First off the Floorgem Services did a great job. The floors are perfect. Any little thing that I noticed like some stain on the spindles or a piece of trim missing on the stairway they fixed. My husband passed away in the middle of their services but they were flexible to finish the job after the funereal proceedings. P.B. Duncan more

I hired Floorgem based upon multiple recommendations from a neighborhood listserve. Their intake process was smooth, the estimate prompt and clear, and the price was more than competitive. Floorgem employees always showed up when expected, often early, and worked hard with no goofing off. My floors look spectacular and are well installed, even a problem area that must have been a complete pain in the neck for them. A note about the materials: the arrangement is that the client pays for the materials online and Floorgem picks up and delivers them. It's unusual, but ensures that the client doesn't suffer a markup on the materials so I liked it. There were a couple of blips: a mixup on the ordering, but the problem was identified, promptly disclosed, and promptly resolved. Also, because I was installing additional flooring in a home with existing flooring, I wanted to have the new flooring match as closely as possible. I'm not an expert in that field, and the crew wanted my opinion on it rather than matching it themselves. The color I chose looked exact for the first day, but then darkened up a bit so the floors no longer match. So, my only recommendation for the company is that their crews have a better ability to do such matching. more

I bought a new floor in my family room, Brazilian Cherry, and Floorgem came down and put down my floor beautifully. I have a vinyl kitchen floor and they've been out here at least a couple of times to strip the floor down bare and built it back up with wax and it looks brand new. I've had a very good experience with them. When I call Ken, he comes out, measures the floor, and when he told me where I can get wood, I did what he said, called him when I got it, and he sent people out to do the job. He then came back out after they were done to inspect it. He did the same thing for my kitchen. When comes back, he doesn't collect until he inspects the work and talks to you. Mary Crosby more
