when faced with the most difficult decision of my life the thought of having to go to an assembly line clinic made me even more horrified. thank god for early options....the people, doctors and staff, along with the amazingly calming environment are just amazing and made me most comfortable during one of the most difficult times in my life. please consider early options, you will be more than satisfied. you owe it to your body, mind and spirit!!! Early Option really deserves five-stars. I'm only giving it four because this way, people will be more likely to read this. Read my post if you, like I was earlier, were having doubts because of the ""all-too-perfect"" ratings. The person who gave it one-star really had her points. It seems all too suspicious that this place seems to only have five-stars. But my boyfriend told me, ""If this place is really didn't deserve all the perfect scores, why isn't there any reviews with actual negative things to say?"" I don't think they can delete the negative reviews. So if Early Option is fraudulent, at least one person would write about it and warn others, especially since people with negative opinions tend to be more vocal. Also, if you Wikipedia Rating Site, it shows that an average rating of over 100 reviews is usually quite accurate. Though it's true the reviews might be written by employees, let me tell you why I don't think so. Today, although I was doubtful, I decided to give Early Options a try. From the receptionist, to the nurse, to the doctor, everyone was incredibly kind, caring and understanding. They seem to know exactly what was going on with me physically and emotionally. Everyone made sure that I had all my questions answered and informed me what will happen next at every step. Although it seems too good to be true, I gave ""Aspiration"" a try. I never had a pap smear test, and never had an abortion before, so choosing this ""semi-surgical"" process was quite a hard decision for me. For a person who hates needles, I was quite scared. Turns out that all my worries were not needed. No need to say more, like all the other reviews mentioned, the procedure itself was practically painless. With a slightly uncomfortable five minutes, it was done before I knew it. The heating pad really helped with the cramping, and I had a lollipop in my mouth the whole time. The nurse even brought me tea afterward. No one rushed me to get out of the room after the procedure, and I could stay in it with my boyfriend only for as long as I need to feel ok enough to leave. I took me about 2 minutes to ""recover"" and proceed to leave for home. There was no injections, no pain, nothing scary, everything expected and understood. I never thought abortion could be so easy. Oh, and they really respect your privacy. They have so many measures to make sure that your visit was confidential and info about this visit won't leak. I would like to take the time to share my experience with using these wonderful doctors at this office.\r \r My procedure was completed on August 4th, 2009 around 6:00 pm . I am writing this testimony August 5th, 2009. \r \r Let me start by saying, about 8 weeks ago, I found out I was pregnant. I panicked. So many feelings went through my mind. No one in the world can describe how it feels to find yourself pregnant. \r \r I have had morning sickness, and I was throwing up morning, noon and night due to the pregnancy, worry, stress, and I had no idea how to deal with anything like this happening in my life. \r \r Many people can judge you, but they have no idea how many emotions you experience. I cried for weeks praying for God to show me what I should do.\r \r I live in a very small place where this type of procedure available at Early Options would never be available for me.\r \r I thank God for allowing me to find this place. I checked out the Planned Parenthoods in my area. They treated me like I was just another number and were trying to schedule me in to give me gas and scrap my uterus (D&C). The “Clinics” did not even care to talk to me \r like I was a person. \r \r They told me that I would not see the doctor until the surgical procedure. This made me very uncomfortable. So, I set out on my search to find a better place.\r \r I went looking on the internet and typed in “early options for an abortion procedure”. To my surprise, there was an actual place called Early Options. It showed me Early Options in NYC. I read every testimony that people have posted. They are angels in my book. They made me feel so special. They focused all of their attention on me. \r \r I just cannot describe in words how kind and caring the doctor\r and her assistant were to me.\r \r If you are a woman who is pregnant, and you want to end your pregnancy, this is the easiest and safest procedure I have ever found. \r \r If you have the ability to go to this office, it will be the best decision you will ever make. I never thought an abortion could be over so easy and painless. It was a very quick and easy procedure. The all-women staff were very understanding, cheerful, smiling, and jokative in a potite manner. Everything was explained to me clearly, I had few question and they made it easy. I had the aspiration procedure and it was just like getting a PAP smear. Slight discomfort but overall tolerable. Ladies making this choice is not easy, but if it comes to terminate pregnancy this is the method to trust. I asked my gyno for recommendations and unfortunately did not give me this place's information. I was very persistent to find a better method to terminate for future health and my well being. I was sooo glad to listen to my intituition, I had the surgical done yesterday. Its amazing how the feeling of peace and body felt back to normal. The all female staff and atmosphere are very comforting. There was only one other person in the waiting room before my procedure, so it is very private, and you get individual attention (as opposed to the 'herd mentality"" that seems to exist at other clinics. The procedure feels like a pap smear, is done in minutes, and with little to no side effects. They took the time to answer all my questions, and provided me with future options to prevent future pregnancies. I was very nervous coming in, and felt very confident and reassured upon leaving. The staff was brilliant and compassionate. The procedure took less than 5 minutes, and the doctor and nurse keep you informed the entire time. Your comfort is top priority and each person is treated as an individual with no judgment what so ever. I can't imagine going anywhere else for such a delicate matter. This is the first time I have ever posted an online review about ANYTHING....but reading all of these posts was an enormous comfort to me when I made the decision to go to early options, so I feel compelled to add my own. I have never in my life encountered a more compassionate nurse or