Five Stars on Google = too good to be true. 7/11/2011

I thought with such a high rating this would be a trusted dealership to purchase a vehicle from. Two months after purchasing a vehicle, I took the vehicle into a reputable dealership here in Madison (Zimbrick) to have a light bulb replaced and I learned that the vehicle's valve cover gasket is leaking, the power steering pump is leaking, the coolant is low, the front coil springs are snapped, the bearings need to be replaced, the tail lights need to be replaced and the 90,000 mile service has not been completed (by signs of the filters). I understand a few repairs may pop up after purchasing a pre-owned vehicle but with this many issues it seems like the vehicle was never even inspected. I expected with a Ford franchise involved, the dealership would have a higher standard for inspecting pre owned vehicles. I have purchased 25+ pre owned vehicles in my life and have never purchased a vehicle with so many issues. I’d advise an inspection of any used car before you purchase a vehicle from this dealership. more

A trust worthy place for "us" seniors 4/21/2011

I just drove home in my new/used car and what a thrill for me. Meeting you and your Finnin/Kia Family has indeed been a pleasure, plus a learning experience for me. It's hard to buy a car when you are over 70 and not up on the latest car advances and technical issues however, your patience in educating me and spending the better part of this week finding a fit for my wants and needs has been outstanding. When I signed my final papers and you took me to the service department to introduce me to the service people, I knew I was in good hands and my future car service needs would be taken care of. What? they will even come to my house and get my car? Fantastic!! Another "special" part of the Finnin Family car experience. A trust worthy place for "us" seniors. Thanks again April. more

Darned good customer service 4/13/2011

I thought I would take the time to pass on a piece of positive information on your staff. First, I am 71 years old and have been in a number of car lots in my time. I was employed for many years by DB&T and taught customer service is always foremost, by some of the best. All that aside, I have been looking for a few weeks to trade cars. I have been to all the car dealerships and lots here in Dubuque and surrounding area. The ONLY lot where someone came out of the showroom and came up to my car to see if they could help me was your staff at the Kia Dealership. Most all the others, just stood inside the showroom window and waited until I got out of MY car and came to THEM. Today, April, walked all the way to the end of the lot to greet myself and my grandson and see if she could help us. This is a big deal Mike!! She showed she cared, and I did remember her from years ago when Darlene Phillips used to babysit your children. Yesterday, Nathan, got in the car with me, upon my request and drove around the lot and answered all of my questions, although I am sure some were pretty stupid, he knew the answers and was more than patient with my lack of car knowledge. Who ever is responsible for the training of the staff, should get a high five and as for April, I can say she sure would have made you and Sharon very proud. Whether I get a new car or not, this experience today has restored my faith that there still is some darned good customer service people out there. more
