Having heard a variety of horror stories in regard to contractor performance in general, we were surprised and delighted upon experiencing exposure to Family Air. Their management is friendly, knowledgeable, down-to-earth, and fully committed to developing and providing a system to satisfy all requirements at minimum cost. Their workmen are highly competent, quiet, energetic, and dedicated to quality and satisfaction. They were very considerate of us and of the cleanliness of their worksites. They cooperated with each other and with us in producing an outstanding installation. Even the HERS inspector put in writing his opinion that they had done " a beautiful job". more

Family Air was highly recommended by a friend, and Jerry and company more than lived up to the recommendation. Jerry came up with a cost effective equipment plan that addressed our wants, needs, and concerns, explained it thouroughly, answering all of our questions patiently and completely. The polite and thouroghly professional crew got the work done quickly and efficiently, with a final cleanup that left almost no trace that they had been in, other than an excellent new furnace and AC. Even the city building inspector, during his final inspection, remarked at the quality of work he has always seen on Family Air projects. We are tremendously pleased with the result. more

Like anyone in the position of needing a new heater/air conditioner, I started getting estimates. After getting 6 estimates and being more confused than when I started,I took a friends advice and got 1 more estimate. I sat down with Jerry Sr. and got an honest,no pressure education on H/AC. I found out that other estimates included costly bells and whistles that I just didn't need. Jerry's estimate was clear cut and spelled out exactly what I was going to get and what to expect. I was kept informed every step of the way. The workmanship was well done and professional. The installation would have been flawless if mother nature had cooperated with us, however, it rained which delayed the installation. Family Air, Jerry Sr. and the entire team are true to their word and delivered exactly what they said they would. We are now cool during the heat wavesand toasty during the big chills. These are the second and third systems installed by Family Air in our house. Our first whole house system was done on a remodel and was installed to MY high standard. It has performed flawlessly for many years. We recently had Jerry and his crew install 2 Split systems to replace wall heaters and a window A/C unit in 2 remote parts of the house. His pricing was competitive. But more importantly, the install was done correctly, on time and we had no cleanup to do after his crew left. I would recommend Family Air to anyone. more

From the first interview (with Jerry Sr.) to the payment, Family Air was a pleasure to work with. They were not only very thorough in explaining each process and need for equipment but my biggest thing was honesty. I had previously interviewed 7 other HVAC companies and got price ranges of $9k- $19k, why I have no idea, and unit options that were overboard (trying to upsell). Family Air explained in detail the reason for each piece and size of equipment as well as ducting! The install guys were great as well, never left a mess and very pleasant to talk with if I had questions. All of my family members have been using Family Air for years and have never had a problem, so it only made sense. We have recommended Family Air to a few other friends since and they have been pleased with their service as well. Since install it has been approximately 2 months, we have used our AC a number of times and are now starting to use our heater and we are very pleased. The outdoor unit is extremely quiet and we had them move the unit from a hall closet to up in the attic. It is very efficient and we have even seen our electric bill go down!!! The condo is a rental and to have someone willing to take full charge of the not only the work of removing the existing and installing new heating and A/C unit but, to coordinate with the asbestos contractor, my tenant, the Condo Association office, meeting their requirements, as well as the city inspector. You took a load off of me when I needed it most. You might remember, I lost my wife to cancer on the 15th and the job was scheduled to start and did because of you, on the 17th of October. My experience with your company can be described in one word, professional. It started with the lady answering my call to the inspector that came out to give his final approval. You have a good team. They're great. It was a big job, and Family Air were the only ones that would tackle it. They gave me a price and seemed to know more about what they were doing than the other companies I talked to. They were great. I had some other people come out, and it seemed like they just didn't want to do the job. I think they wanted a job that they could handle quickly to make money fast. They're excellent. Overall, the experience was very good. They were very nice, friendly people, who worked hard and did an excellent job on the installation. I only have one negative, and it's that the heating and air equipment makes too much noise. If I would have known that, I would have probably put it in the garage. We have been using Family Air for years and Jerry is an incredible find. Several years ago, he came out to work on a dead unit and got me back up and running for under $200. When I asked him about replacing the unit, he told me that I could if I wanted to, but it was absolutely not cost effective and to wait for a while. When my unit went down again this time, Jerry came out on a Saturday, diagnosed it and had me up and running by Monday morning again for under $200. What price is honesty worth? more

Long review, but I have so much good to say about Family Air! I have had dealings with them on three occasions. First, when I needed to replace my 25 year old furnace and they were able to recommend a unit that was exactly what I needed and at a discounted price! The installation went smoothly, and the guys that put it in treated my home with great care - were very polite and courteous. Second, when I felt the airflow noise of my new unit was too much for my small condo, they came right back out and installed a different type of vent that fixed the noise issue and didn't even charge me for labor to do it! Lastly, when I blew a fuse in the furnace unit while installing a new thermostat (dummy me for not unplugging the unit first), Jerry Sr. talked me through how to fix the problem over the phone, even allowing me to call him back after I had to run to the store to buy new fuses....saving me a service call! You rarely find a company these days that provides the exceptional service that Family Air does. I think the word "family" in their busines name is referring to the company being family owned...but in my experience I see it that they treat their customers like "family" and go out of their way to provide service that is top-notch.