doctor. Even though I had spent literally hours reading through the website over and over before my appointment, it was comforting to have everything explained to me again in person...and they were more than happy to do this. My boyfriend was with me the entire time, and they gave us opportunities to ask questions every step of the way. No one ever seemed impatient with us or anxious to move on to the actual procedure....it was as though they were happy to wait until we were absolutely ready. I chose to have the aspiration procedure--for me, the cramps were definitely painful (they explained that it is different for everyone though) but only lasted for a minute or two. The entire thing took five minutes, and the cramps stopped almost immediately when it was done. You see nothing...my boyfriend held my hand the whole time and the nurse talked to (and completely distracted) both of us throughout the procedure as well. After it was over, I was given a heating pad, water and tea and told to stay in the room laying down for as long as I liked....and they meant it. No rushing us out at all! I just can't say enough about how nice everyone in this office was...even when I called to make an appointment, the person I spoke to on the phone spent a good 15 minutes answering my questions and couldn't have put me at ease more (and i mean at one point, I was actually crying on the phone to her). These women are beyond understanding....of course, I'm happy that my boyfriend was able to be there, but honestly, looking back, I would have actually felt just fine had I been there alone--they are that wonderful. This place is amazing. I am writing the review minutes after the procedure. I am a chicken for any medical procedure and I was calm and relaxed. The doctor is fabulous. All I felt was slight cramps, the procedure took minutes. The place is clean and they are very thorough - everything is explained in detail before the procedure. They are caring and very warm. I wish I had known about this place in the past. Early Options should be your only option. Thanks to the staff for making this experience a pleasant one (as crazy as that may sound). You guys ROCK!!! I was so pleased with Early Options. The staff was very comforting, informative and helpful. Although I considered the aspiration, I ended up doing the RU486 option which was a bit painful due to cramping but all in all much easier than a traditional surgical abortion (which they do not perform at this facility). They also let your boyfriend stay in the room, during the whole process which was a huge comfort to me. Early Options made a very difficult process much easier. This place and the women who work here are so very comforting. Before I came here, I had had a very bad clinic experience and walked out before treatment because it was so horrific. \r I am so thankful that I found Early Options. The procedure was quick, with some cramping, and the assistant held my hand the entire time. Well 1st off im floridaboys girlfriend(2post below and 2 yr relationship) we went there about a week ago on a saturday our usual date night but anyway,My mom was originally supposed to be in the room with mebut parking wasterrible soshe couldnt get upstairs in timeso he stayed in the room with me and held my hand the whole way through this is our 2nd abortion the 1st time i went to my private practice gyn in nj and it was surgical horrible traumatizing experience i was 16 going on 17 at the time and it was 2 days before my birthday need less to say my birthday was ok but i really didnt get over it until about the middle of last year now im 18 and here we are again so this time i didnt want to think i just wanted to do it and act like it never happened (because after 7 or 8 years of hell im finally just 2months away from college and im just to close) so of course the first one to know was my mom she was surprised but supportive of my decision so we proceeded to calling my gyn she is in big time demand which normally is ok but at the time we couldnt afford it so then next step was to call planned parenthood bad idea my mom was scared and so was i we called almost every one in nyc area and they all said you will be awake and u will feel it (in terms of surgical) and the pill was really not an option i've heard to many horror stories so i took upon myself to figuere it out on my own i typed in private practice abortion into google and the 1st thing on the list was early options i read it then called for a next day appt for the aspiration so we came up with the money and she drove me and bf down there (mind you the day b4 the appt was the 1st time i cried about the whole thing)so we walked in expecting a million people sitting ther for the same thing i was instead it was just me and him and the sound of a waterfall so the nurse gave me papers etc she was possibly the nicest nurse i've ever met then we went into the doctors office discussed everything for a half hour or so then i made the decision to have him in the room since mommys car was double parked and i didnt want her to get a ticket so the nurse talked to me the whole time about college and interior design(which is my major)which kept my mind kinda off what was going on its not that it was painful just uncomfortable but almost like a long papsmear of course i have the worst threshold for pain or discomfort in places that i cant see so having someone speak to me was great and he sat right next to me i was breaking his hand just because i was so nervous and scared it felt like the longest 5mins ever but when it was done i was kinda surprised and yet i still wanted to act like nothing happened(i rember the whole procedure i just kept thinking its an ultrasound) come the evening i wanted to continue lieing to myself but by then it started settling in of course hanging at the bar and playing pool helped but by the next day i just felt crappy but i just didnt know what to think at that point nor at this point a week later a mix of regret more so remorse and alot of what if and just feeling really senstive its getting a little better everyday and somedays are just not that much better its alot of up and down but im trying to be patient and nice to myself one day at a time and the support and understanding from my mommy and my boyfriend is a major help but in terms of early options anyone who needs todo this really shouldnt go anywhere else the procedure is something i dont believe is offered anywhere else and it makes a big difference and its nowhere near as traumatizing as surgical. when i was researching this place, i was skeptical about the all 5-star ratings. i thought those reviews must have been written by their interns or something. but since this was the only affordable place that was willing to squeeze me in (i found out that i was pregnant 3 days before i left to a country where abortion is illegal), i decided to go there.
