Best

I have been eating here off and on for years. This place has the best food ever!! They make their own bread crumbs fresh! The jagerschnitzel is the best I've had since I was in...

Worst

I took my family here because I had bought a Groupon and love German food, had heard good things about the place, so thought I would try it. Called ahead to make sure we could use...

Authentic Eastern European Food! 9/27/2006

My wife and I are German, so we know real German and Hungarian Food. And I have to tell you this is the real deal. We both started with the Fried Cauliflowers for appetizers, which were crispy and delicious, followed by a cup of the Gulyas Soup that tasted just like my own mom would make it. My wife then had the Jaegerschnitzel with Spaetzle, and I treated myself to the Roasted Duck with Potatoes. Both dishes tasted delicious and authentic, and the portions were very generous. As a finishing touch we indulged on the freshly baked Apple Strudel with Vanilla Ice Cream. The service was exceptional and very knowledgeable. We spent $90 for the two of us, which is reasonable for the amount and quality of food, and the service we received. We will definitely go back. Pros: Great Food, Great Service. Great for any occasion. more

The best dining experience in the area!! 9/15/2006

If you are looking for an amazing dining experience, look no further. The food is exquisite and authentic to the regions they showcase. Come expecting to spend some time enjoying your meal, they really do cook the entree when you order it. The most popular dish is jaeger schnitzel and was wonderful accompanied with their homemade spatzle. Their wine list is varied and delightful and their selection of imported beer is a must see. Anni is a lovely hostess who is attentive to her customers and makes wonderful reccommendations; take her up on something and you won't be dissappointed. You must have everything from appetizers to dessert, nothing can compare to these dishes. Rounding out the wonderful atmosphere is their pianist who plays throughout the evening on Friday and Saturday. Cost can range for a meal from modest to expensive. For $90/2 people we had 2 glasses of wine, a bottle of beer, 2 orders of jaeger schnitzel, appetizers, soups, salad, and desserts. We would have spent that much at Texas Road House and not batted an eye, so don't let the cost keep you away. Check out their website and come visit them in Pflugerville. You won't be disappointed!!! Thank you Anni and all of the staff at European Bistro, it made a lovely 10th anniversary dinner and your restaurant has become our new favorite place to eat! Jake and Amy Pros: Too many to list! Great food, great service, wonderful pianist!! Cons: It's in old downtown Pflugerville, so parking gets tricky, but a block to walk is no big deal. more

Very close! 8/17/2006

I'm new to this city. I really wanted to find places that are close to home. The food in this restaurant was very good! Very close to what you have in a restaurant in mid-Europe. They even had some Hungarian wine. The place was nice too. We liked it very much! more

Most authentic and best served bistro ever !!!! 8/6/2006

This place is amazing!! I thought I stepped into Berlin itself when I walked in the door! I was referrred to this wonderful resturant by friends and family who also accomponied me. We were promptly greeted at the door and seated. My experiance was amazing! I loved the food and was truely taken care of as a customer. The most genuine care and concern for customers well being was greatly appreciated. The food can not even be described in words. It is a must see and taste for yourself. The food is made fresh to order and all by hand. You have to appreciate the amount of work and preperation it takes to make one dish. Yes it may take a little longer but it is worth it. This is not a place to come rush in and out of. Come have a seat and enjoy a great meal. The owner and operator is from over seas and is makin a life out of this buisness and puts her heart into it. Once again it is the best service and food I've had in the state. Pros: Food and service Cons: parking more

Friendlies Servers I have ever had 6/15/2006

My wife and I, along with my brother and his girlfriend tried it out for the first time about 5 months ago. The servers where absolutly the very best I have ever had. We had never eaten most of the items on the menue and our waiter took his time to explain to us what everything was and what would make a great dining experience. We had several appatizers and we all tried something different. I was lucky enough to have gotten the Jagershnitzel. It was huge with a perfectly seasoned muchroom sauce. By then end of the night my wife and I decided that we would have our 1st wedding annaversery there. That was an even better experience for us. They had sitting in our own romantic room with antique dishes and silverware along with roses, wine and a ribbon that stated it was our 1st anniversary. I highly recomend this place to everyone. Pros: Best service EVER had! Cons: a little pricey more

A must-try, authentic experience 7/4/2005

This restaurant is off the beaten path, but well worth visiting (as numerous newspaper articles and reviews have already pointed out). They don't server hot dogs, pizza, or hoagies, ok? You can get those things anywhere. What they serve is delicious, authentic eastern european food. My wife and I recently took my mom there and she said it was the best food she had eaten. To put that in context: my mom is German, born and raised. You don't have to go there for a special occassion (you can walk in off the street for lunch or dinner), but they do have special booths set up for couples and it is a great place for an anniversary dinner or other special occassion. That have other special arrangements for larger groups as well, so don't be shy about bringing your friends along with you. Pros: Great atmosphere, Authentic food, Friendly proprietors Cons: Hard to find more

My husband and I have been going to European Bistro for years. We loved it so much that when we got engaged we couldn't think of a better place to have our rehearsal dinner. Anie and her staff are the most helpful and welcoming people around. This is the perfect place for a date. The food is always perfect! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. In the winter, make sure you order the Gluwein! Pros: Wine/Beer Variety, Service, Atmosphere more

Owner Message
  • At European bistro we offer you, not only food, but history, culture and tradition that built the tall columns of the European panache. We offer you everything- from spicy Hungarian food to creamy Russian soups, from Austrian pastries to German austerity and dishes from several countries. You order a platter and a wine of your choice and we would throw in some traditional live music to make it a perfect lunch or dinner for you.
