I was given to Disaster Cleanup Services based on another referral, as opposed to looking for them directly. They were able to go in and do the clean up very quickly, they got the testing that it needed to have done, they got the bathroom put back together, and they did a little bit of additional work. I was a little bit dissatisfied with the additional work. I had to have them come back in to redo it, and it still wasn't a great job, but at that point I had decided that I was not going to deal with it anymore and that I just needed to get moving forward.
I asked for an option to do additional work on top of that, but I never heard back from them on that. Also, after having an opportunity to look at the bill and think about it, although the overall bid was in accordance with some of the other ones I got, the methodology for billing left a tremendous amount of room for profit.
RESPONSE FROM Disaster Cleanup Services:
This is Gregg the owner of Disaster Cleanup Services. This project was given to us by another restoration company because at the time they were completely over booked. They asked us to come in and help so that Mr. Rupp would not have to wait. The price of the job was set by the other company. Also Mr. Rupp had agreed on the price before we even started the project.
As for his comment on not following up at the end of the project. We completed our work and the additional work was to be done by the original company. We performed the work he asked us to do and the additional work was discussed with the original company. I do not know why they did not follow up with him.
As you can see customer service is very important to our company. That is why we ask for our clients feedback. I am not happy that Mr. Rupp was not completely taken care of but with his project we were only involved in the middle of the project.
