OK, but the don't really care for the women Vet there 4/9/2012

The Kennel service is great and I love the people at the front desk, especially this one straight blonde hair young lady who has a medium sized body frame. She is very friendly and professional on the phone & when you go into the clinic. BUT, I have been very unhappy with the 2 major sedations we have paid for that cost us well over $600-1000 each time. Our beautiful dog has had ear problems since he was a puppy (now he is almost 11 years old). We moved from Georgetown to Round Rock. We live in Lake Forest so this animal hospital is very close & convenient for us. I like the male vet there, but the female vet never seems to do what she says she is going to do. The first time it happened I thought, "Well....it was an oversight, but how could she not think I wouldn't want the deep inside of my dog's ears cleaned & just want the outside of his ears cleaned. I could of cleaned the inside of his ears myself with the expensive ear solution I purchased. We paid to sedate him because she said he would have the inner part of his ears cleaned." When we picked him up & I got him home I noticed his ears still looked dirty inside. When I called her a few days later she said, "OH, I didn't realize you wanted us to clean the inside of his ears." Are you kidding me???? I paid to have him sedated so you could thoroughly clean his ears so his ears would have a better chance at draining better. Pros: null Cons: null more

WONDERFUL CARE HERE FOR YOUR FOUR-LEGGED CHILDREN! 9/9/2011

Having moved from Dallas to Round Rock, we took our min pins in for a wellness check. Dr. Breclaw found a small bump on our oldest min pin's ear and did a test and within minutes found out this innocent looking lump/bump was a form of cancer. BRAVO, Dr. Breclaw for pursuing this! And, she scheduled our puppy for surgery the next day. Not only that, but my fiancee wasn't able to be at the bets that day and Dr. Breclaw gave me her cell phone for my fiancee to reach after hours! WHAT A GREAT DOCTOR! I cannot praise Dr. Breclaw enough for her thoroughness, her knowledge and her sincere concern! We highly recommend Dr. Breclaw and will vouch for her professionalism and human touch to all asking! She has probably saved our "four-legged child's" life! We think she is AMAZING! more

Care at Forest Creek Animal Hospital 4/5/2011

I wanted to address those who were not happy with the care here. First, a dog is supposed to have their teeth cleaned and checked yearly. We do it every two years. more

We know and believe they are dog spelled backward to animals 3/3/2011

Justina was acceptional lovely on our first point of contact when I called to make the appointment at 7:48am and when I arrived at the office for my 9:30am appointment. I know she cared and was very empathetic to towards our baby who was gravely ill from having an major ailment with keeping anything down food or liquid wise since Monday and today being Friday. We left her to the vet and the staff to use their medical knowledge and technology to render a remedy to resolve her health issue to make her whole again. more

They are cruel-don't care if your dog is dying. 2/16/2011

My dog has brain cancer and has several months to live. We wanted her to live the rest of her life in comfort. They said she had broken teeth in the back of her jaw probably from seizures so we made an appointment to have them extracted so she won't be in pain. We dropped her off at 8AM. They called at 4PM and said they have not done the surgery yet. WHAT??? She's dying and she was locked up in a crate all day FOR HOURS and they did not call us until 4PM????? Our purpose was to make her comfortable and happy for the rest of her life. If they are too busy to do the surgery-call me and I will take her home so she can be happy with us without being locked up in a tiny crate for 8 hours! Will never go there again! They have NO sympathy for dogs dying. more

Cars and dogs can't be treated the same 12/23/2010

An exam is $36, and has been for at least 5 yrs. A recheck or vaccine appointment is $25. If your dog is 12 and has never had his teeth cleaned, he probably needs to. And $250 isn't a lot to pay for labwork, fluids, and medications, which they require because that is the standard of care for the industry. They have to get paid to maintain the equipment and staff needed. They have a higher quality of care than most clinics. If your pet is getting refill after refill of the same medications, perhaps they need to look at your pet again to see if there shouldn't be a different medical course taken. more

LIKE A BAD CAR MECHANIC, MILK YOU FOR EVERY LAST DIME 11/28/2010

Like a bad car mechanic, you walk in with an issue/non issue and walk out with more issues and less money. Its ridiculous that every time we go in our vet exam charges increases with every visit. Starting off at $25 its now over $58, just for the exam! more

