. They walked me through all the steps to make sure i was doing things and weighing my items right. My agent Sam kept me up to date on where my items were, and everything arrived safely. if you need help shpping something big, i definitely recommend Sam and the folks at Freightcenter more

Took care of my needs and went a step beyond. I forgot to fill in something and I quickly got a call from my rep to complete missing info. I ship freight day in and day out so I have certain expectations. Great rate on my weight and I had no issue with delivery. Smooth process overall. \r more

worst experience with a freight broker ever 1/13/2011

First and last time i use this booking company, I had 3 shipments 3 Bols they decided to combine 2 together after pick up as they were going to the same address. So that made it look like 1 of the bols was overweight. Guess what happed next after they completely messed us a simple order i got charged and additional 370.00 and they tried to pass the blame on to the carrier. There records show only 2 out of 3 of my delivery were ever picked up shipped and delivered yet they charged me an additional 370.00 after 2 months of phone calls and email to there Quality staff i have yet to get the non delivered items shipping refunded. Im sure they have had many satisfied customers but if there is one mistake made by them on paperwork your out the money thats the bottom line. more

Poor Customer Service - Carrier Never Showed - Phone calls t 12/29/2010

Carrier did not show for pick up after a 3 hour wait and multiple phone calls to Freight Center where I was assured that all was as scheduled. Finally got a broker to call the carrier and was told they were not going to show and no guarantee they would show the next day either. Then I placed multiple phone calls and voice mails to original sales broker, his supervisor and customer service - I was left on hold multiple times, left Voice mail that went unanswered and no call backs at all until the following morning. I sent email to cancel the order and when I connected with the original broker the following morning I was told I could only cancel online and that email or voice request would not suffice to cancel. I checked the online cancel and by reading the fine print I found that if I cancelled online I would be agreeing that Freight Center could keep 5% of the order even though the carrier had not showed and the shipment did not actually happen!! - I checked my credit card and found that Freight Center had already debited my credit card for the FULL amount the evening before. I contacted my credit card to dispute - what a mess - HORRIBLY DISAPPOINTED - VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE in my case. more

I must tell you that I was a little skeptical at first to use Freight Center. My 11 year olds company (Guiltless Giving) had yet to use a freight company for shipping and this would be our first experience. It was a Sunday morning when I was searching for a freight company to use and I had a lot of questions. I dialed a few phone numbers and found that most freight companies are not open on Sundays. I’m totally cool with not working on Sunday, yet, I had a lot of questions and needed to ship the following day. The only company that answered their phone on Sunday was Freight Center. Allen, my customer support guru, answered the phone (I hope it’s ok to say his name). He answered every single question I had and them some. He was patient and understanding. He sent me a check list of what I needed to do, where to get pallets, plastic wrap, how to pack items etc. Allen also told me that I could call anytime if I had additional questions. I called back two more times on Sunday. Finally, Monday arrives and our order was ready to ship with two crates & 1500 pounds full of hygiene kits to ship out to homeless Veterans. I emailed Allen our specs, he emailed me 3-4 options on prices, delivery etc. I confirmed via phone and email who I would like to use. By 3pm there was an 18 wheeler at our door to pick up my 11 year olds first freight shipment! Yes indeed, the same day! Then, the anticipation overwhelmed me. What if the boxes get damaged along the way??? Three days later (one day earlier than expected) the shipment was received by our clients. There was one box that was damaged (items in the box were not damaged) out of 40 which to me was nothing short of a miracle. \r \r Both my son and I would recommend Freight Center. The customer service was first class, the process was made easy, the shipment was early and the damaged box was just that, one box. \r \r We will be using Freight Center again! \r \r more

Not that great! 7/16/2010

WOW! Person I was dealing with was not very ""Bright"" kept changin my rates etc.. seemed as if he did not even know how to do his job. it was a BAD experience. Truck never showed up I was forced into calling another service to transport my goods for a trade show THANK GOODNESS they had a VERY great staff who walked me through EVERYTHING FreightCenter wanted me to sign and fax things back and forth when this othre comapny has a great electronical signature program I did not even have to leave my computer and my shipmnet was SMOOTH! I am a frequent shipper and another company has gained my business due to the LACK of customer service and not to mention THE HIGH PRICES! I got my shipment for $800 CHEAPER! FREIGHT CENTER should be ashamed of themselves for the prices they charge! \r Im not going to list the other company on here BUT if anyone WANTS to know I will definatly let them!\r Signed - Unhappy shipper! Pros: not much Cons: lousy customer Svc high pricing more
