Although the office in Valencia is brand new, the staff was unfriendly and terse. Dr. Elie recommended a partial crown that had to be fitted 3 times. After the final fitting, he failed to check for high spots.\r \r When I complained about the improper fitting, I waited for 4 hours for him to return and complete the work. In total, I spent 5 hours with cleaning.\r \r I do not recommend Dr. Arash Elie for any dental work. He did not spend time on the consult and dental crown fitting. Avoid. more

I want to make it very clear that I am only writing regarding the office off of McBean Pkwy, NOT the Old Road where my regular dentist is. I got to the office like 5 minutes late, so I was worried that would put me behind. Come to find out I could've arrived 2 hours later and still wouldn't have been seen! I had to fill out some paper work, which is fine. But, I wasn't called into the office for almost 40 minutes. Then, once I was in the room, it was another 15-20 minutes for someone to realize I needed X-rays and impressions. Then I waited a while to be numbed. Once Dr. Soleheim (or however you spell it) came in to finally numb me, I thought we were getting the ball rolling. It was 12:30 at this point, my appointment was for 11:00. I know because I have the texts I sent my fiance'. At 1:07, yes 2 hours later, they still hadn't started! I found out that he and Dr. Yuen went to lunch!!! Can you believe it?? Absolutely amazing service! I spent a fortune to get Lumineers done and Dr. Karabell did them for me. He is awesome. I liked my former dentist there, Dr. Parks. He moved to another location. I was disappointed to see him go so I gave Dr. Karabell a hard time. He is so nice and efficient. He takes his time and does a really good job. Now it's like, "Who the heck is Dr. Parks?" I really like Dr. Karabell and I am recommending him to everyone. I hate the dentist and he makes the experience pleasant and actually something to look forward to. I have never found a dentist to call "my own" and I know that I have found that with Dr. Karabell. Highly recommended. more

I find it interesting that all the negative reviews I read about this place and the one I recently posted is now gone. Hmmm. Hopefully the ones they left on will be enough to discourage more people from patronizing this place. They are total rip offs. more

After reading these reviews I guess nothing has changed I used to go to this crappy dental office for 3 years while I had braces. I loved the orthodontist. He was only there 2 days a week and I'm sure he's retired, this was 5 years ago and he was in his 70's.However the dental practice is a joke. I intially went there because it was on my insurance list, and I realized after several treatments, the wait was outrageous, I had a different dentist everytime and each one was fresh out of dental school. One time I had a dentist who was called in from a temp agency! He did a filling for me and didn't numb me completely he kept saying he was in a hurry to get back home to san diego! He left my mouth so sore! I never complained because I was young and didn't know any better. i was really scared to go to the this dentists after reading all of the rewiew but i told my self i should give them a change and i did and after i got there it was a different story what this people are saying is wrong i had the best denstistry that i could ever had i did wait a little bit but everybody was really nice and everybody look really happy and outgoing. Everybody was very nice, the day i when dr had a emergency so one of the girl came in and told me that i had to wait a little time so in the time i wait they put a movie on . i could belived they made me feal like i was part of the fam. i really recomend this valencia dental group more

very disappointing, i was there last week, and it was a big chaos, everyone didnt know what they were doing, everytime i asked a question regarding my treatment presented the lady would go into a glass office and they would laugh and then come back to me and say the same thing i had just asked more information about, when i asked who the supervisor was they said Soraya the lady in the glass office ofcourse. I would not go back there even if they gave me the treatment for free. be careful they are disorganized and VERY RUDE!!!! i should have listened to my friends who warned me about this office. I was there last week, and GEEZ! all these people complaining are crazy! Yes, there was a little wait, but they were really prompt by letting me know as soonest i walked in. They kept checking on me to see if i was okay and giving me updates on how long it was going to take, once i was inside the assistant taking my xrays was really gentle and fast, the wait for the doctor was minimal, once he came in he also apologized for the wait, and asked me if there was anything bothering me or if i was in pain. We did the exam together, since they have the xrays right in front of you on the screen, he explained everything to my understanding and recommended some treatment, when the "money lady" came in she explained to me what my insurance covered and what was elective (cosmetic), i didn't feel any pressure on needing to do the upgrades, but at least they gave me my options. My experience was really good, better than the last ones i have at OTHER dental offices. I would DEFINITELY recommend this more