Exceptional care! Very warm and friendly! 7/20/2010

Our first wexperience with Forest Creek Animal Hospital was one week after we moved to Austin. Our Basset Hound (Winston) suddenly became very ill. I had seen this office around the corner from where we were renting, and when my husband read the reviews, we rushed Winston there. The staff was very warm and caring. Dr. Kunze was fabulous! After a very thorough examination including an ultrasound, it was determined that Winston needed surgery immediately. Dr. Kunze performed the surgery. She and some staff stayed until after 9:30 pm on a Friday night, caring for Winston. They saved Winston's life! The surgery revealed a very large tumor on the intestine that turned out to be malignant. Winston is now undergoing chemo treatments, and doing well. We are so grateful to Dr. Kunze and all of the staff at Forest Creek Animal Hospital for all they did! We know our time with Winston is limited, but are thankful for every day we have! We are moving south of this area, but will always c more

Honesty, Empathy, Compassionate, Professional, and Recommended 7/1/2009

Dr. Peck and staff are the most honest and cordial staff I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Our experience can only be described as outstanding. The staff is genuine, caring, kind, professional, honest, and are the best in communicating with their customers. They go beyond their duty, following up and returning phone calls, and often call just to check up on the progress of the pet being treated. \r \r Highly recommended. I am confident your experience with Forest Creek Animal Hospital will be one that will instill confidence and bring you peace of mind in knowing you are getting great care for those you love most, your pets. more

Forest Creek Animal Hospital is terrific. 6/22/2009

We've had nothing but positive interactions with this veterinary office. Dr. Peck helped us when our small dog threw out his back. He didn't over prescribe and I have never felt pressured into getting any extra treatments. Our dog may not like going to the vet but he has always been treated with love and affection. We also use the groomers and have had positive results. more

Always Good and compassinate 6/18/2008

Dr. Peck and ALL the vets are great with animals !\r We have been going to them for 10 years and I think they had just opened.\r \r Dr. Peck had to put down my great friend, cairn terrier, Rowdy and he was so wonderful. He waited for my husband, son, and friend to get there. He gave us time alone with her and I held her while he was giving the injection. He gave her Valium before so she would be calm. Several days later, we got a sympathy card with all the staffs name on it. I have cremated all my pets and they arranged that, and morbid as it may seem, I have all my pets that have passed away with me, with me. We were in the military and oversees and they don't allow pets to be buried, so that is when I first started cremating my pets. Otherwise, they would have been put in a trashcan and thrown away.\r \r As far as cost, he is very reasonable and he will not do any add ons and will tell you when something is not needed.\r \r He told me about rescue animal websites and area contacts wh more

Dr. Peck is great!!! 9/3/2007

We have 4 dogs and he has taken great care of every one of them. I have always been impressed with his honest and well explained answers. I never feel like I am being "taken for a ride", when I take my dogs to his clinic. I am a healthcare provider and fell that his medical interventions have always been well warranted. more

Excellent Vet 8/10/2007

Amy is a great vet. I highly recommend Forest Creek Animal Hospital. She diagnosed my dog with lymphoma (a rapid cancer that is terminal). She was very honest, straightforward, and knowledgeable. Amy was extremely sensitive and described the options I have. She returned my phone call on her day off...this kept me from waiting for the final results of the blood test. \r I am very picky and on a tight budget and they were willing to work with me on this.\r In the next month or so, I will need to put my baby to sleep and I will bring her to this clinic for the best care possible. more

Dr. Peck's a reliever 7/21/2007

Moved to Austin from CA with two new pups. Needed a good vet. Found a great one. The whole staff is very pleasant & helpful. Would recommend to all! Dr. Peck will ease your mind of any type of questions. more

Caring and Compassionate - The Best! 7/9/2007

One of our cats Grady developed lymphoma and had to be put down. They were the most caring and compassionate group of people during a very difficult experience. They even sent a sympathy card a few days later. Their fees are priced very fairly and they are very efficient. I would highly recommend this office. more

Excellent with small dogs!!! 5/2/2006

These guys are great! They have not only one of the cleanest clinics I have been to, but a full staff who is very friendly and helpful.\r \r I was not only impressed with their knowledge but the genuine caring for my pet. They were very fair with the pricing and I was happy with their services! PROS: Great Vet and Pricing! CONS: more

Great Vets and Friendly Staff 11/5/2005

Most animals are scared to go to the vet, ours are thrilled! The vets and staff are friendly and helpful. The best part is they have a play area for our kids to use when waiting for the animals to be seen by the vet. What a great idea! Our last vet didn't do this and I've never heard of this before. Their pricing is comparable for shots and surgeries as the other vets office we have visited. Office is very clean and organized. PROS: Play Area for the Kids, Friendly Staff CONS: more
