If you are looking for a great salon, look no further. I loved, loved my haircut. You know you always look great when you leave a salon, the proof of a great haircut for me is if I can look great the next day when I style it. Seriously, one of the best cuts ever. I am so happy. Thank you! more

I'm doing this review to say Donna has been doing my hair for many years and she never misses. It is always the best most progressive hair cut's. I sit in the chair and Donna asks what I would like, sometime I saw I have no Idea and that is when she say do you want to leave it to me? When I say ""yes"" thats when the artist appears. I have never left disappointed. A great hair dresser and person!!!!! more

Finally, I have found the best salon ever.....Jamie cuts and colors my hair and has taken 20 years off my appearance! The salon has a great atmosphere and very convenient to get to from anywhere in the bay area. I think the salon is so upbeat because of Edward - he employs the best stylists. That combined with a beautiful salon and friendly, professional treatment is a winning combination. more

Awful. I've been to beauty schools to be a hair model and have gotten better results than at Edwards. Donna is very sweet and affectionate but must have gotten side-tracked because she just could not get the color to look... normal! She doesn't know how to do a balayage and instead made it look like I had two inch roots AFTER she was done with my hair. What to do? Fix me up before I leave by adding... brown. Twice. After three rounds of color, I still had weird lines in my hair and so she did the unthinkable- she started cutting to fix the color. The flawed color was worse on one side so she started cutting there to ""thin it out"". Of course, this was at the top of my head, near the roots where she was doing this, so my HEAD looks lopsided in addition to the color being uneven. She loaded my hair with products before I left, gave me a hug and free product, but honestly my hair was really nice and long before I went in to Edwards and totally screwed up ever since. I called to complain but given the degree of complete departure from a professional service (I've died my OWN hair dozens of times even I can do better) I'm terrified of going back there. $260 and my cuteness down the drain. more

Edward is a real treat always, and the atmosphere is bright and cheerful. It's why Im never sad to have to get my roots done. Oh goody, time to see Edward again!! more

This is a fantastic hair salon - everyone is kind and attentive and seems happy to be working here. Appointments are made with ease, I'm never kept waiting, and the staff is very interested in my having a great experience. When I leave I feel great and I'm always bound to get compliments on my color - I have been getting color done by Jason for a few years consistently and he is amazing. I appreciate his honesty when it comes to what will and won't work for my hair. There is no pushiness or ""stylist knows best -ego-man"" stuff going on in this salon. I feel like it's a real collaboration when it comes to color and style. Never one-sided. Freshed baked cookies and a hot cup of tea is my favorite thing to indulge in at Edwards and well, it just makes me feel right at home. I could go on and on - but surely you catch the 5-star message here. You won't be disappointed! Pros: It just doesn't get any better. Real people. Real Salon. more

I get my color and cut there all the time! Angie was the last to do it and I will return to her! When I had my consultation with Angie (which, I might add was complimentary), she understood what I wanted and hence, I was very pleased with the outcome. I was recommend to Edwards Salon from a friend of mine who could not stop talking about how great of a salon it is.and her hair always looks good, so I decided to give it a shot. I was so happy that I made that decision, because my hair has never looked so good! Jason is great! I have very thick, curly unruly hair, and when he was done with my haircut and style, I looked straight out of a magazine! My hair never looked so good! He was very charming and professonal from start to finish! Love tha salon and staff there too! Highly recommend him and the salon to anyone ready to make a change, and get ready to rock it out! Ok, i just moved here from the east coast and just don't feel like going to the city (sorry after living in Manhattan... there are no other cities) I heard the best way to find a stylist is to ask someone who has a hairstyle you like... so i did 3 times and hear Edward's Salon twice. They were all so nice that i wondered if they were any good (sorry, just being honest) They were GREAT!!!! i felt like i was amongst friends, highlights and a cut and they nailed them both. Now i just need to find a good Dr., maybe i'll try Marin again! Pros: Great talented fun people doing great hair more

I really hate getting my hair cut...and Roxanne Hatamaria has changed all that. She is very gentle with me and doesn't force my hair to do something it won't. NOW I am getting compliments on my hair all the time...and everyone can tell when I've had my hair colored...or maybe they can't...but they think I've been away for a long weekend and look fabulous! She really listens to me...we collaborate on the right cut and right color...I have to live in it...it needs to be comfortable for me. Truthfully, you know we would put up with anything to have great hair...now I'm just lucky I don't have to compromise. Great hair dresser, nice salon, and no paying for parking...and I come from the city...definitely worth the bridge toll. Thanks, Roxanne! more

I drive from the City to see Roxanne every three weeks for color (I need to cover the grey on my super fast growing roots!) She also does my highlights and cuts (oh and throws in a brow tint when the greys start showing up there too!) I get compliments on my color ALL THE TIME and after being with her for over a year now, need highlights far less frequently than I have in the past. I think it's part her technique and part the great products she uses. more

I recently had a an opportunity to get my hair done at Edwards Salon in Mill Valley by the most fabulous hair stylist West of the Mississippi, ""Kristen Jacobs."" Her color expertise is by far the best I have ever encountered. I have recieved numerous compliments by friends, family and even strangers. If you're looking for a stylist to do your color, then look no further, Kristen is your person. Kristen's skills, professionalism and manners, along with Edwards Salon's fun atmosphere, ambiance and convenience by far makes this the BEST salon in Marin, if not the Bay Area! I've gone to Edward's Salon a few times now and every time it just keeps getting better. Not only is the interior design great - with soft colors and a fresh modern look, but they've got some great treats too! Whether it's an apple or a cookie, tea or water, they treat each client with great attentive service - and they're cuts aren't bad either. I've had my hair done by Linsey a few times and after each cut I get countless compliments. It always feels great to look good and get complemented; which is why I will undoubtedly always go back to Linsey. Do yourself a favour and check this place out. more

Edward?s is a great place, but my stylist / color specialist is even greater. I?ve been with Roxanne for 5 years. No one has been as consistent with my color as she has. No one has been able to cover my gray as she has. Every time she has a new idea as far as a hair cut, it always receives compliments such as ?you look 10 years younger.? I will follow her where ever she goes. more
