A GREAT restaurant. 10/9/2002

I took my date to frascati's on a busy friday night. Had reservations for 9:00. When I got there, only waited for 5 minutes before being seated. We got the best seats in the house, the table on the second floor overlooking the whole restaurant. Beautifull setting, the food was equally good. I had the gnochi and the roast pork. The gnochi was delicious and the roast pork tenderloin was cooked to perfection. I would say I've never tasted such juicy and suculent pork before. The food really made the night and im glad I chose this restaurant to take my date on. The service was equally as impressive. Watch out for parking though. Pros: GREAT Food, Service, Romantic Setting Cons: BAD Parking, BAD Parking, Horrible Parking more

The food here is exceptional. While it's a little on the loud side, the ambience is on the whole quite romantic and well done. Definitely one of the best restaurants I've tried in San Francisco. more

okey dokey gnocchi 6/27/2002

My wife and I had a great dinner last night @ Frascati and I wanted to get this down while I can still taste those wonderful gnocchi in my memory ! We started out with the fluffy - melt in your mouth gnocchi with fava beans, sweet corn and morels. Also we shared a teriffic roasted quail appetizer served over a creamy risotto. They were both washed down with a pretty Central Coast Pinot Noir that our server Jen recomended. The rest of our meal was as splendid as it had begun. We'll be back soon ! Kudos to City Search for this Gem on the Cable Car line. more