I am a person that usually hates going to the dentist because of bad experiences from previous dentists. I was recommended to go to Valencia Dental for a terrible tooth pain that i had for a few months. I was in pain during the weekend, i called their office and the call center was able to get my information for the dentist to call me. On Monday they were able to accommodate me in their schedule. I saw Dr Elie and i was really impressed with all the technology they had, which i had never seen at any other place before. He was able to explain all the procedures that were needed with the visual aid of a computer screen with several pictures of my own teeth. I actually had the choice of different quality crowns to choose from and they even had samples for me to see the different quality they offer. The staff was really friendly, provided personal service which made me feel comfortable throughout the whole procedure. I would recommend this office to anyone who is looking for a good experie more

I was a little skeptical to go here in the 1st place having been told by multiple coworkers of mine that they are big into over-charging, making recommendations for unnecessay treatment and up-selling treatments that are a necessity but since I just had to go in for a regular cleaning that was covered 100% by my insurance I wasn't too worried. WOW! Big mistake! I was told be the dentist that a "regular cleaning" would not be beneficial to me and that I needed a "deep cleaning and gum therapy" to the tune of over $700.00. When I declined the treatment and again asked for the regular cleaning that I had come in for I was told that it would be "a waste of time for everyone involved" and after more than an hour had to leave.... without ever having my teeth cleaned. To top if off the girls at the front desk (Maria, again) were really nasty to me when I told them that I would not be returning and that I would like to have my current x-rays so that I could take them to another dentist. I picked Valencia Dental through my insurance (Blue Cross) as a contracted provider. Having had some serious pain in one of my teeth for some time I wasn't really expecting to hear "good" news from the dentist but what I went through here was FAR WORSE than I could of ever imagined! After being told by the dentist that I needed between $7,000- $11,000 worth of dental work (some necessary, most cosmetic) I informed Dr. Mylene Nguyen that I had just gotten married and had recently relocated and that, that was just not in my budget. I told her that I would like to get a root canal and a crown put on the main tooth that was causing me problems (Any one who has ever had a root canal can attest to the kind of pain that you are in prior to treatment.) and that we would just gradually have to work towards the other stuff as the funds became available. Both my husband and I made appts on the same day. We both waited beyond 30 minutes, then they told us they couldn't do the cleaning. We though okay they must be really swamped. They fixed a small cavity my hubby had, and told him he could use some other work not covered by our insurance. They rescheduled his cleaning. He went back and still waited about 20 minutes, only to be told it would be another 30 to have the cleaning.\r When I went in they told me I had some problems with old fillings, and that those have to fixed, which I don't doubt. They also told me I need a special cleaning for my gums, that my insurance doesn't pay for and that they will not do a regular cleaning at all until I do that. I told them I would not be able to pay for it for about a year or more, and they said no to the cleaning. Worst experience in my life! Dentist are okay, they wanted my husband to pay $5,000.00 for some procedures and Ortho I have nothing againt the dentist, but the Lady in charged of the paper work Maria needs current continuing education. She needs to learn how to treat a patient with respect, courtesy and dignity. After relocating from the South Bay, I needed to find a new Dentist. I chose this group out of my list of providers from my insurance company.\r \r The cleaning procedure was okay, but I wasn't impressed by the staff or their need to sell unwanted services. They have what seems to be a "closer" come in after the cleaning. I too was told that I had a "gum disease" and really should buy their $30 mouth rinse and also tried to sell me a $60 "gum irrigation". Isn't that called "water"? I was also told that they would really like to come in and have my teeth cleaned every 3 months, which of course isn't covered by insurance. I felt like I was at a used car lot. I like Valencia Dental Group a lot. They have a very professional staff that is trained properly in insurance and billing. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable during an exam. The office is really nice and well kept, and the decor is pleasant to look at. more
