Review content:
In general it was a good experience. Disaster Cleanup Services was pretty prompt, very responsive, and helpful. The one thing that bothers me about it though is that there was a large discrepancy for what they would charge a home owner versus what they charge insurance. I know it's probably part of the business and everybody does it, but it's just kind of annoying. RESPONSE FROM Disaster Cleanup Services: This is Gregg Sargent the owner of Disaster Cleanup Services. When we do a job through insurance, the insurance companies require us to put what services we did into an estimating program called Xactimate. We put in each service that we perform and the program gives us a total to bill the insurance company.
With Mr. Bochman even though the insurance company took a while to decided to not cover his project we still went ahead and got the work done so that their home would not have additional issues.
Really the program decides what we charge. If the insurance company does not cover the project we offer our clients a cash price to help them out. We also do this because they pay when the job is completed.
This means we do not have to spend all that time collecting and following up with the insurance company which many times takes months. I hope this explains the difference in price.
