Farrell Smyth, Inc. has been our property manager for many years. The company has always been taking good care of our property and making monthly deposits timely. We recently decided to sell the property, so Larry Smyth, the owner, became our listing agent. Larry is very professional and has great knowledge of San Luis Obispo area. He understands the market and sets the perfect pricing for us. He makes the entire transaction smoothly. If we ever buy another property in San Luis Obispo, we will definitely work with Larry and his company again. more

Beware of Farrell Smyth, they are writing false reviews. If you look, there is all these reviews with cloned comments on other businesses as they hired a company to write false information with phoney customers, phoney customers comments and names that don't exist. It is terrible that Farrell Smyth of San Luis Obispo is doing this by lying to people on making this type of business with false information. Take note and see all the phoney positive comments and how it is so obvious. more

Was scammed and cheated from Farrell Smyth – Out of the 3 property managers I have worked with, Farrell Smyth is the worst property management there is. They have a large amount of rentals, many of which are in good locations for Cal Poly students. But be aware: they will charge you for the most ridiculous things they can.\r \r I moved out from my place last year and had fraudulent charges for cleaning services THEY NEVER DID! The new tenants moved in early and there was never even a time for them to do cleaning, yet they charged me more than $100 for it. Another charge appeared for ""cleaning patio debris,"" which, once again, THEY DIDN'T DO\r \r Over the summer my roommate and I were not living in SLO. We sent a rent check in for the first month of our new lease (my mistake was dealing with them for another year), and thought we were good. Our neighbor called us to tell us there was a 3 day eviction notice on our door (which they charged us for). Rather than thinking that students may be gone for summer and a phone call would solve the problem immediately, posting an eviction notice was their solution. What a great way to charge another $30...\r \r And most recently, after 6 weeks without receiving a security deposit check from last year's lease, I called them to see what the problem was. They said they had sent the check and that it was my responsibility to find it. I checked with the post office, who said the check would have been returned to the sender if it hadn't gone through. I called FS to let them know of this. Their answer: if you want you're deposit back we're gonna charge you $20 to send another check. HOW IS THAT MY FAULT?!\r \r Bottom line: Farrell Smyth is run by a bunch of unprofessionals that will scheme you who would not be in business if they didn't screw over college students for miscellaneous charges. If you think I'm just an exaggerating student there's another 7 students in my complex who could say the same thing. more

WARNING Fake Reviews below: Farrell Smyth Property Management and real estate has been writing their own reviews themselves on all their business directories from Google Local listings, City Search listings, Insider Pages, Yellowpages, Superpages, Judysbook and a whole lot more sites they will write fake reviews on. Farrell Smyth property management is scamming people and this is wrong by writing reviews that never happened and customers that don’t even exist, that is bad enough to push down negative reviews and not fix the problems they have done to their own tenants, you can search online where there are complaints about them which they should of went back and tried to make those tenants happy but no; what is there solution? Write as many false comments right down below which they continue to do by lying to people. It is bad business to write fake reviews people; it is just dishonest and disgraceful what they are doing.
