Best

not only do you get to watch the sox play in the summer, we got to watch the bruins play in the winter , not a bad deal. hockey and baseball combined what more could i ask for.....

Worst

No doubt about it, We need a new park. Fenway is nice to visit if your a tourist, but if you frequent enough games during the season, the comfort level drops really quick. Build o...

Fun but cramped 11/5/2002

Going to Fenway is a great experience and I recommend it. However, be prepared to be uncomfortable. The seats are hard and small. Oh...and the food is extremely expensive. I don't knwo what its like since they've shut off Yawky Way either. Pros: Yawky Way, Fun Cons: uncomfortable more

fenway is a legend in every respect. 10/29/2002

As far as fenway goes. I have to say it is the greatest relic we have in boston and one of the greatest parks in the USA. I never appreciated fenway until I left to go to school in minnesota. I live right off beacon street, ( so close I would jog past it once a week) It was always there, like a blanket or something comforting. Granted, we havent won a world series since 1918, still, Boston has the MOST spirited fans baseball has ever seen. If you go to fenway during any game, I garauntee you will see the crowd that will live and die for the team and that park. When they start playing sweet caroline or boston youre my home, people get up and dance. To those who arent native bostonians, they see fenway as a wonderful, magical, piece of history...in three words: I love it Pros: classic, spirited, fun more

Better Off Far Away From Fenway 9/29/2002

If you feel like paying 10 times the price for parking, pushing your way through thousands of drunks die-hard baseball fans, paying ridiculous prices for crappy food that you wait 20 minutes in line for all to sit back in your tin seat covered in sode to squint at the field from a far, fall asleep from bordom, haul out of the park with even drunker fools, uncanny traffic and a headache, then yeah, go ahead....go to Fenway. But only if you feel like it. more

This place sucks 9/23/2002

I went to my first game at that dump in 1963 and it was outdated then. In my life I've been to ten other major league venues and every one of them has something better than Fenway. That place is vastly overrated. It must have at least a dozen good seats and in some of them you can actually see the entire playing field. If the Red Sox are ever serious about trying to win the World Series they should raize that House of Horrors and build a great stadium like Camden Yards. Only then can they stop putting together teams that couldn't win the championship in 1956 Pros: Yankees win there, Bucky Dent, That's enough Cons: Left field wall, Bucky Dent, That's enough more

Fenway, or the highway 9/9/2002

This is God's ballpark. Don't dare judge the importance and enjoyment of this ballpark by CitySearch's ratings...they've asked for Seat Comfort, Sight Lines, Concessions, & Parking -- important things for your sofa, not the love of the game and the history. Its like judging the Pru on 'windiness' or the Governor on 'her hairdo.' Just plain inappropriate. Pros: Enjoyable, Historic, Sense of Place Cons: 2 Close 2 Yankee Stad more
